Wow, it works. What I was doing wrong was not putting it in compatible mode. I had it set to PC mode. Forza 5 is the only Forza at the moment that supports my Samsung 49 inch Ultrawide monitor .
Glad it got you fixed up! I also use a 49. I believe the new forza also supports it as well. Been a bit since i played it tbough so I may be mistaken. Assetto Corsa amd Automobilsta 2 are also great options that support it as well!
For anyone wondering: if you have no options in layout and have this symbol on mapping(🚫) it’s likely due to being in PC mode. I had to change to the third one. Not sure what it’s called but it’s the green light not blue(PlayStation) or red(pc)

I had to plug it into the computer before starting Steam or the game in order for it to be recognized. I also had to do a custom wheel profile. My wheel supported D-Input and X-Input, and under the standard settings (I forget if it was D or X), it thought the wheel was a controller, so I had to switch to the other version in order to build a customer wheel profile.
I’ve had my csl dd working with fh5 for 6months. Just updated to driver 455 (from 454) and now forza doesn’t even recognise my wheel in comp mode. Also noticed ACC only recognises pc mode now but before it was using comp mode. Fanatec control panel shows both pc mode and comp mode working. Also have the same firmware as you. I’m lost and it’s frustrating.

Hello, My Wheel does work on FH 5 but the problem is ffb aint working properly, if I drive slowly it just shakes right/left if i speed up and take deep curve it will put my wheels back but very slowly, i tried maximizing my ffb still same problem, Also tried v440 and v451 didnt make any diff
I still dont get it why the developers dont add a proper csl dd support. I played FH5 now for like 200 hours. And after every update it messes with my wheel settinhs. It sucks
Quick and to the point. This was a simple google search. Made it a point to come make this commment to show some love. It deserved it. Hoping to find some answers. And wha la And right away you got me where I could use my fanatec ddpro and pedals for the game. Like you said it isn’t the most realistic game, but it is a fun game to whip a car around for the sake of it. Acc and iRacing is to serious for its own good and just need a little reprieve. When you are in controls where it shows the presets at the top. Keep hitting the right arrow key on keyboard until it says custom set. Then it will give you access to a few custom profiles. You can only bind a "non recognized wheelbase" inside a custom set and for whatever reason only the arrow keys will slide the menu over into a custom set options. I think it's a bug. Sounds like that might be your issue.
@@SewerShark are you using a shifter or handbrake from a different manufacturer? If so unplug those before binding the steering wheel. Save the profile and the plug the others back in.
My CSL DD is set to 1080, and my setting in game are also set to 1080 and yet my wheel won’t even do a full turn before hitting the soft lock. What do I do?

THANK YOU!!!! It now recognizes the wheel when I put mine in XBOX (Yellow) mode. Going to see how well it works now. Great recommendation.

Dont forget to get to the wheel settings you Have to use the Arrow keys on your keyboard

Tried connecting to Xbox Series X out of box and no Force Feedback. So I need to update my firmware for forcefeedback to work on Xbox?
Your power button on the base is also to switch modes between PC / CSW and Xbox

My CSL DD is still not seen ingame at all. Sektion with presets is blank. Im on PC. Everything updated. Only game i have problems with

That's how useless they are in Moco soft, the steering wheel won't turn more than you see. It has no logic whatsoever.
I’m at the same point. Logitech wheels have soft ware to fix. But I think us on fanatec are screwed
