This might be a lot of people’s least favourite song on the album, and it totally understand why, but I LOVE Real with Anna Wise. Mainly just because of how good I think Anna is throughout this whole album, it’s her song to really shine and I appreciate it so much. Love it.
"A Rat" = Slang meaning someone who's posing as a friend or colleague, but it's really a liar who's out to set you up. This is in reference to "Master Splinter's Daughter". Sherane is a Rat. My daughter said "oh! So it's like when we say someone is "Sus". " LOL
love the effort you put into this! love the narration, and the contrast between your initial thoughts and your understanding of the songs a week later! i would reccomend that you focus more on the music at first, and lyrics later. although you pretty much did that! subscribed :) also, have you heard to pimp a butterfly yet? it's kendricks strongest album imo, but it takes a WHILE to fully get into, because there's a lot of stuff going on in it edit: nvm, i see you talking about TBAP at the end of the video. glad you liked this one just as much!
Good luck mate. I personally don't like the narration (it reminds me of being in English at school where everything is over-analysed). I dont want to hear someone telling me what's going on in an album I've heard countless times, I want to see a genuine first reaction to the music - it makes me feel like I'm listening to it for the first time again too. Either way you put a lot of effort in so keep going!
fair! i do think TPAB is 100% deeper on a broader level, and raising issues about society and the system. but on a personal level for Kendrick, i feel like this has more pure, raw emotion yk
what's everyone's favourite song from the album?
Bdkmv love the beat
SamIdot easily
Changed my mind, it’s prolly m.A.A.d city or Poetic Justice or SAMIDOT
@@itstheoasismusic "Sing About Me" sad, but good 👍🏾
this is such a great first video man. keep going, keep reacting, great quality video man
i really appreciate that mate, and we are only just going getting started! glad to have you on board :)
It’s really hard to pick a favorite song, but I think my favorite is Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst or Good Kid.
I think you'd love the OutKast albums as well. You'd definitely pick up their influence on Kendrick's style. 🔥
This is Kendrick's debut album! The other two projects were mixtapes and independently released.
DEBUT? damn, that is crazy!
Section.80 is his debut album, gkmc is the first album that he made with his old label
when i purposely spread misinformation
Also he had more mixtapes than Overly Dedicated. I personally prefer Kendrick Lamar EP over OD

appreciate the kind words! there may be a TPAB analysis video in the works, so keep an eye out :]
you should react to To Pimp a Butterfly
TBAP and GKMC are the two Kendrick albums I've listened to! but don't worry, other Kendrick album reactions are coming in the future
Section .80 needs to be added to ur reactions. It’s a project right before good kid maad city. Some songs tie together
section.80 and mr morale are the next two reactions on the list :)

i respect that, the style isn't for everyone! :]
My favorite song is the art of peer pressure. I also disagree that this album is more deep than TPAB, TPAB is definitely a deeper album

@@itstheoasismusic have you listened to Mr Morale? I think that’s Kendrick’s deepest album. But you’re write GKMC is still deep and personal
@@mackz3559no I have not, still need to listen to mr morale + also damn! will do so on this channel soon
It would be cool if you listen to Tyler The Creator album Igor
Igor is one of my favourite albums! I may do an analysis of it in the future but it's an album that I'm very familiar with haha. great shout!
