- MGS3 Volgin Boss fight theme
Been on a Metal Gear High, Played/finished the three games on the HD Collections and waiting to get Rising soon. Wanted to do this theme because its pretty much a favorite since i love the fight and the music makes it more awesome.
Saw it was done before but i worked a bit on it and wanted to upload something so meh screw it, Enjoy

And had a Metal Gear that wasn't a Metal Gear but was instead a giant mole that had a rocket mounted on it's back.
Colonel Volgin truly is awesome.

I find it funny how the main tactic to fighting a sadistic, ultra-buff colonel with electrical powers is to engage him in CQC... if you tried that in real life you'd either get electrocuted the moment you grappled him or get pulverized like Granin.

That's just how tough Big Boss is. He even has to CQC him when his lightning is gone.
It is ? i always use the cigarette stun spray every time he is recharging for electricity or he is using his 'gun'. when he is, he ain't moving and i just go near and stun him like that and besides that, i just dodge all his regular attacks by jumping away

at this point in the game, i believe this wasn't a fight for whoever Snake fought for but a fight for himself. This was a personal vendetta for Snake. The song fits. Nuff said

i use explosives and guns a lot during boss fights, so i didn't put it away. the only think i put away was the tnt...... at his feet. i love how the game ltes you be smart, idk other games that let you do that

I forgot the significance of Ivan until now. Wow, I'm dumb.
When the Man on Fire first was introduced in TPP, I could immediately tell he was Volgin just from the rubber jumpsuit thingy he wears under his coat in MGS3 that you can see in the close ups of him.
I think that was the point of his "character" or body as he was no longer alive. Too bad he was just a prop for P. Mantis.

It's actually fairly easy once you know how to dodge his attacks and his "pattern". When he summons the barrier of bullets to fire at you, go prone. Taking him out non-lethally was very easy. Get near him, CQC slam him and roll on him. Also, putting on the Raikov mask helps you get an extra hit....trust me

I got it for my 3DS and game is frekin awesome, a bit difficult without the other analog stick but still fun. I'm happy they put the entire game on DS for 20 bucks

If you haven't fought Volgin on European Extreme....you haven't lived.
the shagohod engineer looking over the boss arena and seeing one pixel of snake's head: ❗ *MISSION FAILED*
His electric bullet punch will take off A LOT of health if you get hit by the whole thing, even on easy. It's also an instant kill if your max health is too low. Luckily, getting an injury and letting it heal on it's own will increase max health, and the sneaking suit reduces damage taken by half. Life medicine can also be used to heal, though it's rare to find. I use it for auto-life.

How did you like Rising? One of my favorite games ever (next to this one of course)

God, this theme reminds me of Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic 06, two things that I REALLY should not be thinking while listening to MGS3

Thestormwizard I played it on my old 3ds... not the best of experiences
It was a pretty great experience for me. I honestly had tons of fun. I mostly played on easy mode, but normal mode was enjoyable as well
