The Generic companies are gonna swing by & completerly replace this elevator with their piece of crap hydraulic units which are so unreliable i'd bet this elevator has never gotten stuck in its 100 years of service well the generic hydraulics will get stuck once a week i guarantee

According to my dad, his old workplace has an old freight elevator like this where you have to hold a button down to make it go up or down, and it also has a loud AC motor.

It is a OTIS. Monarch simply put a new control panel on in the 50s and replaced the controller.

Very common. They were built for common sense. But with today's strict regulations you can't make these. I like them.
