Hi beautiful ppl! I just wanted to let you know that I just made this cut on my mum and it came out very pretty! I followed the sectioning properly but I had to make some changes cos my mum’s hair is fine and fringe was shorter to start with but I still managed and I’m writing this so if you’re in doubt, just do it cos it will work! Thank you Paul xxx
I have thin,, fine hair and one single ponytail is the same thickness as just one of the three. I have had hairstylists do this type of cut and it doesn’t look fuller. I stick with a blunt cut lob which makes it look thicker but I do wear textured fringe at eye level but a bit longer on the sides. It hides forehead wrinkles but also highlights my eyes. It’s still long enough that I can clip it up or wear a ponytail if I’m outside, cooking or getting my hair up when it’s hot.
I'm in the same boat my hair is also curly/wavy plus mine has the friz and to top it off my hair is fine but the cut looks great once it's done... Best part for me is the convenience of not making appointments I sometimes cannot keep.
@@lorijean4484 My hair is fine as well, and I was wondering how it would look on me. My stylist is so hesitant to give me layers like that because it's so thin.
Amazing instructional. ALL the information you need is here. Not long winded, but very detailed how and why. Thanks to this video, I am actually better at cutting hair in general - not just this particular cut. Thanks, man!
Wow Mr Watts! You’re correct much younger vibes but not to much! You’re a natural instructor! Would you suggest this cut for thin fine hair or would you hold off on the drastic layers. I’ve worn an invert straight boob off and on through out my adult life. Was trying to talk self into going to get it again at 56….. any suggestions would be much appreciated!
I absolutely love this cut on me thank you soooo much Paul for sharing the videos you do you truly are unique and I believe I can speak for all of us on here when I say we appreciate you and admire the energy you bring to the table... We sincerely love you ...stay true ❤️ love Alona
I have 3A curls, and shaggy cuts like this are fabulous. It looks like I spent hours styling it, when all i do is put curl cream after I shower. I do like to style just the face framing bits to do the charlies angels flippy thing but otherwise it's like a cheat code to looking fabulous every day.
I have fine thin hair and I feel like layers make it look like I have less hair. Do you have suggestions on what would be good for me? A blunt cut at home maybe?
Hi, I love the look from the front but personally I prefer the hair to be even also in the back. But thank you for showing us this great trick, work. Respectfully, Grace
I just found the haircut I have been waiting for (while growing out a long shag). Now, how do I get it without hurting my hairdresser's feelings? I can't just show her a video implying that she doesn't know how to cut hair. Please help me, Paul. What can I say to go in this fabulous direction?
Mariana !! I want to make a video that responds to one of your videos. I just went to say omgee do you hear what she's saying like every 15 seconds! It's like you're speaking the universal language. 💪❤️🔥🔑🌹
That looks cute and all on the mannequin, but I've been behind the chair for 36 years, and I have yet to see a client with a neck long enough for that hairstyle. Real people's shoulders would never let it hang like that.
Back in the 70s, we called that a shag haircut. Rod Stewart had a variation of that. What's up with the ties, though? What school did you go to that taught you THAT?!😮 Didn't they teach you how to properly section hair?
I love that haircut, but have about 50% (at best) of that hair! Anything cute and layer-y for girls over 65, with thin hair? Ah, hormones! :) Thank you.
Will the hairdresser at the salon know what I'm talking about if I ask for a BOTOX Bob? Last time I asked for a bob, just a regular old bob, they had no idea what I was talking about, said they had never heard it called that before.
I had my hair cut into a graduated bob on Monday. The hairdresser was telling me that the apprentices don't get taught how to cut a Bob anymore. She couldn't work out why. She said it could be due to a lack of hair models.
😮 seriously, you have this look on your face like your about to burst out laughing, like you're a trickster. And I just get this feeling that you're a random dude, making up a haircut and hoping people will try it. Because that haircut is ..... oof. Srry, but, oof. 😂
Thank you. I was just reading the comments to see if anybody else watching this was also a hairdresser🤣🤣🥴 My thought was… omg does he know how cringe the back is?
She looks really pleased with the results!
😂😂😂just spat my drink everywhere. 😂😂😂 thank you. 👍🏼
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
LMAO 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can this be done as a self hair cut?

Try Koncept thickening spray. It's the best thing I've ever done for my hair volume.
I have the same hair problem. I will try that spray. Thanks 😊
Absolutely fantastic!!! I use ponytails when I balayage my hair. Now I'm going to try ponytails to cut it! Thank you!
Did it! It's cute. My hair is curly/wavy so as long as I let the curl do what it likes, it looks great.

No triangle?
In no way meant as a dis but this just kinda looks like a Karen cut and a butterfly cut had a baby.
Paulii Boiii!!! I just did this cut on my wavy shoulder-length hair and it's perfection!! 😍 Thank you! xx
I just did this and it looks AMAZING😍🥰 thank you so much for your videos, so I'm able to do it on my own!
A really nice feminine hair cut, I could live with that' thanks for sharing'
This is exactly the haircut that I want ❤❤❤❤ Thank you Paul
I want to see what it looks like on curly hair! Bravo
Yessss!
My daughter's 15 and wanted to practice. I'm open and this looks gorgeous so I think I found one for her to try.😊
This reminds me of the cut girl had in like 2010. It's a good one. I love asymmetrical and long front
Amazing instructional. ALL the information you need is here. Not long winded, but very detailed how and why. Thanks to this video, I am actually better at cutting hair in general - not just this particular cut. Thanks, man!
Looks great! Between bob and shag. You explain process really well, too. Great job. I wonder if this would work with slightly curly hair.
While watching, I realized that I can’t cut from my back lol
You see your hair sections from the side. You put the hair between your fingers and pull the section to the side, that way you can cut from the front
I've been following these videos and I love my results. But you could do only two penny tails also
@@tjpmthat would be a wolf cut.
😆 I thought that too!
I use mirrors and it takes me a couple of days to get it right. Often I use an electric hair cutter against the comb to keep things straight.
I absolutely love this cut on me thank you soooo much Paul for sharing the videos you do you truly are unique and I believe I can speak for all of us on here when I say we appreciate you and admire the energy you bring to the table... We sincerely love you ...stay true ❤️ love Alona
I’m old enough to know that this is an early descendant of The Karen™️
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
Karens are just perrimenopausal women...whose testosterone is increasing
😂this reminds me of Kate Gosling in the 90s! My college age kids would call me a Karen if I came home with that gem 😂
@@LindseyStidhamMidwifery The Karen 2:0 where's the supervisor
I would like it longer! 👍☺️
Hi and thank you for this video. I love this style and way to cut the hair. Looks amazing!💖💯
That's interesting it's like a shag bob
sure is
Fab cut for us curly girls.
Works well on curly hair too. I just made sure to leave a little extra length. Thanks for the videos, very clear and concise! I love DIY hair :-)
Wow!! That turned out Great!!❤
I love being an experienced hairdresser following you very easily. ❤ Hair .
Beautiful 👌🏼👏🏼
Will it goes on curly hair?

Anyone catch the edit between the shake and when he put it on the post. I'm guessing he did some refining cutting between in that time!
I didn't see anything
I have long pixie which I try to grow out. This could be my next goal. Not so sleek and stiff.
What a great cut. I'd love to see it longer. I'm one of those oldies still clinging to my long hair... 🙄
Amazing tutorial.. Thank You 🙏🏼
love how simple you've made this!
Very cool! You might want to update the description, it says butterfly bob.
Wow! Love it! Will use on myself, thank you xxx
I have fine thin hair and I feel like layers make it look like I have less hair. Do you have suggestions on what would be good for me? A blunt cut at home maybe?
No gonna lie, this was for me a trust the process kinda HC
No one ever showes the sectioning! That's the hard part, especially a horizontal part.
It’s so cute!!!! I want this cut
Hi, I love the look from the front but personally I prefer the hair to be even also in the back. But thank you for showing us this great trick, work. Respectfully, Grace
How would this work on wavy hair? I think it would be simple enough for me to do on myself. 🥰
Such great explanations thank you 🎉
Fantastic . Love that 😍
Would this work on thick hair?
I wonder too! I am scared to create too much volume and get mushroom head. I have thick curly hair.
Great! Going to try on my sis!

i love classes like this
Could this work on curly hair?
Fantastic!
Thank you 😊
Such a nice haircut! ❤❤❤
Omg I love this! 😍
Wow! Very nice!
This hair style is really beautiful. Wish I could do it on myself. I seriously need a haircut, but don’t want to pay $100’s of dollars for one 😭
So pretty.
What kind of scissors ✂️did you use to do this cut?
THE "KAREN CUT" is back!! YUUUUUUUK! It looks like this was filmed in 1974.
That would make my hair curl up so much
I think I would like it a lil tiny bit longer with a shorter bang (fringe) is that doable? Like would a shorter bang blend with it ya think?
What’s the difference to a wolf cut, other than more ponytails?
I love it!!!❤
Doesn't work so well if you have thin and dry hair... What cut would you recommend then?
This hairstyle will instantly make you look like you’re in your mid 40’s. 😂
Amaaaazing!
We used to call this a shag cut back when I was young.
Gorgeous shape!
Well done mate! Looks like a ginger Cameron Diaz 😊
Love it
Very nice❤
Precioso😍
Love it!
Gorgeous
Paul, me hair is thinner than this doll's hair. Would it still work for me?
So nice!!!
Cool look❤👍🏻

Where are you based Paul?
Really nice ❤
Last time I saw that haircut it was early 80'slol
I have 3 times the hair of the mannequin my hair would look like a hat 😂
Looks like she’s waiting for approval to blink 😂
That’s cool
It looks like Eddie Van Halen hair but with a shorter back.
That looks cute and all on the mannequin, but I've been behind the chair for 36 years, and I have yet to see a client with a neck long enough for that hairstyle. Real people's shoulders would never let it hang like that.
Anyone in the Bay area doing this California
nice
It looks like “The Rachel” from Friends.

Oo ga lee
Did this cut for years free hand.
❤🎉lovely
Thank you so much
Wouldn’t look good on me but it’s cute.
Had this cut in the 70s. It was called a shag.
Wait did her eyes turn?
Well if you are a lazy hairstylist then yeah go for it
I love that haircut, but have about 50% (at best) of that hair! Anything cute and layer-y for girls over 65, with thin hair? Ah, hormones! :) Thank you.
What would I ask the hairdresser for this style. Is Botox Bob the name of the cut?

That is a long shag cut from the 70 - 80’s. And the back looked awful, I would have been mortified to send that cut out on the streets!
Thank you. I was just reading the comments to see if anybody else watching this was also a hairdresser🤣🤣🥴

Sorry but I can't do this in myself in the back
