I probably would have included Three Houses, Triangle Strategy, and maybe Dragon Quest XI or Luigi’s Mansion 3 but there’s no denying all 31 of those are excellent games.
If you enjoyed Triangle Strategy, Tactics Ogre Reborn is an amazing experience.

The Ori's, "Donkey Kong the Tropical Freeze" , "Luigi's Mansion 3" and "Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon" should have been in this list in my opinion!

Let's be honest: there are a great many games that should have been on this list, but this really just speaks to the high quality catalog that this system has built since 2017.
I love the Ori games, and I got the physical version of Will of the Whisps for the Switch (hope to get the first one too), but it doesn't feel quite right to play it at 720p; those games are meant to be played at 4k on the Xbox with it's controller

FE: Three Houses is missing. That's WILD. Could easily be a top 5 game on the Switch.
Overall great list, however here are a few games that were omitted that I would include in a list like this: Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3 Deluxe, Super Mario Maker 2, Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Doom, and Undertale/Deltarune.
Skyward sword has a love/hate relationship. It's decent but not top list worthy compared to others.
A fellow skyward sword enjoyer in the wild! But yeah it’s the fourth best Zelda game on the switch. I would put la over it.

People forget that Stardew Valley was in the eshop charts top 5 for more than TWO years! That game sold gangbusters on the Switch and is probably still selling well to this day.

Great list! My personal bias is sad that neither of the two Fire Emblem games made it on the list, but I realize FE is one of the bigger Nintendo IPs that isn’t everyone’s jam

As someone who practically grew up with Splatoon, Fire Emblem is the only rpg I’ve ever liked.

Fire emblem three houses, shin megami tensei v, donkey Kong tropical freeze, astral chain, octopath traveler 2, triangle strategy, ori and the Will of the wisps I would say may deserve spots over a few of the games on the list
I don't think Shin Megami Tensei V deserves a spot here. The list is full of great games and SMT V is heavily flawed

Seeing Ghost Trick randomly crop up in the middle of this list made me so happy ^_^ It's a game that's got the great and humorous character writing of Ace Attorney, fantastic animation, a wonderful art style, a toe-tapping soundtrack and most importantly... the story is short, and fast-paced and entirely gripping. I've had friends who don't usually have the patience for VNs play through this to the end and have a really good time with it. So sufficed to say... I think it's a fantastic and accessible time!
I've definitely got a lot of nostalgic bias, granted: I've also played this game through on the DS, on IOS and through an emulator on Android countless times over the years before the recent remaster. With that being said htough; to anyone who's at all curious about the game, I'd definitely recommend giving the demo a whirl and see what you think :)
The fact that Astral chain isn't on this list is criminal. It's objectively better than many of the games on this list. It's extremely fun and one of the best looking games on the system. Oh and it's a switch exclusive.

I can't believe Switch has arguably the best of their franchises all on once console. Arguably the best 2D Mario, best 3D Mario, 2D Metroid, Zelda, Mario Kart, Smash, Luigi's Mansion, Kirby. It's amazing.
Luigi’s Mansion 3, DragonQuest Builders 2, and Splatoon 2 had me addicted for months.
Not seeing Astral chain makes me sad but doesn't surprise me, not seeing sparks of hope surprises me, but i'd rather seen astral chain.

Three Houses, DQ XI S, and LM3 definitely up there; maybe Astral Chain and Xenoblade 2 as well
Metroid Prime Remastered was ultimately garbage, but somehow it ended up on this list. It has modestly superior graphics to the original, and the original was not a great game. Nintendo fanatics don't know the difference between a good game and an incredibly boring game

now im strictly PC & Nintendo again and it feels so good getting away from mainstream multiplayer games. absolutely love it so refreshing and your channel really helps out a lot

Best Nintendo library all titles considered? FS but best Nintendo published library? Fat chance, that's a damn high bar... It has to be a SNES or 64. GameCube might even be better than the switch. Half of the best Switch Nintendo games are actually Wii U games. It's definitely the best console ports from 3rd party's Nintendo has ever had no question tho

@@alibabaschultz352 eh. Paper Mario, Metroid prime 1 +2. Never played them but Pikmen 1 +2, best Mario kart until 8 which is a Wii U game... Sunshine > Odyssey IMO but maybe not Wonder? Idk I haven't played it yet. Animal crossing crosses out animal crossing and TP and WW are roughly equal if not slightly less than BOTW and TOTK but unlike BOTW TP is arguably better on the older hardware than it was on Wii. Which is a W for the Switch but not as much as it is for the GC. I much prefer the switch and didn't even have a GC growing up but most if not all Nintendo's game franchises outside of Mario and Zelda really were firmly established on GC. For the sample size I think GC exclusives had a higher batting average than the Switch.

I would not play Witcher 3 and Doom Eternal at Switch. I don't think Switch versions are good representations of those games. They are just functional.

Dragon Quest XI, SMT V, Luigi's Mansion, Astral Chain, FE Three Houses, Nier Automata. I know it's randomized, but if I could I would put all of those in the top 20 of an organized list. DQ XI and SMT V in the top 10. Any of those should replace Super Mario RPG. Astral Chain should replace Bayonetta 3.

The fact that Luigi’s Mansion 3, Astral Chai, and Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope aren’t on here but a bunch of games available on other platforms are, is a bit confusing to me.
Otherwise a solid list, just wish it was ALL switch games specifically.
LM3 and chain r superb. Rabbids not as great imo. List is good, altho the switch library is so vast and has so many good games it is tuff to choose.

Good list! Definitely some stuff I would put on that list:
* Towerfall - my absolute favorite multiplayer experience on the Switch. The fun and replay-ability of this game are indescribable.
* Limbo - it's old, and it's on every platform imaginable, but it's my second favorite game of all time, so it deserves to be here.
* Into The Breach - probably most of my actual, non-idle hours on the Switch were sunk into this game. Brilliant strategy game that is infinitely replay-able.
Oh and Luigi's Mansion 3!!! How could I forget?
Zelda: Link's Awakening deserves a mention. Vampire Survivors too!
I would make a Switch exclusive list, because the fact that these downgraded mulitplats got on this list above Luigi’s Mansion 3 is criminal.

There's a few extra in there just in case you don't consider some of them "good" but I've known people who enjoyed all of them. There are a bunch of other exclusives I didn't mention due to my lack of information on them or their lack of quality. All of them are true exclusives, though I guess you "might" consider Smash Ultimate a port.

Suprised Tunic gets slept on so much and wasnt included. Definitely my GOTY of 2022, and now it has a switch version! Amazing game would definitely recommend.

Its missing Astral Chain, Three Houses and Triangle Strategy for me. I wouldnt include Doom Eternal and Witcher 3 which are everywhere and run better on other platforms.
Your high ceiling would be perfect for a studio lighting grid. That way you can have your lights pre set up and just have to turn on the ones you need for that angle you're shooting at. Just a thought 🖤
Oh what a run the switch has had. It's crazy to think there's still more bangers coming next year too
I actually prefer The Switcher III: Wild Hunt to the other versions. The necessary sacrifices to get it running well on Switch made for a softer presentation with environments that have almost a watercolor look to them. I prefer that to the way the other versions strive for realistic environments but don't quite get there.

Also Hogwarts Legacy, I didn't like how weirdly bright and fuzzy the XBOX One version was, but the Switch one has had me playing for days, sometimes less is more.

Having the Doom Eternal music playing over the Pikman 4 section makes it feel anxiety-inducingly frantic
I love the eyewitness cat DVD you got up there. Those where soo cool to watch as a kid from the library
Undertale, Skyrim, Enter the Gungeon, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil Remake, Ace Attorney Trilogy, Dave the Diver Ori and the Blind Forest, Ori and the Will of the Wisps are on my personal list and not here. It’s all personal bias, but it just goes to show how deep the switch library is.

Ori 2 -- the only game in my Switch library that I was sad didn't make it on here. I'll admit it took a little while for the game to rev up, but damn, every boss fight, every power-up, every chase/escape sequence is so satisfying and fun, plus it's one of the few games whose ending made me truly cry. No I don't mean moist-eyes "🥺", I mean like waterfall-eyes "😭" crying.

Hard to take this seriously without Fire Emblem Three Houses.
I recently downloaded portal collection since it was on sale for $6.79 US. I haven’t played it since 2011 Portal 2 PS3 but it looks so good on switch.
It’s the perfect game for digital play too.

Goes to show how great the library is that there are a load of other games that arguably deserve to be on here (Octopath 2, Astral Chain, Xenoblade 1, Dragon Quest 11 etc etc.) Good list though 😊
By now the Switch has such a good library NL really should be doing a Top 50 or even Top 100 ranked list. Make it 2 hours long and I’d still watch it. Also get some shoot ‘em ups in there, the genre has had a massive resurgence recently and a huge number of great ‘shmups’ are available on Nintendo’s hybrid console.
When Brits say, “my partner,” what do they mean? “My pal”? “My girl-or-boy-friend”? “My co-worker”? “This drunk I met down the pub”? “My flatmate”? “The other sleuth/deputy I sleuth with”?
Partner = girlfriend/boyfriend/spose usually. Often used because "my boyfriend/girlfriend" sounds a bit childish or immature, or if you don't want to say what gender your spose is. Can also be used as in "police partner" too, but usually your "partner" is the person you're dating or married to in Britain + Australia.

This list should be called “best 31 mainstream switch games” Most of these are just Nintendo’s IPs
Astral Chain people c'mon, stardey valley, shovel knight both great but honestly...
Respectable list (minus a few that really don't belong), but here are some I would swap in:
-Zelda: Link's Awakening (not only a great game, but also exclusive)
-Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (gorgeous)
-Luigi's Mansion 3 (also gorgeous)
-Kiki KaiKai/Pocky & Rocky Reshrined (amazing)
Idk, honestly there are too many, I'll just cut my list short.
I like the fact that midway through the video you popped up, and I could actually see who it was that was narrating. With so many AI videos and clips out there it’s nice to know human is still doing this kind of stuff.

Blue fire should be one to buy and should be on this list. The precise platforming is amazing and the level designs are beautiful.
I kind of thought you'd stick to Switch exclusive games but, then I guess there are decent titles that are available on everything.

There's alot more great switch games such as Dragonquest 11, Astral Chain, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Luigis Mansion 3, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Sea Of Stars, Dave The Diver, Triangle Strategy, Octopath Traveler 1+2, Live a Live, Bravely Default 2, Nier Automata, Etc.
Dave the Diver, Ori, Luigi Mansion 3, Tunic, Links Awakening… heck theres lots of indie games left by the wayside
F-Zero 99 deserves a spot here I believe, it's outstanding and addictive. Lots of hidden depths.
What I love about Nintendo Life is that you guys make me appreciate the switch a lot more and make me want to play it so much more than other consoles
Astral Chain, FE three houses, triangle strategy, octopath 2, star ocean 2, links awakening remake. So many unbelivably good games on this console man....

No Three Houses tf??? That should be top 10 AT LEAST. It was so good that even non-FE fans often acknowledge it
Even big fans of 3 houses admitted a big flaw in the game that hurts replayability (and even first playthrough): the daily stuff you almost "have" to do in the monastery, not very inspired tasks for the most part. Also it's a 31 top list, many games can't make it. For instance, DK tropical freeze is almost as good and fun as Mario bros Wonder, but is not in the list. F-Zero 99 is crazy good too, but is not in the list. Etc.
Not even on my top 100
It may not be the best version, but how devs got the incredible Nier Automata looking/running so damn good on Switch was pure sorcery and adding some exclusive stuff like gorgeous new costumes is cherry on top. The masterpiece game is certainly on my personal list :-)
what do you think will be a collector sought-after 10 years from now? i mean the physical copy like the elusive gamecube Mario Sunshine and Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door.
I can’t believe Three Houses and Triangle Strategy aren’t in the list. Especially 3 Houses.
My favorite Nintendo Switch games have to be Super Mario Odyssey, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Super Mario Bros Wonder, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Party, Mario Party Superstars, Miitopia, Luigi's Mansion 3, Super Mario RPG, Kirby Star Allies, WWE 2K18, and Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe those are my favorite switch games i played on the Switch.
