    Shoutout to the 49ers squad of the early 1970's. They had a lot of good players, but kept getting stonewalled by Dallas three straight times in the playoffs. The 1972 game in particular hurt immensely. A lot of the fans know bring up Kyle Williams' screw up in the 2011 NFC title game, but there are still OG fans that probably cringe when they hear the name Preston Riley.

      @@cbod14 is that the teason why dallas and san fran bid for players yearly. Not just players but just two i will cite. Both charles haley and deion sanders won back to back titles with two different teams. Guess which two? Niners did not need sanders, debartlo paid him not to go to dallas. Niners needed haley, jones bought him to help dallas running game. They are the reason. Ill give you the walker trade, epic move. But debartlo still out spent dallas and the nfl. In those days was plan b free agency. Look it up. Nothing like todays game.

    • @cbod14
      @cbod14 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@paulcoover7057 Charles Haley was acquired by trade. Really if you’re going to speak know what you’re talking about. The NFL instituted a salary cap because the players won unrestricted free agency in court in the fall of 1992. If anything the cap hurt Dallas as they lost several players from their 92 & 93 Super Bowl teams. In fact the main reason Emmitt Smith sat out the first two games of the 93 season was due to the new salary structure for running backs that the cap created. Try again
