i tried to install threatclassic2 through curse forge, but it kept saying incompatible, tried every threat addon in there none would work, what could i be doing wrong?
@@shmootube5000 Hmm I would suggest checking that you are downloading the correct version and that you are pasting it into the correct World of Warcraft interface folder. Here is a link of the version I downloaded www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/threatclassic2/download/5936219 Since there are like 5 different versions of WoW right now, make sure you are saving it to the proper addons folder. If you are playing on the fresh realms, you want to save it to the "classic_era" folder (World of Warcraft > _classic_era_ > Interface > AddOns)
@@GriffintheDude88 i’m playing on classic hardcore anniversary realm, and i’m just clicking the “install” button on the curseforge website instead of download which did install enemy cast bars just fine, but most other addons seem to be incompatible even when i click the “classic” search box. do you think it’s curseforge or blizzard being dumb and i need to force it into the addon folder manually?
Sorry for the gap in content friends! This last week has been ROUGH for me. Last Thursday my computer crashed (for context today is Thursday and I just got my PC back), and I also fell super sick. Some of my files were corrupted and I ended up having to re-record about 80% of the audio. I'm so happy to finally have this video out, and I really hope you enjoy it! As always I love your feedback
When tanking lower dungeons and having threat issues. I suggest pulling with rolling hots on. When in bear form the healed amount gives aoe healing threat with the bear modifier.
YES! This is amazing I had no idea this was a thing. Your HOTs are ticking before anyone else is acting in the fight, so you're effectively building AOE Threat on all mobs around you preemptively TY for this tip dude it's fucking great
@@erikhendrickson59 Yeah I really should have mentioned that in this video. I mostly only use this tactic when I am completely out of rage before a large pull, but often I find myself pooling rage so I don't want to break bear form. Super helpful trick!
Nice beginners guide. I love the druid class fantasy, and how they are as different style of hybrid compared to other hybrid support classes like shaman or paladin, which are like a "battlemage" or "Spellsword" that uses melee, magic, and heals all together plus the bufs. Druid is unique cause they mimic classes like warrior and rogue, maybe mage and priest for the casters, and require different forms to play the various roles. But they are a good starter class to play, since u can get a chance to try out all the various roles, and they got lots of mobility options to get around, with mark of wild being like the perfect buff for hybrids since it gives a bit of everything. I played prot warrior in og vanilla, and then enhancement shaman which became my new main in tbc onward,, and still love that class. Bu I slowly leveled a druid for fun, twinking it for pvp at 29 39 49 ect..... cause they can really shine in pvp with all teh stuff they can do like powershift to get out of roots/snares while running a flag, stealth to cap a flag or kill the efc, or throw out heals or roots and stuff. Very flexible, tho still not fully developed until later xpacs like tbc or wotlk..... once druids get cyclone they are real fun cause that is one of the best cc's.
Druids are definitely hit pretty hard by the hybrid tax in Classic, mostly in the end game. Most Druids will end up healing in raid because many raid groups simply won't take cat DPS or Moonkin, and Warriors generally make better tanks than Druids (although Druid tanks can be awesome for a select few fights). It is fun to explore the different playstyles while leveling though, and there will be raids out there who fill there numbers with the "memespecs", so if Cat or Moonkin is what calls to you there will be opportunities. Some people are attracted to the extreme min/maxing you have to do as cat, for example. My goal in 2019 was to prove that Druid was not the most scuffed healer in a raid setting, and with a lot of effort and practice I was able to outperform most of the other healers on my team. I think its just a cool class all around and will always be my favorite
I’m leveling as balance rn with omen of clarity staff bonking and moonfireing between autos, I’ve been pulling 40-50 dps, only about 5-10 less than full spamming starfire, but mana is crazy effecient and you can spread dots for fake aoe, using a lower rank of moonfire to not overwrite dot on single target
I love the druid class fantasy but in vanilla it lowkey sucks being the jack of all trades master of none. Feral requires you farm out low level dungeons permanently just to do competitive dps and OOMkin just sucks in vanilla for raiding and for PVP its essentially just a worse fire mage. All this and they aren't even that amazing healers either (idk how this works with dot cap removed though) in all my time every raid I've been in only ever has 2 druids, 1 of them being forced to healing touch only as rejuv can't be stacked and hots
Feral Druids actually do decent damage in dungeons while leveling if played right, but none of the specs are top tier for sure. I think they are actually great healers in raid! You're correct that we only use Healing Touch, so it isn't the most enthralling gameplay, but they are very mana efficient and can easily compete with the other healers in the right hands. I actually have a video coming out today about P1 Raid Healing if you wanna check it out =)
@@GriffintheDude88 For sure, I didn't mean they were 100% bad healers I think I was just thinking about the gameplay and being forced onto 1 and only 1 out of x amount of healing spells I think thats just most classes in vanilla though, healing at the highest levels really isn't too complex outside of downranking the same spell with healing power gear
It is kind of sad that we don't really get to use our Healing Over Time spells when it is such a big part of the class fantasy. In fact back in 2019 our healers were banned from using certain spells for fear they would knock off important buffs. HoTs aren't really efficient in Phase 1, so even with the removal of the buff limit we're mostly casting Healing Touch. In future phases with better gear Regrowth and Rejuvenation become MUCH more viable. I'm excited!
Yea, I love druids for the class fantasy as well, and being a unique version of a hybrid that uses different forms to mimic a warrior rogue or caster/healer. But still lacking in the design, the talents and abilities. Its one of my biggest problems with classic vanilla.... that the hybrid classes all kinda seem half baked and dont feel finished or well done until later xpacs like tbc and wotlk. That and stuff like gear itemization being bad, or stats like hit/crit/haste having melee or caster versions instead of being combined like they do later on, same with spell dmg vs spell healing instead of just spell power. I wish we could play classic with the wotlk client version of the game with all its upgrades, just balanced for lvl 60 classic content. Then we don't have the annoying hybrid tax and all classes just feel better to play. I played prot warrior and enhancement shaman mainly..... and my enhancer shaman can do good in pvp, same as druid, but in pve u are basically there to be a buffbot with only decent damage.
@@jlangdon634 haha no offense taken. I laughed super hard when I read that. Umm I don't have a list compiled, but I will work on putting one together, and I'll pin it in the comments.
Haha yeah I’ve been working on that. I’m a healer at heart so all of my heals are macro’d but I wasn’t used to hotkeys when dps/tanking. Since then I’ve added more hotkeys and I am training my muscle memory to use them.
