Thank you for this. As a first time wow player and picking Druid it’s been fun. I’ve been figuring out the druids strengths, but really struggle with pvp because I don’t know anything about the other classes and their strengths/weaknesses.
This was much appreciated, and handy! My druid's still only L28 so I have a journey ahead, but content like this really helps.

Every other video I've seen about druids in classic actually say that heart of the wild build is great for raiding because the 20% extra int is huge and you still get the main things in the resto tree.
I've raided as 0/30/21 and it's fine, can off tank, dps, decurse and heal fine.
If youre dpsing or tank hotw is not the way to go.

yeah, its hotw or power shift build depending on what you plan on doing. in both cases you end up up with 5 points in heart of the wild.

Quick note about Powershifting as a full Feral druid. You need to include the line "/cancelaura Leader of the Pack" BEFORE /cancelform. The game doesn't remove LotP before shapeshift is cancelled so if you shift properly (little to no delay) by hotkeying the stance bar in blizzard UI you won't have 100% LotP up time. If you've got LotP and already got the macros bound and on your bars it's easily replicable just by clicking the stance bar icons quickly.

I tried to put /dismount in at one point too but it made the macro need more than 1 button press.
To follow up on this, you would also need to /cancelaura Predatory Strikes as well. For some reason it acts as a hidden aura in game that cancels out every other shift into cat/bear form. Just be sure to add that line after LotP

Yes. Loved it how the shaman came in, threw down a totem, and went to sleep.
I used to raid with 0/30/21 back in vanilla. Helped dps trash, healed most bosses and offtanked if it was needed. Sure, I was the worst at each job but nobody else could do all 3.
Because you had no skill, play better you made us look bad.
I checked the details! logs and druids are topping the meters with an inventory full of MCPs ^^

As a druid on a PvP server. I feel that farming the elementals in Un'Goro is a very strong gold farm. Obviously better with mining/herb, but even without the spacing of spawns is ideal for the druid ST cat rotation.The spacing between each spawn is such that you'll never aggro multiple, but never travel >4sec between spawns mostly. Also, there are several spawns where you can use charge to skip a few seconds of walking.
Scarlet Spellbinders drop the Crusader enchant recipe. The archmages don't drop them until sometime after 2.0, during the BC pre-release event (I think that's the patch). 5:40
Heart of Fire, often dropped by the high-end mobs that also drop elemental fire, can be transmuted into 3 elemental fire with only a 10 minute transmute cooldown. I know on my server, elemental fire just sells quicker than hearts presently in Phase 1

I guess in addition, I think you should have covered Balance still, even for end-game when druids are considering going healing spec for dungeons but don't want to be completely gimped for world content. While bleeds don't work on elementals (which sucks as feral when farming them for coveted materials), Starfire and Moonfire still have effect. It wasn't really covered how effective a dungeon geared balance (or) balance/resto hybrid could function, but even playing around with the talent calculator, you can poke into Moonkin form at the cost of slight healing gains, or get better healing at the cost of raw damage (dependent on how your ideal resto talent set-up looks though, this may not be possible to spec into hybrid much.)
Mana is not an issue (short term) in most dungeons since most casters drink after every pull/every other pull giving druids ample time to drink for themselves, though heavy pushback in solo content might be an issue when casting chain starfire. A druid with mana consumables (mana potions and demonic runes) will definitely fare better if they have access to alchemy and satyr farming, with the potions being easily farmed as druids are able to get to herb nodes quicker and without much less interruption (via entangling roots and hibernate).
The major downside to Balance druid is still gear, as most caster DPS gear is cloth rather than leather, and presently in phase 1 of classic WoW the druid dungeon set is kind of ass. I think if someone really wants to be a caster druid, it's totally plausible up until raiding (unless the raid lead doesn't mind a little less damage), and that the strengths of these other druid options should have been explored.

I know these videos are taxing to make, especially when you take on -every- class and a lot of variables come into play with leveling, end game farming, and then end game content shaking up a lot of builds, but I beg of you to please consider showing off an Elemental shaman build, especially with elemental mastery (which apparently makes for some swift kill times at level 45). Even if it sucks in long encounters, like druids, I want to see the viability of them for leveling/end game farming.

Btw, could you sum it all up in a vid dedicated to " macros / addons " i think it would help (me/players) get track so when we give wow a try we don't have to wonder what or what not to install/make in order to have an optimal gaming experience.

The Archmages in EPL can NOT drop the Crusader enchant pattern; that was added in in TBC. The only ones that can drop it are the Scarlet Spellbinders in WPL. Tyr's Hand is still a great farming spot though, especially with a friend or two for faster kills

Good vid, very feral dps heavy. Would have been nice to talk on the EASE (And I mean serious Ease) in gathering pre-raid BIS, tanking dungeons and rolling on healing gear. Make sure to notify your grp before hand. Then you're a geared healer rdy to go and pick up Druid gear cause there's only 1-2 per raid. Anyway I'm rambling. Great vid

@@WillEmmo Hope it didn't come across overly critical. The Vid is WONDERFUL (I learned a bunch). Empathize with the difficulty in choosing what to cover, especially with Druid.
There are very few videos about people like me, the filthy casuals who never farm and we are actually the majority of players. Many of us old timers do not have the time required to farm and it becomes increasingly difficult to do dungeons due to time restrictions.
We do all the fun stuff, questing and grouping for what is readily available at the spot we are currently active in. After a max of one hour real life always come knocking, it´s either the kids, the wife or other trivial but nevertheless important tasks to maintain various relations like f.ex. helping my neighbour with his stupid house which is falling apart.
I meet a lot of people like myself, we are the ones who won´t get a mount till at least lvl 50 and tonight I actually had to spend my gametime "farming" for a pair of Nightscape Boots, that took about an hour of killing wolves in Feralas but unfortunately I didn´t quest. Did I mention earlier that I never farm? Well, I guess there are a few exceptions now and then.
Liked the video nevertheless and got a bit wiser about the druid, the only class I really didn´t touch back in 2004.

Good stuff. I’d say focus on the hybrid classes first. Much more interesting. So shaman or paladin next. I’d lean more to shaman. Since paladins are already top tier raid and PvP healers. Shaman is a bit more dynamic.
Paladins next since they are the second most hated.
I honestly wonder why. Even the worst retri paladin is still a capable dispenser of salvation.

this is the first I'm hearing that the Scarlet Archmages can drop the Crusader Enchant. After doing a quick search everyone who says it drops seems to be on the 2.0 patch so I'd like to see some source that shows that they actually drop it on this patch

So boring hearing people say "Druids aren't even close to the best" and then when you pop in to raids you just max rank regrowth/rejuv the tanks and top heals.. Ya'll are clueless. stop saving your mana bosses die in 1-2 minutes just go crazy, it's expensive to top heals as a druid but it's also easy.

ClassicDB shows that Scarlet Archmages do not drop Crusader formula. They drop Elixir of Sages instead. Am I right?

The moment naxx releases im grinding for the legendary staff since it makes you a lot more useful in raids and PvP

What class do you consider the best for WPVP solo or duo. I'm really stuck between shadow, lock or a druid.
Druid in vanilla was the only class that wasn't stat or gear optimized for max level. Which made resto the only viable spec in raids.
You try and do ferlawl or oomkin in raids you will never top dps charts and you can't keep up with other better optimised classes.
But i do Top dps charts ocassionally as cat. 450 dps on golemagg

I think you should cover hybrids first. Because of their "hybrid tax" it is a lot harder to perform good on them besides buffs and healing.

when farming non elite mobs in cat don't wait for cp for ferocious bite. drop rip at 3cp as soon as you get it. the mob will die much faster then trying to rely on a fb crit.
