- That's it! All of the flat stone (four loads altogether) has been laid for 2024, and the Dwarf orchard is looking fantastic! I will be shifting things around here and there, working on the round stones, sorting stone, moving dirt, and other things, and will likely do a short or two to show the results, and it's possible I will do a video of the clay/peat tuckpointing of the stairs, but it's possible there will be no time this year...

Thank you for watching Planet Mojo and have yourself a great day!
Only one stone needed major shaping on this final run. I prefer to do as little shaping as possible, and I achieved that! From the progress made this year on the pathway, I should be able to easily finish the flat stone work next year - depending on what I actually do. If I do a circular end, then it will be another all summer task. A couple more short videos coming this year, likely just updates though. Enjoy!

What a fantastic space! I would love something like that right at my doorstep!
It’s looking so good! The walkway is really handsome. The lily garden will be nice. Lily’s and orchids are my favorite flowers. That water hydrant is so cool! You could never paint it and make it look like that now. All that old paint is so atmospheric.❤️🤗🐝
Thanks Deborah! I agree about the fire plug. I will wash off the dirt, but it is going to keep it's original patina! I remember riding through the town it came from on the bus when I was a kid, and thinking yellow was a goofy color for a fire hydrant. I moved to that same town many years later at about the time my daughter was born, and the hydrants were 100% red at that time. Not sure when the green came in, but it's part of it's history 😊
@@PlanetMojo Wow, the fact that you have memories of them throughout your life is wonderful. Your wife gave you the perfect gift there!🤗❤️🐝
I don't say this often, but that is breathtaking! I hope you do a final walk through before the snow flies, when the leaves have all fallen. It would be a sort of season wrap-up.
I agree! And a video or two on the espalier apples would be nice as well 😊
Will the cobblestone be like river rock? Tumbled pavers? I really like that idea of a more formal (but yet not really) around the espalier fence. If you do make the greenhouse, this will be a magical little place!
It will likely be tumbled pavers. I've done cobblestone, but it takes forever, and it would likely wash out with all of the water in the area. 😐 It does look awesome though!
It looks like a lot of work, although it is very beautiful!
Thanks Jo! It is a lot of work, but you only do the work once and it's beautiful forever 😊
I really love the stonework in the orchard! ♥♥♥♥😊I see the espalier fence is looking very good, will there be an update on that? 🤔
Yes! I will be doing an update before the end of summer on all of the trees. Likely two videos.
Is this the type of stonework you will be doing around the tiny house? If so, that place will really look like a little gingerbread house!
Yes. The far side of the tiny house will get this, and my daughter would like an entire patio done in the same stone!
Hi Mark , that’s a really cool piece. Was a bit surprised you moved it by yourself. Good job old timer! lol just kidding,im not far behind you!!
That surprised me as well! I have a similar hydrant in my garden, and it took a forklift to move it!
Mojo strong like bull!! 💪💪 Actually... it was mostly leverage. That is an old West Allis fire plug from 1959! Pretty cool memorabilia 😊
@@PlanetMojo cool West Allis history lives on.
@@Powson-we4zx Just curious, do you remember when West Allis had yellow fire hydrants?
Hi Mojo love it to bits shame you ran out of flagstones, will you be filling the gaps between the flagstones with sand or mortar or just leaving it as it is.
Thanks Larry! I could go get more flagstone, but I need to limit work on the gardening a bit with the Tiny House project needing my constant attention (doing the roof soon!). The joints will be tuckpointed with a clay/peat mixture to about 1/4" below the surface. It should grow a dome of moss from there. Some of the larger gaps will get "things" inserted to fill them. I'm hoping to get a bit of that done this year, but if not, definitely next spring. 😊
Looks great. Tgat hydrant is heavy, mini excavator with a thumb hmmmm 🤔 sure save on your back. Intetesting ad before the video. You may be interested, battery powered hydro washer, i may get one
Thanks Dave! Was it a DeWalt? I do want a power washer...
