@DarkMonke so much for the ps5 and xbox fans hating on switch saying the switch is weak all because of sonic colors ultimate right? I mean serious this system is stronger than the wii u, which ran xenoblade chronicles x, the biggest open world game ever made, and they think its weak? maybe this is the wake up call they needed.

@@MistaWind have you even played it? Or looked at comparison videos? If not you can't say that. Its so big you can fit fall out 4's map inside it 4 times and witcher 3's inside it 3 times. Heres another example for you, skyrim's is 37 km big, xenoblade x's is 400 km big. It takes 32 minutes to run across all of xenoblade x, and thats not counting the areas in the sky. And yet you all call the wii u and switch weak lmao. edit: okay so its not the biggest, but its still the 9th biggest as of 2019 with 154 miles of map. and unlike alot of the games listed its a seamless open world with zero loadtimes. on the wii u. so much for wii u and switch being weak.

My first anime before even knowing what anime was is Sonic which I played like since I was 4 or so. Then I bought Naruto games later on with no knowledge. And then when I read some of the manga Fullmetal Alchemist and finally now I started by watching Jojo and am into anime.

Same...I was watching it as a kid not knowing that it was considered animé I just thought they were regular cartoons 😅 haha...I love dbz tho and anything else I watched on toonami growing up

i love that you’ve mentioned how smooth the transition between exploring and battling an enemy is! it switches up so quickly that has been my only concern since the legacy of goku on gameboy advance was flawless when it comes to this mechanic and since this is like a big console version of legacy of goku series I really wished that the leveling up by smashing enemies would be done very smooth now I’m relieved
With the trifecta of Xenoverse, Fighterz and now Kakarot, Switch has turned into a pretty solid little DBZ machine.
The open world looks like it's going to scratch that Superman 64 itch

I may be one of a hundred people ever who actually went through and did all the ring levels as a kid / teen (it took that long and that many restarts). They were bad... so, so bad.

My biggest pet peeve with this game is that it shouldve had more buus fury liker elements. Like being able to transform on the fly whenever you want while freeroaming, and changing to a bunch of different characters when you want. The games still awesome, but its those little things that wouldve made the game perfect.
Same! I been looking for a dragonball game like that for yearsss. Buu's Fury was so much fun and didn't feel overwhelmingly grindy.

Buu‘s Fury and Legacy of Goku 2 were awesome. Would love a remake of both games for the Switch

I enjoyed this game when it came out on Xbox one and had a real blast with it. Lol I had to struggle at one time but when you learn that food is the leveling system in this game and that you can farm it =) it all becomes much easier.
I just snagged this on sale during Black Friday and have been enjoying my time with it. Honestly, I don't know why I didn't buy it sooner. It tickles my nostalgia as a longtime fan of the series. It's been ages since I've watched the Z story so it's been really cool getting to re-experience those big moments. I got that same feeling of goosebumps during the cinematic between Goku and Vegeta. The developers did an awesome job with it/them.

I'm really surprised that Horde battles don't lag at all
It may sound strange but I love this game in a weird nostalgia somewhat because this game reminds me a lot of playing Legacy of Goku 2 on my GameBoy advance. This is the first DBZ game I was genuinely excited for and itching to play in many years.
Legacy of Goku on game boy is awesome!!! Especially the second one! I’ve been looking for a DBZ game that resembles that.
Future trunks is my boy. I just want a hack and slash game with him going though time beating up time villians who want to change the time line for the worse
xenoverse is there for you
Ye, in Xenoverse 1 he's your partner. You fight with him multiple times and such. He's in Xenoverse 2 but you're a different person there so he's not your partner. But the game's basic premise is going through time and rectifying changes in the timeline.
The Trunks DLC for this game has a lot of sick extra trunks story after his dbz ending
I absolutely love CC2's work so I really really want to get this game on Switch.

The last dragon ball games I played on a portable system were the Legacy of Goku games on the GB Advance. This is a bit of a step up. I feel like since I played those games I owe it to myself to play this on the Switch.

I remember watching the Freeza saga on toonami then going to a local comic shop where I was able to purchase fan subtitled Japanese VHS tapes of the buu saga and having no idea what the hell was going on 😅😅😅
I played this on PS4 at lunch, and loved it so much. It is such fun just to fly around and collect balls. But one thing that may make people dislike this game, is how easy it is. It is one of the easiet games I ever played. This is no issue for me, but some players like to have a challange, which Kakarot doesn't have.
I've been enjoying it on the Switch, I don't regret buying it nor have many complaints. Only issue I found so far was when I was doing some image training as Gohan after beating Vegeta, all I was hearing was the characters grunting and yelling along with the background music... all the sound effects were gone for some reason.
Also one of the paid DLC was "music from the anime"... but the base game already HAS music from the anime...??
If it was music from the old English dubs, like the classic Rock the Dragon/Next Dimension dub era by Shuki Levy and the Bruce Faulconer-era music, I would've jumped on that purchase in a heartbeat.
They done a great job of running it on Switch!

Saw a little bit of framerate dips especially at the start of battles but this looks really good overall! Very reminiscent of the dragonball games my friends used to play on the PS2 lol

Looks like a fun game. I do want to mention the brilliant voice acting from the Funimation cast. Sean did a fine job with Goku here.
It's crazy that dragon Ball z games went from just being able to play legacy Goku and stuff like portable now we're able to play full console games like kakarot on the go

Still haven't played this, but I've always been disappointed that this game didn't start from when Goku was a kid. I feel the OG Dragonball is way too ignored. I love DBZ, but I can only stand games going through the same storylines so many times. Gameplay looks fun though, I never took a look at it that much before, so maybe I'll pick this up down the line.
I agree. But at least there are some refrences to og DB in this game. For example, the desert when Yamcha is intruduced is a location in the game. And android 8 is also in the game as side quest character.

Do you have to play the game with one character throughout...or do you get to level up multiple characters through the game. Similar to having a team in other RPG's, but one at a time.

We need a game like this... Where you can create your own character and build from the ground up. Not some time travel jazz though. It's just your home and you're doing your thing.

I played it on Switch as well as the PS4 and I have to say it holds up really well
I pre ordered this game wasn't able to pick it up on the day store was closed for some reason then opened like an hour later after waiting for half an hour, so now i am looking forward to getting it next week at some point
Been waiting for this for a whole year. Dragon Ball has had a rich history with Nintendo and its only natural for it to come to switch.
You forgot that little golden aura next to Piccolo's picture when that is full and you hold down the charge button you get a rage mode and you could do even more damage
Ok, I may have found a small bug, If you try to do the time orb thing, once you completed it, it gets stuck Idk why this happens but they needs to fix it

The frieza dlc crashed. I wanted to try the time machine and replay the game but I can't do anything. I have to fight Whis and when I want to accept the quest it does nothing and I have to restart. I can't go "back" to fight the hordes with my party or anything
The fact that this game has been generally well-received gives me hope of adaptations of other anime like this. Of course, I’m thinking Naruto. I would imagine creating a well-made game with a long story that trims the fat of the anime would be wildly popular.

Post game crashes so bad on my switch if it's docked. I fly around for like 15 seconds or run into an enemy and it crashes now.

I do indeed love the entire series that goes for Dragon Ball GT as well, but as for the game, I pre-ordered it all the way in July. I'm just waiting for the thing to show up. And yes I'll be getting all DLC that's attached to it.

You know what we have something in common we weren't able to play the Kakarot game until it came to the switch like me did you pre-order the Ultimate Edition one of the things that buck me about the game is when I was Goku fighting Vegeta the only thing that bugged me as I kept getting game over too much because I only had one of his orange light bar Tanaka way to win the fight I was always so close to beating him and always bugged me I keep getting game over just when I was at a point where I could actually knockout the last bit of his life energy and every time I try to do that I kept losing and getting game over and I kept getting close to Victory I don't like the retry so much and it was playing the game on easy mode these difficulties do not act like what they're supposed to

Someone want to explain to me, why kakarot on the switch a console which main gimmick is to be portable, in unplable offline, everytime im off line the game pauses every minute to ask me to connect to the internet, i cant even take this game to work and if my internet goes out then im SOL.

But when you play trunks as DLC you actually get to see all of what he's talking about everybody ever faced like even how he said he faced Majin Buu trunks did in the anime but in the his DLC trucks DLC those battles he's talking about where he fought Majin Buu in the future a world without Goku
