Very cool! Look like they left the incandescent light socket mounted on the frame beam and still put fluorescent lighting inside. Weird an old coffee can is used to cover the mounting bolts for the cables.
The switch you found on the 3rd floor landing, from the pictures inside the shaft I noticed the armored cable on the switch box, and those cables on the lower limit roller switch also BX cable, which appear to wire into this circuit. Possibly an override or disconnect. It's a nice well preserved and maintained elevator, smooth starts/stops.
I was at this arboretum which used to be a schindler 330A which is usually NEVER modded But THEY MODDED IT BY CRAPPY DMG 330As Are usually ONE. OF THE BEST at not breaking down
What a treasure, just a treasure I am just simply amazed by vintage lifts and stuff like that. And you wont find another lift as gorgeous as this. Im thinking of having a Preheat fixture in one of my lifts one day.
How do you know where to stop this one? I mean from the outside you press up and down but how do the doors unlock the outside doors. (By meaning outside I mean the doors of every floor

Those are really cool!!! And the green carpeting on the walls of the passenger car makes me like it even more.
