I really believed this was only going to last for a couple minutes as an intro to the video. I am amazed by the amount of work that would have to go into making this, after already spending so much time playing the game in the first place.

Just finished watching this. Great video, had me laughing a lot. Some jokes seemed to get a little tiring, though, mostly the eating sections and trap jokes (I think I heard "you're welcome bro" more than enough times). There are exceptions, for example I feel like it worked well when Snake preceded it by saying "Thanks" to the guard he was interrogating. There the logical lead-up is "You're welcome, bro", also tying in the joke about traps.
The rest was superbly paced and edited, I especially like the inclusion of the Secret Theatre clips. Love the ending too, the classic plot-twisting phone call being reduced to a single "Bitch! Duun du du DUUUUUN" was a great idea.
There are upsides and downsides to having such a long form of a comedic playthrough, you can set up jokes that pay off many times and over a course of a long video, but it's also harder to keep it consistent over the course of hours. You seem to have a good grasp on what works already, and I think if you're going to make an MGS4 one as well there's a lot of good jokes to dig into. Perhaps try to see more what jokes work well being repeated (I had a chuckle at all the Para-medic calls with Snake quickly dismissing the movies) and which ones don't as much (as mentioned before).
Great job overall, will be subscribing. Haven't seen any previous "The Best Playthrough on TH-cam" videos, but I can assume you've already polished the form up quite a bit. Keep doing good work, keep improving, keep entertaining, keep being awesome.

YES! WATCHED IT ALL THE WAY TO THE END!!! Top moments: Sokolov whimpering, Volgin giggling, Ocelot doing pretty much ANYTHING, the secret theater cutscenes, the ladder boss fight, the meme boss fight and Snake torturing the guards (also the "SAWA BETA BE WA!" or however that little sound bit is written down). On another note, will we ever get a best playthrough on youtube for MGS2 or 4?

I just beat this game for the first time ever. I had the HD collection for the 360 for over a year now but never really touched it (5 minutes into tank controls and I was pretty meh) but now I'm sick at home for a week and burned through the campaign in just two days. Holy shit what I have missed on! Now I started MGS 2 and finished the tanker mission but like... Holy shit this is amazing content. And I have never seen a game with a presentation this superb. I had my mouth open for 13 hours for how amazing this game is. And now this video is like the next level of that.
You definitely need to play MGS1 too. It has aged pretty well considering how long it's been.

My man, you are the true Metal Gear legend! This video was so good! There's so many parts of this that I love, that it would take me forever to list everything!
I'll just say one thing that I love the most; The Sorrow boss fight. Monsoon's theme fits so well for that fight, and I also never realized how similar both characters were altogether.
Their both associated with rain (at least their boss battles are), they both make you feel terrible for all the lives you've taken, they're both pretty mellow, they both went through a terrible experience, and Stains of Time is a fitting theme for both of them.
