Excellent parks and new greenway under 77 off exit 23. Tons of excellent churches, of course the weather (not mentioned), lower taxes, and high paying jobs are just a few others. We've been here 10 years and love it! Traffic can be bad at times but welcome to a growing city.

Great information but the music is very distracting

We re-located here from the NE 4 yrs ago during the pandemic and were lucky to get our home at a VERY low price & interest rate compared to what's going on now in the real estate market. One of the things we like is that many of the residents are young/early middle aged professional transplants or retirees from other parts of the country which makes for a refreshing amount of diversity of thought among the populace which isn't always found in other towns.

Thank you for sharing your experience! It sounds like you found a wonderful community that aligns well with your values. Charlotte and its surrounding areas have indeed become a melting pot, with many newcomers bringing diverse perspectives and backgrounds. The combination of young professionals, retirees, and people from all over the country adds a unique, dynamic feel to the community-something that truly sets the area apart.

You have the Pros and Cons correct and yes, Lake Norman Charter is an excellent Charter School. My children went there and we were very happy.

I have lived in Birkdale for 21 years. It has changed for the worse. Over building of apartments has over burdened schools, fire and police. It has lost its small town feel. Its all about makin fast cash for builders. Are politicians taking brides to sign off on building permits. Traffic as you say has become rediculous. 90min wait for a table at restaurants. No fun.

Yah, I've herd mixed reviews on the growth in and around Birkdale

Why isnt Robbins Park ever mention in all the Huntersville or birkdale videos I ever see? I know it technically in Cornelius, but it's 30 seconds from birkdale. lol

We mention it in our Cornelius video :). We didn’t mention it in the Huntersville video because Robbins Park is in Cornelius not Huntersville 😊

odd question-- as a young professional Latino family is Huntersville a good area? We want to move from Long Island NY but im afraid of moving somewhere where Hispanics are not seen very often and I don't want to have no neighbor calling the cops on me lol

I like Huntersville! You have Birkdale and downtown Huntersville (which has Discovery place for kids - my family & I go there often!)
Feel free to give us a call if you have any particular questions. we would love to help in any way we can

Id say Charlotte and the area around is diverse. I’m latina and never had any issues with that here! Ive visited Huntersville a couple of times and although it seems to have mostly caucasian residents there’s still diversity there. I wouldn’t worry so much.

Overcrowded already. Traffic is terrible. Housing prices are ridiculous. Just don’t move here and make the problem worse. We are leaving ASAP as we don’t want to spend the rest of our lives sitting in traffic.
