My favorite before that was Pink Floyd. I connected with In Flames so much so, they became my favorite band. My first concert was in 2011. I was suspended from work for going. I've gone to many of their concerts since then, I even paid for a VIP package and got to meet them. I have a picture of me meeting them displayed as a large oil painting from Costco directly behind me in my Den. I love this band, In Flames We Trust!

I’ve been into In Flames since Whoracle. Clay man was the last album I truly loved. The release of these songs brings a massive smile to my face and relief to my heart. I’ve not known a band that went away from their roots, producing many albums/songs that experiment with other ideas under the guise of ‘creativity’ and ‘getting older’ only to return with such conviction. Thank you! If Chris Broderick’s inclusion in the band has anything to do with the return of their sound, I say thank you again!
This song is the Wish version of ATG’s Blinded by Fear. I have to wonder how many fans of this IF song posting here even know that SotS exists and is a damn masterpiece.

I first discovered this band when I was 16, I'm 34 now. I first heard them on Direct TV on a metal tv channel, song was Cloud connected. I don't smoke pot but that song really connected with me.
Same here, from 1989 and In Flames fan since 2006-ish
Literal chills down my back hearing this, love to see it!! IN FLAMES WE TRUST \m/
Old school in Flames, but modern. Bravo!!! 🤙🏿🙏🏿
Probably the existence of Halo Effect got them thinking: "Hmm, maybe we should also play actual metal again?" :)
Don't you just love some healthy competition ? In Flames stepping up their game to be on par with The Halo Effect and all In Flames" ex members. Good stuff. I hope they both thrive with great music like this.
Word 👊🏻
Anders has got a great voice and uses it really well. In flames is probably my favorite band.
Bingo!! Like it....but first 3 from Halo Effect were top notch.
@@evanbush2580 There's a fourth song out.
Yesss
what a fucking great song! Fell in love with this band again after we have departed many CDs ago. It sounds like Jesper is in the band again. Awesome 😂
At the gates blinded by fear is what springs to mind
just copy/paste
Quite sad indeed.
Because it's the only song of them you know😂
@@chrisdee216Exactly, that pretty much describes 90% of At The Gates "fans" 😂
In Flames are "tuning the engines" for an album that we hope will be a smasher!!!!!
If the whole album is like this and it isn't just a token "yeah whatever shut up" song, I'll be pretty happy. It's not a full blown return to form but I can still vibe with it.
Hopefully there will be lots of melodic stuff too, like Playground and A Sense of Purpose
Suppose it could be great if there will be mix of Clayman's energy, Come Clarity sounded and some experiements from Siren Charms
Lyle's only here cuz In Flames does the funee scream
That verse riff is very Slaughter of the Soul sounding. I dig it.
The best song they've dropped for nearly 20 years. This is increduble
this is absolutely not even remotly true bro
2002 - reroute to remain, 2004 - Soundtrack to your escape, 2006 - Come Clarity. Around 15 years would fit it better I'd say.
Yeah I was just saying to a buddy that this was a sound closer to Reroute or Come Clarity era In Flames and I'm loving it. Hopefully my excitement is not premature lol
@@Evidancer exactly
To you, maybe
wow this is beautiful , a full album like this and ill be in tears
Best In Flames in over 10 years.
16 years lol
20 years
Waaa
20 :)
Digging the new direction, glad to see the boys still have that much energy in them ! Really liked Anders's come back to early-2000s growls too
Thanks In Flames for bringing back the OG sound!!!
Fuuuuuuuuuuck, finally they came back with their old roots, which in my opinion would never have changed, but I'm glad they're back to that strong band I've always loved. I never gave up on you guys, my hope never died. Let the new album come out soon, because I feel like it's going to be too fucked up. I Love U guys... 😍🥰🖤🤘🤘🤟🤟
A cliche but this really is like a mix between old and modern In Flames sound. I prefer the old but this is a step in the right direction.
A band can't play or stay exactly the same it kills passion and progression
I totally agree! A few steps backwards and that is in my opinion the correct direction for In Flames!
good take thanks in a sea of trash comments that barely even listen to metal they all sound like people that like 5 bands and say they are a metalhead.
Remember I the mask? The first 2 songs revealed gave the impression that if goes back to their roots
And the album was typically if trash
In flames never left, they are one of the biggest bands on the planet sorry guys
Wow!!! This is the In Flames I have been waiting to hear for several years; now I recognise you again! I've been following you since The Jester Race and always loved your early albums; this song takes me back to that era; well done! To celebrate, I'm putting on my Colony T-shirt :)
I wish I had a Colony tee shirt...I used to have a lot of In Flames shirts, including a signed Come Clarity....but I have lost weight and all my old band shirts do not fit me anymore. Now it is just a matter of I just do not like buying clothes anymore
@@meatshield72 Oversize is cool! wear it with pride to remind you what you accomplished!!
I unliked this comment just so I could like it twice
You guys have just gone back 20 years and I couldn't love this more ❤️ I would call this a comeback! Please stick to this style. WHAT A BANGER!!!!
Cudowny beat!!!!
This is the most frantic, fastest and heaviest song they have released in over 20 years! This was so unexpected
Come Clarity still has heavier, better material. But yes this is an improvement over anything since A Sense of Purpose.
that riff is driving me crazy.... fire
This is the best InFlames I've heard in 15 years. If they go this direction..... massive W
This is the sound Ive missed, heavy vocal, with a smooth transition to melody.
Yes dude! Been missing this sounds from you guys, some real come clarity vibes with this one!
Crazy to think I met In Flames and Soilwork through WoW back in 2005. Still today my guys are releasing their singles together back to back.
What a journey it's been. Much love for your work. Thank you for existing.
That's kinda funny a WoW ad showed up before the video lmao
@@jamisonusmc88 Seems TH-cam knows its classics 😎👌
Old School PvP only!
Im so glad also, that we get a song like this, feeling old vibes in 2022. Hope In Flames will see, that we also need songs like this in future ❤🔥
Thank you In Flames for sounding like your previous glories of them good ol' days. Keep it up with that classic sound!!!! I'm a fan again.
This is such a good song IN FLAMES WE TRUST
When an album's out and the whole thing has a sound like this then I'll be back on board. I've never had a problem with a band that's put in their time do something different or try something new. I'd put In Flames in that category. But I didn't care for their recent offerings and honestly just tuned them out, happy to have a few fantastic albums. Of course I'd love to see them return to form but I'm not gonna get excited yet.
You guys absolutely outdid yourselves with this one. The classic Gothenburg sound is powerful!
Always liked them, seen them live a few times and that really opened my eyes to them, they put on one hell of a show.
Can we stop pretending like these guys haven't been putting out bangers non stop for the past 20 years? Thanks.
ahem. 30 years because lunar strain is fire :) but yes, all in flames is good, especially the last decade
because like opeth, the 90s were the best era :)
🙌🙌🙌
The Hallo Effect.

This is a sharp reversal and an otherwise welcome comeback to their former sound. Keep this up!
The production of this track is very well sorted!
That first riff is evil 😈
As if Beezlebub himself wrote it
Let's have a toast with WAP juice.
Stolen from Blinded By Fear
@@b-rj1171 Not even close
@@BigMuff75 😂😂😂 Are you serious?? Even the riff after it is the same! Everybody is hearing it and you are saying ‘not even close’.. 🤣
You are probably new to the Metal. Welcome boy, you need to learn a lot! Don’t forget to have fun on your journey! 🤘🏻😎
We need more like this!!! 🙌🙌 Praise the metal gods 🤘🤘
Man i missed this energy and these riffs from In Flames..this kind of sound from In Flames was so important to me i kinda got teary-eyes hearing it again
Some bands can do it well in multiple styles. In Flames can't. But when these guys do their signature melodeath style, they're almost untouchable. Welcome back, In Flames, I missed this shit so much!
They can do it very well in multiple styles, you just don't want them to.
If the rest of the album sounds like this I'm all in. Some tasty riffage 🦆
It's like a miracle, never thought it will happen again! Good stuff, reminds me of the older albums! ❤️
All bands eventually go back to there old sound, if only in parts so I'm not totally surprised, if anything I'm surprised it had taken them this long to do it
Honestly haven't really felt the sound from the last years, still blasted it from time to time tho.
Really really happy to see them getting back to their signature sound, that chorus fucking slaps.
This part at 0:16 to 0:55 reminds me of Blinded by Fear of At the Gates. Arrangement is similar and riffs are kinda.
Funny I thought same exact thing
Yep.
@Scott Krasman all song is blinded by fear variation
This song is the Wish version of ATG’s Blinded by Fear. I have to wonder how many fans of this IF song posting here even know that SotS exists and is a damn masterpiece.
Coming back to in flames after a long time and I must say: wow. Please keep going like this
This takes me back to when a sense of purpose was one of the first cds I ever bought, and was one of the first pieces of metal music I ever really listened to........
Its been awhile.......I'm glad they might finally be back.
Something about this band I just noticed, like if I like a song of theirs, it hits me in a different way than like any other band, probably just because of the nostalgia.
I will say though, I was kinda expecting more at the end, I felt a solo or breakdown coming but.......
