Dwarf Orchard Stonework ― A Fork in the Road Part One

  • In this video, I continue the stone walkway around the Honeycrisp apple tree in a smooth circular path based on the tree itself, then I start the work on the fork in the road where the upper path meets this path with an arc shaped gap. It will take another full day to finish the fork in the road area ― including the step up to the upper path ― and when this area is done the land will be able to be sculpted in three different areas which will make the entire area look absolutely gorgeous.

Two more days is my guess to finish the Fork in the Road. The angle grinder with a diamond blade was a lifesaver in this video, and will be even more important as I run low on stone. You can find the tools I used here:

Looking very beautiful! That is a lot of hard, hot, bendy work, better you than me. Great job!!

I still need to recharge the unit, but it should make the place icy cold 😊🧊🧊🧊

It's amazing seeing this come together over multiple years. You have some amazing skills there Mojo! ♥😉

OMG that is so beautiful! Where did you learn this? 🤔♥🌳🍎

I actually taught myself. I made my first flagstone patio back when I was like 13 or 24 with free stone 😊

That’s so beautiful! You’re doing a really good job with it. Will the walkway go completely through the garden eventually?🐝🤗❤️

Yes. I am thinking of having it lead to a tiny greenhouse over by the water hydrant. I really miss getting out there in the winter and planting things. Otherwise it will lead to the same place without the greenhouse, and I'll just make a stone patio-like area there.

@@PlanetMojo oh great! I vote for the greenhouse. I sincerely miss my greenhouses. What will you build it out of, glass or plastic? Or my whimsical favorite, old wooden windows and doors? lol🤗🐝❤️

@@deborahdanhauer8525 I was thinking of white oak (painted, but extremely rotproof), glass, and copper. I want something very old-school in looks, but modern in function. I actually designed commercial greenhouses in my business a few years back (massive tomato factories really), and don't want anything like that 🤮 I need a stairway down to the lower level over there as well, and would tie the two together.🤔

@@PlanetMojo oh, that really sounds cool! I love copper in all its stages. That would add so much to your garden. I hope it gets to happen. You have great ideas and you execute them so well! Not everyone can say that! It’s fun to watch you in action.🐝❤️🤗

@@deborahdanhauer8525 I'm a big fan of copper as well. I have copper scuppers and a copper vent stack on the house, but neither one has a green patina yet -- after 13 years 🤔

I was thinking of pavers for my tiny house, but this is much nicer - but I can't do it, and don't trust a landscaper to be artistic. 😑

    • @PlanetMojo
      @PlanetMojo  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

That is always the problem. You need to actually go out and see a person's work, and if they're good, they will be expensive and booked-up 😐

Hi Mojo what a pain in the butt I'm thinking if🪨💎 you had a lot more stone to choose from life would be a lot easier. I was admiring your apples 🍎 they look ready for eating.

    • @PlanetMojo

Thanks Larry! Yea, the apples are looking good, but still have weeks to go before they're ripe. Then all of a sudden we have way too many apples! I need to make cider, but I can't do it this year unfortunately😑 It will get harder to fit the stone until it gets impossible, then I'll stop for the year and focus on other things (copper caps for the espalier fence for one). 😊
