It's nice to see all 3 cars together Andrew. I know where you are coming from owning more than one car. I own 5 but it's only doable because I do all the work myself. And work long hours in my job.

Thanks buddy, I will say also you bought each of yours for a very small and reasonable sum which means you have more income to manage that fleet. Huge sacrifices are made with multiple cars, it's a lifestyle I think! We both love the everyday stuff.

Nice seeing the 3 together. Great picture shot you had with the camera there. I'm the same with 3 cars and know the feeling with time, cost and space of owning 3.
I agree it's not for the feint hearted. I've saved a lot of money for me to afford having 3. It's not easy as you say.

I forgot you own three cars Adam. Oh it's not easy is it. A balancing act, hugely stressful at times but as equally rewarding. As a car enthusiast there's no better place. You only live once, do what you can and have no regrets :)

Lovely cars Andrew. You are doing a great job with all 3.

Fair play on the three cars, they all look well cared for as expected. I have two cars, one is a toy and another a daily and would like to add a third but as you say, money and lack of space. The focus styling really stands out in the line up beside the two. Really has aged well.
I did chuckle with the comment “so why do you need two cars, because I am a car guy” damn right and it’s my answer too. Great video.

The Focus does stand out a lot doesn't it! It depends what the third car is - presumably a hobby car again but with a difference to he other hobby car?

@@usuallyfixingtinkering was thinking the third would be something unique and old. Wouldn’t be another daily driver.

I had that with my cvh engine you could sometimes see sparking on the cylinder head sometimes the leads where hard to clip onto the plugs and getting them off was a right pain to

This was sparking at the no.2 plug, the rubber had perished at the ends, new 8MM red silicone replacements are on the way for the OEM-look! The old ones will be spares.

Fair play to you owning three cars you must have deep pockets or earn good money to tax and insure and keep the maintenance up on all three cars or you a single man with no children the only one I would sell the rover only because I'm not a big fan of them only fords or vauxhall myself

Oh the Rover is going nowhere, the fiesta will be the first to go if I need space or money. Well doing 95% of my own work means that I can afford 3 cars with some balancing/scrutinising on what funds need to be allocated to what car. I'm always looking at the short and long-term with repairs and future proofing my cars. You need deep pockets to own more than 4 and look after them!

Well done!! Love these 3! I just backtracked to one of your p6 videos where you were about to sell it. It looked a lovely car and I was fascinated by some of the photos you showed and the amount of work you put into the interior! Do you know its current whereabouts? Mot is showing as 2022. Not sure when you sold it but you mentioned 75000 miles? Obviously the mot issues you will have seen. I so hope it's still with us.🙏

I sold the car in October 2019 and it changed hands again very quickly. I was pretty annoyed at myself, I sold the car for a fair price to find out the next owner was selling it 4 months later for double! Greedy opportunist springs to mind. The interior took a lot of work, I had my time with that car but I'd love the chance to have it again if fate plays its hand. I definetly think it survives 100% and the advisories sound - pretty usual. The gearbox weeped when stood for a few days which is normal for a Borg Warner and the front crank seal did the same (not the seal just really hard getting the sump to sit correctly on it). Springs are the originals but nothing wrong with them, they rarely break. Great example and I've only see one picture of the car since my ownership looking very alive and the paintwork still flat as anything after a few weeks since its last polish!

I am happy that my partner does understand (mostly) what means own modern classic car. And on other hand being jealous is okay as long it is in good way. Like you mentioned oh he has so nice car, etc. how I can improve it? Car show was for me was to see how good can be good and I thought mine was good, but nah, there is always where to improve lol.

Hi what is wrong with the power steering in the focus

    • @usuallyfixingtinkering
      @usuallyfixingtinkering  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

Nothing but when you go from a very heavy manual steering in the fiesta to the PS system in a focus it's amazingly delightful to steer!
