Yeah great! The Petersens come to Cologne (near my Hometown), drinking Kölsch, giving a concert and nobody told me! 😭
And another story from germany for You: My family and I would visit your concert in our old homecity Cologne but it was sold out. My 70th birthday was on September 4th so we decided to come to London to see you on the Bush Hall. A very impressive concert, only for my 70th birthday? Yes, we had a lot of fun. An we came from the Lake Constance, deep in the south of germany . . . Thank you for the music and this wonderfull concert ans see you the next time in Germany!

I have missed it!1!!11 Oh, nooooo!! Living only 30 minutes away from Cologne. I had been checking for tour dates in January this year and even concidered going to the UK for a concert. And now I've missed it right at my door step. And the location of the concert is soooo great. The sound is amazing. What a missed opportunity, what a pity. I guess the audience had the time of their life that day. I hope that there will be a next time. I am very happy that you have enjoyed your stay and had a warm welcome.

My memory of Cologne (Koln) and the boat trip from maybe 15 years ago was that the beer on the boat was less expensive than water or soda. It is amazing at how well American musicians do in Europe - they truly recognize and appreciate talent like yours.
That's because in Germany beer is considered food
The best vacation we ever took was a Rhine River cruise trip, Switzerland to Amsterdam

It is always interesting to see young people react to seeing old things for the first time. I recall seeing all those around 50 years ago and I am still fascinated. I hope the relics are never lost.

This is a very charming report from your trip to Europe. Just plan to do it in slow motion next time, and you will enjoy it even more. Slow motion means having a concert only on every third day or twice a week. See you there next time 😍

I was expecting a triumphal tour in Europe, but this time you outdid yourself! Only foreign groups of proven popularity and undisputed talent are hosted in the programs of the major national TV channels in Europe. And from what I could see, the interviews and musical performances were absolutely perfect!
Finally, the long standing ovation at the end of Bohemian Rhapsody, so well performed and in that fairytale context, is something that comes spontaneously, that you can't stop and you fully deserved. I think that those who were there in Cologne will not easily forget having experienced those moments. ❤

Wow! That applause was amazing. I cannot imagine what it felt like to be in that place as it boomed against the walls. And seeing how humbly you accepted it makes me all the more certain it was well-deserved.
I have heard about autobahn adventures and other notable places in Germany from my German teacher (who is a German immigrant), but you guys were really there! And those views with that architecture is incredible. It is amazing what talents God puts in the hands of humans to be able to make such works of art. Just curious… Did y’all have to wear slippers when you were inside the Cologne Cathedral? I have heard that they require it to protect the floor mosaics and I wondered if that was the case or not. 🤔😁
And how many Americans get to say they have been broadcast on German television? Matt, I hope it was worth the makeup, ha ha! 🤣

I follow a Germany cooking blog the food is different. The city I live by was a German twn but never been to Octoberfest or a German restaurant but many in the area ! Another great Blog Julianne.🇨🇦
