    Yes please do some stretching videos. I could really use some help there with shoulders, arms, back and hamstrings.

    These suggestions are great! We need to fit cardio and strengthening once we are on the road! Great video!

    Thanks Chris, we just ordered three bands and an exercise chart to get us started.
    Keep reppin' the Twins! They are looking pretty good this year.

    Can you do a video on the foam roller? I feel like I am really missing out on how I can help myself recover with mine (I am about to order me a new one).

    Are there any particular workout programs you recommend for RVers? My family and I will be spending nearly a full month on the road this summer. I’m looking for something other than running and hiking to help me stay in shape. Thanks!

    • @HealthyRVLiving
      @HealthyRVLiving  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! I 100% resistance training. The resistance bands are perfect for travel. Try to resistance train at a minimum of 3 x per week for 30-40 min max each session.

    Omg i only just found your channel. I plan to live in an rv full time, but I'm keen on body building (noncompetitive). Ive been searching for a channel just like yours! Any suggestions for muscle building tools in an rv?

    Tracking, something I don’t do. Do you have a guideline to share? I know it’s not good to repeat your exercises every day for the same muscle. I like a plan but don’t have one currently.

    • @HealthyRVLiving
      @HealthyRVLiving  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tracking is where you record your reps and weights/resistance on specific exercises during your workouts. It helps you pick up exactly where you left off. For example, if you know you did 8 reps using the heavy band last time, you should try to do at least 8 reps using the heavy band this time plus an extra rep for progression. Always be pushing yourself to improve. It sounds like your question is asking about program splits. Some common program splits include full-body, push/pull/legs, body part splits, and upper/lower. I like to use 7-week programs for my clients. This duration allows you to fully exhaust the program and give yourself time to progress. Then, change it up.

    Would love a more detailed video on using the bands. I have them but don’t get the most out of them that I could, I’m sure!

      We have a list of videos on deck that we will be pumping out. The next couple band videos will be intro and info, then after that we will start sharing some workouts. 🎊

    So why are loop bands superior to handle or other style bands- in your opinion?🙂

    • @HealthyRVLiving
      @HealthyRVLiving  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We will cover off on that in one of our upcoming videos. But the major reasons are loop offers improved variable resistance. Also, the lack of hardware and handles make the loop style more portable, lightweight, and simple to use 😁

    Hi Chris and Aaron! Thank you very much for this awesome overview of equipment! I like it! And....like you said, it is all pretty space conservation oriented.
    Seeing your foam roller gave me an idea. I have enduring back issues. But, for the last 3 or 4 months, some sciatica developed on my right hip. It seems that foam roller could be used to kneed the heck out of the area.
    Safe travels!

    • @HealthyRVLiving
      @HealthyRVLiving  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The foam roller works wonders for self-administered deep tissue massage. I have some nasty things going on in my hips and where my hamstring ties to my glute...working a foam roller has been helping a ton!

    What lb. of weights would you suggest for someone who has very limited space (may have room for up to 2 sets of weights) and is an aging beginner?

    • @HealthyRVLiving
      @HealthyRVLiving  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Kim! If space is the number one obstacle here I would actually recommend the resistance bands kit, or a set of adjustable dumbbells. If you are dead set on having fixed dumbbells, then perhaps a set of 5 pound + a set of 15 pound would be a good place to start. It's hard to say exactly since I don't know what your baseline strength is. And aging is such a relative term! I highly recommend looking into the resistance bands we have linked here :)

      @@HealthyRVLiving I second the bands! They are phenomenal especially when starting out.
