  • Buffalo grass is very hard to get started if you don't weed - so I weeded. And weeded, and weeded. Three full days of it! I also got a lot of seeds planted so I'm hoping the patches will be thicker next year and be less work. 😐 In the end, the area will be very beautiful and natural though 😊

This was a real pain in the butt, but it had to be done! The foxtail had gotten seen heads, and it they weren't pulled they would have literally dropped millions of seeds! I have figured out that purple love grass mixed with the shorter grasses like this will help keep the weeds at bay, so wish me luck next year 🥴

Another fine "Weed video", lol. See that its helps support the hillside from sliding down, nice glimpse of the mulch staying in place too🌿🌿🌱🌱

In a lot of the buffalo grass videos I have watched they mowed it. I guess that keeps the weeds at bay to some extent.

Unfortunately you have to either hand pull or spray foxtail. Cutting it will just make it flower shorter 😐
