Yo , this exactly the same as my set up bro , except I was putting my midi through my sound card (didgidesign 003) my midi notes were sustaining ( wouldn’t end ) when I pressed the mpc pads , I just ordered a midi - usb cable , hopefully this will solve the problem, thanks for the video

I’m a novice/beginner producer and I’m trying to figure out how to use the internal samples on the mpc2500 kits/ library that I already have built and get them to record into a beat I already have started in ableton live lite 11. I wanted a more live drum lace with the triggering of the pads rather than the weak sample drum rack that ableton already has. So far all the videos showcase just using this cord/ wire as a controller for the vst’s…as stated above, I already have samples from drums I wanna use and record. Other videos show using analog cables to inputs on a digital interface. I bought the one you have thinking this would work…is this possible using this cord? Or do I have to go the analog route to accomplish this? In elaboration, I can see that ableton is recognizing the trigger input from the pad…it’s just not distributing the sound from the mpc. I’ve messed with quite a few options in preferences adjusting. I dunno, kinda complex. I’d prefer to keep the signal digital from the usb like the cord we have. What you think?

Do you have MPC Beats software you could show how to use as controller with that ?
