My backlog didn’t get bigger this time. Is it because I finally managed to have some restraint? No. It’s because I already have most of the games on this list…
Yep me too… nothing here that I want to play that I haven’t bought already… At this point by t this is becoming a regular outcome but the benefit of watching these videos is that Mark and Glen’s positivity motivates me to want to play the games… a timely reminder of which of the hundreds of games in my backlog that I should get on and play instead of watching TH-cam videos about playing games!!! 🤦🏻♂️
Psychologist here hi lol. The control issues in Snake Pass is due to people's different interpretations of their own body and the concept of embodiment. Did any drivers, especially racers, (maybe exclusively?) here notice they preferred 3rd person driving perspective in games until they learned to drive fast? Ridge Racer is a particularly painful experience, especially to the real racers who were inspired by it 😂 Bumper cam is a necessary evil for the fastest times. Wipeout etc, not so much, as there's a world of difference with antigravity racing and FPS asphalt experiences.
Reminds me of my struggles with Guitar Hero. Having actually played guitar for more than 10k hours by that point, it was difficult keeping my left hand in one spot. Instinctively, I knew where my hand needed to go on the neck and I'd keep messing up due to muscle memory. My friends who'd never touched an instrument in their lives had a super easy time playing it. Eventually, I just gave up and pulled my guitar out to play along lol
As you said Dragon Quest 11 S doesn't bring anything specially new on the table. But what it does it does it so perfectly that to me it's a masterpiece. The Dragon Quest serie is really up there.
It does all the benchmark RPG things. And it does them the most RPG of any RPG I’ve ever played. I was legitimately charmed and nostalgic the entire way through, playing it felt like AAA quality comfort food.
@@maxspecsfor some reason I’m ready to play it again. It was just something about it that was just fun. There wasn’t anything complicated or some new battle system, or even crazy characters. But it was still a 10/10. Maybe I’m just picky but I’m ready to disregard my current huge backlog and blow a good 80 hours on a replay
I've decided that after this black Friday sale I'm going to have to update my will with my game collection since future generations will need to complete my backlog.
Lego City Undercover may seem like it's made solely for kids, but there's stuff for adults, like two character turn up called Studsky and Clutch, based or Starsky and Hutch. And there a hilarious Shawshank bit.
Some other games worth a go that are on sale, Portal: Companion Collection (75% Off), The Plucky Squire (25% off), Figment 2 (90% off), Horizon Chase 2 (50% off), Dark Souls (50% off), The Swords of Ditto (85% off) and Huntdown (80% off). Another Mad sale, good for your collection, bad for your backlog
I got Loophero for free on Epic a while back and probably wouldn't have tried it otherwise, but in hindsight, it's a great little game. I ended up sinking a good amount of time into it. Surprisingly engaging to play given its premise, cute writing, beautiful aesthetic. Hyper Light Drifter is a work of art with its striking aesthetic, its dedication to wordless writing and its big themes. And it plays super well too. Combat is fantastic! Here's an additional suggestion: The Messenger! Can be had for less than 4€ right now and it is SUCH a cool game. It has a time travel mechanic where the past is like an 8-bit game ala NES Ninja Gaiden and the future is like a 16-bit SNES metroidvania. It nails both styles and it plays super well. The music has tremendous drive!
My wife was like are you really buying another game. I said of course Mark and Glenn dropped a sales video. I think she’s mad at me. Oh well BACKLOG INTENSIFIES!!!!! 😂😂😂
Had hellofresh for about a year. Wasn't really that expensive and it was so nice not having to plan cooking or get groceries. Wonderful when the kids are young.
It's interesting seeing na get the sales this early normally we have to wait a week. Most likely I'll get that one piece oddesy game. It hadn't been this low yet and probably won't get lower.
Gotta say this Nintendo Switch Black Friday sale is the biggest I've ever seen before with even Nintendo's own games like Super Mario Maker 2, all Xenoblade games, Metroid Prime Remaster, Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Tears of the Kingdom, but I bought GTA the Trilogy because I've been interested about that for a long time, Rockstar fixed it finally and it's 30€ of 3 games the best deal I've ever seen and if Nier Automata is on sale I would love to get that too thank you for a great Black Week/Black Friday what's still coming, but on Nintendo it's already started: Happy Holiday 2024 everyone here we goo ho ho hoo! 😊❤
Dudes I feel it's worth mentioning that the latest Shiren is also on a 67% sale as it's really rad but premium price which may be a dealbreaker for an old-school roguelike. Amazing game!
Recommending all 4 Steamworld games, which are all at their lowest price ever, with each 80 - 90% off. Each one is fantastically fun and has different genres, with each game, on average, having an 8.5 Metacritic score.
I cannot begin to stress how clever and charming Snake Pass is! It was the very first indie game I bought for Switch and I still play through it at least once or twice a year. I was bummed that it never got DLC or a sequel. You guys didn't call it out in this video, but Wavetale is on sale for $2.99 on the US eShop. Is it worth it at that price? Has it been patched since your review?
I already own many of these titles but Loop Hero is absolutely addictive. Just one more run. Also Lego City Undercover is the best Lego game ever. Install this one to the internal drive as it resolves many crashes and other hiccups.
Doom Eternal runs surprisingly well on Switch but in my opinion it has a really big flaw that makes it hard to recommend. One of the core gameplay mechanics is that you also need to be moving and switching between weapons quickly but on Switch you use the same joystick for both movement and the weapon wheel. So when you're moving around and you bring up the weapon wheel, Doom Guy comes to a complete stop and kills your momentum. On easier difficulties it's not that being of an issue but on harder difficulties where you absolutely have to keep moving it's really a problem.
Good sale! Been waiting for a sale on Natsu-Mon: 20th Century Summer Kid for ages! Popped up as 50% last night in Aus. Thanks for all the hard work guys bringing us these updates
I got done playing NieR Automata on the Switch a month ago and it is such an amazing experience. I highly recommend it, and I still can't believe it is on the Switch.
Does anyone else feel like they're going into battle every black Friday sale? Picking and choosing the best options without overdoing it is quite the task?
I finally ordered a physical copy of Kingdom Come Deliverance for the BF sale 🎉 I’ve started DQ XI a few days ago, am enjoying it so far 👍

After buying some games for my kids' birthdays (yesterday was my daughter's 5th) and the expansion pass of XC2 for myself yesterday, I'm done buying games this year. Or that's what I say to myself😂
Great video with great games. Nier Automata is a must play, unbelievable experience. Already picked up Hyper Light Drifter and The Messenger yesterday, the first one is good so far 💪🏼
Lego City Undercover is nice, even for adults but not on Switch! The cars need analog acceleration and brakes. It feels very very weird to play it on the switch…
Snake Pass is so difficult control-wise, mostly because it does whatever it wants and puts the blame of bad snake AI on the player's lack of dexterity (that's how I imagine the 'think like a snake!' tagline was made, I suppose). My biggest disappointment at launch period.
Massive Neir fan! Got the physical and been playing for the last few months and just started "Route C". Glad to see it get some love. Most of my mates have never even heard of it 😅
I managed to pick up a few games on sale- The Wild at Heart, Bandle Tale, Boyfriend Dungeon, Islanders, Lacuna, Cloud Gardens, Growth… Oh. Oh dear. I mean, it’s not like I recently had to purchase a new microSD because of my backlog. Nope, definitely not me…
I already own most of these games, but I did pick up Gothic and so far, I'm having a lot of fun with it. Though I'm not finished with Drova yet, or my replay of STALKER, and then STALKER 2 releases elsewhere later today. I'm so dead.
hyper light drifter is one of my favorite gayor the past 10ish years. if you like top down action adventure games and you live in one of the sale regions, it's a must buy imo.
Looking forward to what you suggest on Sunday! Picked up Scott Pilgram last sale but just couldn't get into it as it felt like a less well done version of streets of rage.
Let's start by saying love the Jimbo reference, loved that cartoon! Just wondered why no sports or racing games were mentioned ie EAFC 50% off or Horizon Chase 2 on sale, you guys are awesome but the variety of games in the sale vids are getting less and less
Hyper light drifter is easily one of my favorite indies of all time. Please play it if you haven't before. On a seprate note, if you haven't tried xenoblade. I saw that both 1 and 2 are on sale, 3 may also be on sale idk. Just saying incase people wanna play them before X comes out in March.
Got hyperlight drifter and Loop hero. just to buy something 🤣 I imagine them walking past the other games in my Backlog.. "So... How long have you been here"? 😂
I think I’ve picked out 10 different games to buy and usually I’m good at whittling that down to 1 or 2 but I just can’t get rid of any of them. Can a sale be too good?
Dragon Quest XI is soooooo good! I wish i could buy it for my Switch too. I cant even play it again because my PS4 broke last year. Super recommend it. Get it now!
I got my "verbal diarrhoea" mentioned in an official written down clinic report. 😂 (Love your content btw, I get excited about every new video. Thank you for doing this.)

Dq xi s on sale…it’s time to progress my demo save.
The music in Nier is something special...its impossible to describe its effect on the player but it should be experienced

Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal bundle half price in the UK! £36.49 for all 3 games!!! No brainer snap up!
