  • Cliffe Knechtle has a good dialogue with students at Texas State University. Recorded in October 2014.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

Many people don't get that you can't follow mohammed and Jesus because they contradict each other big time, it's as simple as that, its clear that one is lying and based on the evidence of their lifestyles I believe Jesus is the Truth which means I must reject mohammed if I want to be intellectually honest many people fail to see this point.

but i would say both were right, jesus was right for that time and infact all the prophets were right for that time and people but now because prophet muhammad(peace and blessing be upon him) is the final messenger and quran is the final book from God,that wy now this is and will be the only truth, because bible and other books are corrupted and these books were for those times and people ,although we muslims believe that these books were also from God,but now God take responsibility of the preservation of the quran, and you can check for youeself that last 1400 years ,a single word is not been changed in the holy quran, there fore we can now just trust in one book which is quran but all other books are corrupted.

tatar boy They can't both be right because Jesus claimed to be God in flesh and He was killed and Rose from the dead, Muhammed says Jesus isn't God, the reason Jesus was sentenced to death by the Romans is for claiming to be God not for being a prophet. that doesn't make sense.
100 years ago the "corruption argument" worked but since then the amount of historical manuscripts for both old and New Testament is overwhelming it's just historically inaccurate to say different I'm only going on the facts. I suggest you research them for yourself there are 25,000 manuscripts for the New Testament all saying the exact same thing, over 5,000 in original Greek dating back to the 1st century.
The book of Galatians was written 10 years after Jesus death with all the eyewitness still alive and so corruption would of been noticed by eyewitness and the book would of been rejected by them, there are also many outside sources available to confirm this event. The Bible we have today is the exact same as those manuscripts no change at all you can see the original Greek manuscripts for yourself, the dead sea scrolls have proven no corruption of the Old Testament, it is the same as today's version.
If you believe that the Bible is the word of God then how could any man corrupt His work it's not possible. Miracles and prophecies happen around prophet's it is God's way to confirm to His people this person is speaking on His behalf because only such events are possible with God and can only be done under His authority not by a man!
If you look at all the Prophet's there was always some special event surrounding them making them Prophet's approved by God. Moses said if no such things happen around a man claiming to be a prophet they are to be rejected he actually said stone them. With Muhammad such things never happened so if I'm to listen to Moses I must reject Muhammed.

he never claim to be God that is your real corruption and thats wy God send final prophet and last book, you say that bible is not corrupted but i can show you thousand of scientific errors in bible ,for instance ,bible claim that this world is 6000 thousand years old, does God was not aware of the fact that this world is billions of years old?you can read for your self dr moris bakoi book quran science and bible, who was a french scientist, you mention that how can bible change if it is God words?because God did not take it preservation responsibility ,but you can search clearly in one verse of the quran that God take the quran responsibility of quran, and even a single word is not been changed, and it is in his original language arabic, while bible is not even in his real language, millions of muslims remember the whole quran word by word, does any christian remember the bible,wy yousuf estes accept islam, because he realize that christianity is a big fruad .no man can become a God ,a movement a God become a man ,he is no more God ,it is not somthing that by one get one or two free,God is not a man and not the son of a man.

    • @mykingofkings646
      @mykingofkings646 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

tatar boy As I already explained it's not my belief you are arguing against but actual confirmed historical facts which date back to the time of Jesus which say "He is God" and He and all the eyewitness died for that claim. Of course you don't have to believe what Jesus claimed that is you're choice but He definitely said those things even outside the Bible other documents confirm the same Jesus never once just a prophet but God.
You deny if you want but why deny something that is confirmed that is just lying to yourself or is ignorance of historical knowledge, you're opinion or belief doesn't change this no matter what way you word it. You must argue from facts if your position is true then you shouldn't have to deny confirmed historical information.
You think it is impossible for God to become a Man? the word impossible and God doesn't go together for with God nothing is impossible. God can become Man through a virgin birth through purity not created like man but by the eternal spirit. why would a prophet require a virgin birth? prophet's weren't sinless but Jesus was sinless only God is sinless!
He can step into His creation to live up to the standards which was expected from us but we all failed, He came to reveal Himself in the best way we could ever understand Him by becoming one of us a human. He lived the life sinless "spotless" in order to become sacrifice to save us from our eternal death which we actually all deserve.
The Bible doesn't say anything about the age of the universe so I'm not sure what you mean.. but maybe you are referring to the bloodlines of Adam and Eve which date back to 6,000 but who knows how long the universe was here before God created humans no human alive today was there.
The Bible doesn't say because it's irrelevant to the fact of why God came to us in the first place we need a saviour we all totally messed it up by His standard and have fallen short of the Glory of God and it's this standard by which He is going to judge us His law's but Jesus didn't mess it up because He is God.
He came through no sin, but by purity from a virgin. He lived a sinless life taught amazing ethics and lived up to those ethics. Jesus is exactly what I would expect if God became man His way was so much higher than any man before or after He lived His way is perfect it's impossible for men to live up to.
Knowing every word of any writing doesn't make it true. I could learn every word of Harry potter doesn't make it true it could be kept in its original language still doesn't prove it's true that reasoning is ridiculous. What about Muslims who are mentally challenged can they not be as close to God as someone who can read.
It's not knowing every word that gets you to God it's having a relationship with Him God said we can know Him the same way we can know and love our own father as close as a "father and son" relationship He is not a distant God but is close to us and full of love and forgiveness but you can only know Him through Jesus. Jesus represents God in the flesh.
He is for everyone for God so loved the "world" that He came to die for us while we were still sinners. This sacrifice is required so He could be just in forgiving us. For it has always been blood that covers sin that is why they used to sacrifice animals a pure animal spotless could get you back into the presence of God temporarily because all sin must be punished .He knows every language, every tribe, every Nation since He made all languages you think God can only understand one language?.

Why is Hell so horrible? I will try to explain to the best of my ability.
Hell is a place made by God where He and all the beautiful and amazing things we enjoy that come from His presence are removed, which means; There is no life or love in Hell, there is no light (hence the outter darkness), no water, there is no compassion, no mercy, no beauty, no rest, no air, no strength in your body, no relationships with other people, no pleasures of any kind. Why? Because all these things flow from the character of God, and if God creates a place that is completely void of His life giving energy... you end up with Hell.
Hell is horrible because God is not there.

Cliffe publicly denies prophecy, because it's 100% proof for Jesus being the Messiah and Cliffe foolishly think's the Bible is not proof of Truth, which is exactly what the Bible claim's itself to be... Cliffe's intellectualism in this regard has sadly turned into folly.

@@mygiftmatterscare to provide a link? If he does that would be foolish of him; however, i find it more likely that you are misconstruing Cliffe not claiming prophecy is evidence of truth to atheists as Cliffe claiming prophecy to be false. Using prophecy as evidence of the Bible’s truth is useless when talking to an atheist because their eyes and ears are not open to the truth. Cliffe can not open the hearts of these people to Jesus, and he knows this. What Cliffe does it try to get the truth seekers to earnestly read the gospels so that God can open their eyes and ears.
I do pray that you are not just spreading misinformation my friend.

If Muhammad was aware of the gospel there would have been some sort of response to the Christians in his times found in the Quran. The problem is that there isn't any meaningful response that can be found in the Quran, the Hadith or the Tafsir. My point is, Cliff has made an argument that since Muhammad was aware of the Gospel and then contradicted it, that makes him a false prophet. I agree with the conclusion, but I would point out that since Muhammad claims to be in line of the previous prophets (Abraham, Moses, Jesus etc) and even urges Jews & Christians to judge his prophet hood by their scriptures (see Quran 5:47), yet shows no familiarity with content of the Gospel, that makes him a false prophet.
