For those who are wondering how to remove the black stroke for all the texts, I found a trick : 1 - Clic on one text, remove the stroke, change the size, etc (in the essential graphics panel). 2 - Create a style. Your style will appear as a file in the project panel. 3 - Select all your texts in the timeline, then drag and drop the style file ! Voilà ! Unfortunately the style doesn't seem to replace the position of the text. So if you have to change the position of all the texts : 1 - Clic on one text, go to effects control panel, adjust the position in Vector Motion. 2 - Clic on the Vector Motion menu name, then ctrl+c 3 - Select all your texts in the timeline, and then ctrl+v All the texts should have the same position setting ! I hope this is clear... English is not my main language 😅

Wanted to be able to easily search by words or topics that the subject mentioned. Now with this transcribe feature it will save a TON of time and thoroughly index all the dialogue. Amazing. The file from the website imports into Premiere Pro as a nested sequence and has a stroke of like 50 around every word. How did you get it to import the way you did with separate text blocks?
I haven't tried the conversion method yet I haven't needed working on pretty small videos at the moment but I'm sure you can find other conversion websites or programs
Really great guide! Might be worth noting, that the stroke was still active for me, so the black background of the text didn't get removed when changing the font. Just highlight all and remove the stroke, sorted!

I have correctly converted the .srt to an .fcpxml, however, when I try to drag it into my project, it gives me an error message saying that the file format is not supported. was there a change to premiere pro to make this no longer work? or am I doing something wrong?

Greetings, I'm having a problem where, following the convert from srt->xml method, after copying the text over to the main sequence, when I scale the text in effect controls -> vector motion it scales really weirdly, it's like the text is coming "towards" the screen. I don't know how to explain it correctly but yeah, my objective is to just scale it normally, anyone know any fix? Thanks.

You can just open the sequence and extract the text manually. Then place it on your maintimeline

Adobe needs to allow effects to go into subtitles or a convert button. It's ridiculous that we have to go through all these steps to make it work.
