I'm excited to come back full circle and pass on this game and keep it going for them.
I still have the Original Soundtrack CD in perfect condition still. I begged my mom to buy it for me when I was a kid. I made her listen to the Brambles and said, see, its relaxing! Truly maybe the best game on the SNES and the Best Soundtrack for an SNES game. I know, Chrono Trigger is king, but its close.
DKC2 is probably the best video game music ever created. Such nostalgia comes through me when I listen to this soundtrack. Its like I time travel back to my childhood. Still play the DKC series to this day! Such beautiful music! Fun fact: David Wise wanted to use Stickerbrush Symphony for the underwater levels but chose not to at the last second. I'm happy he did.

When it comes to video games this is without a doubt one of the best soundtracks out there for video game in my opinion they didn't have to use words or anything and it was still incredible and awesome this is one of the reasons why I love the 16-bit error when it comes to retro gaming that was probably my favorite one it was just so good on so many different levels. Best thing I liked about 16-bit games I would definitely have to say they're probably some of the funnest and coolest ones and they don't look half bad but at the same time compared to games nowadays they might look more realistic but at the same time this time should not look like video games anymore
So many bangers, over the 3 games all top notch. Just amazing on a game console meant for children using MIDI synths and 6 channels lol. Absolutely amazing.

for me this is one of the best games of all time. Great music, fun levels, simple gameplay that anyone can pick up, memorable bosses, varied worlds that give you a sense of progress as you can see the island as you reach the top, secrets, no needless backtracking, a hidden world with hard levels and a climactic final boss. This game has it all
Remembering getting a SNES in high school from a friend and getting this game along with it, my first Donkey Kong Country game. Jib Jig and Mining Melancholy were some of my favorite tracks growing up...both feeling chill and fun to listen too.
I am still so stunned how some of those songs were able to produce so much feels. I mean ... Hot-Head Bop ... sounds like an exciting song first, but all those little notes in the back and the actual music ... it makes me FEEL and wow!! I was always listening to the Brambles or Ice or Forest level soundtracks for hours on end!
Those Donkey Kong games of you lied under the cristmas tree for me as a child, hearing this music reminds me of those great times as a child where everything was different and somehow better. Thanks Rare thanks Nintendo.
Pqp! Stickerbrush Symphony é absurdamente incrível!!!! É um remédio contra estresse e ansiedade. É por isso, que falam que música tem poder de cura! Escute isso num ambiente silencioso, só isso que falo.
I actually prefer this to the "restored" version. It has a cleaner sound, but for some reasons this one sounds better. The effects (like stereo, delay and reverb) are deeper, and all the instruments sound quite clear, while in the restored version the volume varies a lot, making some instruments almost inaudible. The samples differ a lot in quality, but in the original they all sound about the same due to the compression. There's also a few things missing or different, and some samples are definitely not the originals. It's still quite impressive and a lot of work went into it, so I respect it, but I think the original is better.
@@pintvdkint2515 I wouldn't say that it was a fucked up attempt, but an unnecessary one. The soundtrack is fine as it is, and it's impressive to this day considering the hardware limitations. It didn't need any improvements, so they ended up butchering it by trying to improve it. Remixes and arrangements don't count since they are altering the music more directly and dramatically, instead of a simple "remaster".
The melodies of "Stickerbrush Symphony", "Forest Interlude", & "In a Snow-Bound Land" are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Big props to David Wise for making beats that could last many generations, and more generations to come! Thank you for sculpting my childhood!
I can't even tell you how much fun I've had playing this game as a kid and an adult. The music does such an amazing job of putting you into the hearts of these adorable little monkeys through out the game. All the fear, courage, urgency, playfulness, wonder and solace. It's hands down one of the greatest games / OST's ever created.
Donkey Kong 2 is the best DK game. DK2 is the best because it have awesome music and awesome stages. My favorite DK theme song is Stickerbrush Symphony and I love playing Diddy Kong Racing N64.
I remember being unable to get past the level with the rising toxic waste and you being all the different animal. It was so hard for me. Came back to it at a later time and beat it. This was the hardest DKC game but it was so rewarding.
Ahh yes those days were magical ...but very hard to beat certain stages...i remember getting mad and throwing my controller around the room and crying cause I could not beat the hard stages. We played till 2 am everyday almost just trying to progress in the game...yeah ill always remember that feeling of being stressed as kid because of this game...it was worth it lol
DAMN, every song is so good! I want to do a top 5 but I'd feel bad leaving some of them out. Tentative Top 5 though would be: 1)Stickerbrush 2) Lockjaw's Saga 3) Mining Melancoly 4) Forrest Interlude 5) In a Snowbound Land
Actually Krook's March and Forest Interlude are my favorites because of their Rhythm and intonation, one is peaceful (Forest Interlude), and the other is like more stressful and competitivo (Krook's March). I remember when I had beaten Toxic Tower
This brings me such good memories. I used to play DK2 with my siblings. Unfortunately, they left this world, but I'll always remember them through this game and the songs, they hold a very special place in my heart. If I ever have kids, I'll definetly pass on the tradition to play the Donkey Kong trilogy with them, and tell them their uncle and aunt have taught me to love this game.
can really appreciate the music a lot more like this, whenever I play this game, I'm so locked in to the gameplay, I don't have time to stop and appreciate the little things in life
I noticed way back when I was a teen that few of the tracks clearly have a Phil Collins influence. (Swamp theme [in the air] and the Ice Theme [take me home] come to mind) The composer has since confirmed that there was indeed a bit of an influence there.
I love music and when I played the game the songs got stuck in my head. I got so obsessed that I would tap Cranky's Conga, Jib Jig, Snakey Chantey, Stickerbush Symphony, and so many more songs in class. I'm literally buying bongos and learning how to play them just to play the songs-
The harkening back to Aquatic but jungle style in Primal Rave is still the absolute peak of DKC music for me. The whole track embodies the idea of a lost world almost unimaginably well. Only almost unimaginable because Mr. Wise indeed managed to imagine it. It speaks to the spirit of a lost world, the basin of life, and calls it forth.

Came here after watching TerminalMontage's latest video. Vibing to all the songs since every one is a banger
Man Klubba's reveille is goated
Listened to the whole soundtrack while playing minecraft, mining melancholy sounds so perfect!
Stickerbrush Symphony always gets me feeling so many different ways. I like to listen to it when it rains.
Soundtrack of my childhood!!
33:09 Good song, but I especially love the intro.
This track used to blow me and my friend minds.
This is so underrated this song but I still love it!
my Childhood.. Donkey Kong Country 1, 2 and specially 3.. one of the best Soundtrack I've ever heard.
Good old times..
Cuando los juegos de hacían con amor, no sólo por vender

Jib Jig gives me pure joy
🤌
One of the best platformers ever made, alongside one of the most iconic soundtracks.
O que falar dessa trilha sonora? Simplesmente perfeita sem falar da nostalgia que ela causa, o meu DK preferido.

08:22 Lockjaw's Saga
11:35 Hot-Head Bop
18:59 Bayou Boogie

24:39 Stickerbrush Symphony, The BEST
DAMN, every song is so good! I want to do a top 5 but I'd feel bad leaving some of them out.
Tentative Top 5 though would be:
1)Stickerbrush
2) Lockjaw's Saga
3) Mining Melancoly
4) Forrest Interlude
5) In a Snowbound Land

Gang plank galleon
One of the best DK soundtracks, theyre all great, all 3
David Wise is to the SNES what Yuzo Koshiro is to the Mega Drive / Genesis.

A famous man once said
"This song sounds like a mystic golem just woke up from its 300 year old nap and started doing the robot."
I like how Sonic and Donkey Kong incorporated a lot of hip hop themes and songs that were really bass driven. It makes them so tasty.
Disco Train is another one of my favorites.
gotta love the Disco Train! grows on ya :)
Best soundtrack ever!!
Obsessed with Forest Interlude.
The best game and the best soundtrack of all time. Nothing come close.
Its imposible to choose one cause all of them are a georgeus. Magic
DK 2 O MELHOR DE TODOS ATÉ NA TRILHA SONORA. MARCANTE
Lockjaw's was easily my favorite piece when I played this as a kid. What a phenomenal soundtrack!
can really appreciate the music a lot more like this, whenever I play this game, I'm so locked in to the gameplay, I don't have time to stop and appreciate the little things in life
I had this game in the 90's... I regret to sell the console with the games :(
For the time, this was the best OST. It matched everything perfectly. A mixture of everything.
I noticed way back when I was a teen that few of the tracks clearly have a Phil Collins influence. (Swamp theme [in the air] and the Ice Theme [take me home] come to mind) The composer has since confirmed that there was indeed a bit of an influence there.
I knew I noticed that! I hear it strongly with In the Air, but you have to listen kinda close to get the Take Me Home reference.
Love how the crickets stay on rhythm through out the song ! Of Bayou boogie 😆
This is the best video game soundtrack of all time
On Snes the best soundtrack is Secret of mana.
I love music and when I played the game the songs got stuck in my head. I got so obsessed that I would tap Cranky's Conga, Jib Jig, Snakey Chantey, Stickerbush Symphony, and so many more songs in class. I'm literally buying bongos and learning how to play them just to play the songs-
27 years ago I got this game for Christmas.
hot head bop is an underrated masterpiece
its gets its time to shine in rom hacks
Lost World Anthem - dark, creepy, eerie and just amazing!
One of the all time best soundtracks. Wayyyyyyyyyy before their time. Rappers and DJs could steal all this an make bangers!

THE SMELL OF CHILDHOOD ❤️
De lejos, pero muy de lejos! la mejor banda sonora de un video juego en toda la historia!
