I've looked for videos showing how each word comes in one at a time, thinking it was some sort of effect on premiere. But nope, looks like it's about an hour extra of work 😅. But worth it. Thanks for showing that!
You're welcome! Hopefully sooner than later there will be a quicker automated way! I tend to only use captions on short segments of my videos anyway, so it's no so bad for me...
This is exactly what I was hoping to learn. Everyone wants to do text editing quickly, but I wanted the option to customize. Which is exactly what you took the time to show here. So, thank you!
No worries! It's funny though, I still get flack from people in the comments for not giving an "easier way." It's not my fault Premiere doesn't have these functions built in yet, and yes...plenty of other videos just say to plugins/etc. Glad you got what you needed. Thanks for watching!
Great video. Appreciate that we got right to the goods, and no preamble. Great choice to say that the basics were in prior video, and this was advanced. But all said and done clear and simple
Any ideas why the 'convert captions to graphics' options is greyed out for me? Everything else is the same as your example. Fallen at the first hurdle 😅 Thank you! Great video.
Excellent video! I just found your channel! Excellent content! And I really appreciate you not having distracting background music underneath your instructional video, it makes learning som much easier and enjoyable!
This video is totally covered what I actually tried to search for improving my editing skills and how to customize each word after another. Thank you so much Shawn :)
Long time ago I see this video and I know the video was a good one but today when I need to watch I couldn't find you in the search results, it is there but the thumbnail. I was scrolling up and down searching with different keywords but didn't see. But when randomly playing the videos I got you lol
Great video! Change color of one word at a time, for example, looks SUPER tedious. Capcut has auto-captions and automatically fades in and out each word without any work at all. Does Premiere Pro have an auto animation feature where it automatically fades in or changes the color of each word as you say it? (Without you having to manually slice your own captions and listen for each word?)
Hello Sir, many many thanks for showing us these ways to animate our captions ❣ I just have one question sir, can we do the karoke style caption with any plugin or tool? i mean its very tedious process to cut all words and then placing them as per text position... please see if we can figure out something for this sir...🙏🙏
There isn't anything built in to Premiere Pro like that yet (not that I'm aware of). Premiere Gal did a video recently about a Plugin that does it though I think. Maybe check her video out. I'm guessing that Premiere will add some sort of AI to do it soon, as much more basic apps like Capcut can already do it no problem. We'll have to wait and see when/if they do it...?
Great video, I will be using this to practice forsure. One tip that you might already be aware of, You don't need to listen for the dialogue anymore to make cuts. You can transcribe it in the beta version of premiere pro and jump to each word in your captions in the Text window. Hope that helps mate, cheers!
Wow Shawn, I love you straightforward, clear, and concise explanations, and also how you strategically progressed the different ways to build one method on the skill learned from the previous method. This is QUALITY education and excited to watch more of your content!
Thank you very much sir, this is exactly what i was looking for to learn, after hours of searching I found you ❤, all the others just showing fancy paid plug-in no one teaching how to do it in the software like you, thank you very much sir much appreciated
What kind of hardware do you use? I can´t even smoothly playback a single piece of video in my timeline - and that´s with proxy on, 32GB RAM and a Nvidia 3070 (I know, not the best stuff...but i should be able to at least preview a clip...or add a lower third without waiting a minute?!). How do you edit so smoothly...I can´t even place a lower third from a YT Pack and move it smoothly with the XYZ sliders...wth 😞
something wrong with your computer settings? I've got a janky refurbished Dell laptop with only 16gb of ram and this Adobe software runs lightning fast.
@@zaidshaikh750_ This video explains what you need to do to get 1 word at a time (around 3:25 starts to answer your question): th-cam.com/video/gRrqFMCvmRU/w-d-xo.html
Like I said before, watch this video: th-cam.com/video/gRrqFMCvmRU/w-d-xo.html it explains how to create captions that are 1 word instead of a sentence, and how to edit captions to be 1 word on the screen at a time as well. Then apply the pop in effect after.
Great job Shawn. It takes a minute to do all this. Hopefully Premiere gets with the times so we dont have to use third party apps to get this done faster! Great tutorial. You have a crisp voice too sir.
Ha! Thanks. There's a lot of people commenting to just use a plugin, and I guess that's where things are going (where everything will just be done for you) but I also like knowing how to do things manually myself. Thanks for watching!
Nice tutorial. I’m a moderator for the SubMachine plugin that PremiereGal and myself use. I’ll be sharing this on Premiere discord as the long way to do subtitles and captions. Keep up the good work
This is how I've been doing it so far. I was hoping for an easier method like in CapCut. I am thinking about editing the video and adding captions in CapCut. I think that would be faster and easier right?
If you have a subtitle sentence in .srt divided into words and each word has a beginning and end time in srt, then how to put a karaoke effect in sentence on each word if the time is already there . Something like this is done by the submachine plugin from Adobe, but it is not free Can be other ways???!!!!
Thanks Shawn this is so timely. I'm working on a series of videos where I want to use different kinds of captions just as you are showing. Thank you very much for saving me thinking of the best way to do this myself.
hey nice video, these effects are very good, to learn as a beginner , please tell us how we can make these effects as a preset ( template) and save to use them in future projects
I wonder if you could have set both the minimum characters and minimum time to their lowest values instead of manually breaking them into separate captions?
I explain how to do that and what it looks like in the video I mention at the start. The difference in this video is that all these examples have multiple words on the screen at all times. Doing it the way you suggested is also good, but then there's only one word on the screen at a time.
