Not just added horsepower but shaved weight which is kind of adding more power on top of the actual gain by being lighter. Promod guys are over the moon ecstatic if they can just shave ounces much less pounds and gain an insane amount of horse's.
@@cjcoleman7372 Of course, the most important aspect of going fast is the power to weight ratio. That's the whole reason my little 650cc bike goes 0-60 in 3.2 seconds completly stock.
Growing up, our neighbor had a ~1000hp car like that (I forget what exactly) that he built for drag racing. Once a month or so he would take the car out in his driveway to tune it and such... It was sooooo loud you could not have a conversation while inside. But it sounded just like this trans am. Love it.
Riley is a very humble kid. It's awesome to see the young generation loving what they do. And props to his parents for supporting his dreams instead of trying to tell him what to do.
absoluely an amazing car- i can respect the passion he put into this beast, and it does its job of inspiring me to build cars to this level! keep on killing it!
Being a Brit there are too many US cars that float my boat but I’ve always loved the look of these things. Adding the race car look makes it just perfect to my eyes. Kudos to the guy for such a great build.
These older Muscle cars truly deserve that kind of attention..,especially the ones that were destined for 'destruction'...saved and brought back to life and greatness...
This kid built this car at home in his yard! There's not a single high end tv show or unlimited capital kinda shop on the planet that can can even come close to him. Awesome job!!!
I showed my dad the first video of this and he immediately thought the exhaust was all wrong. Went on a long speech about tuned length headers and the old Vanwall formula one cars. I’m kinda scared to show him this one cuz he’d be proven right.
This is hands down my most favorite car you have shot that I've seen so far. Not saying that the others wasn't cool or worthy but this 1.. OMG 😲! An insane car shot by a VERY talented photographer... how can you possibly go wrong?
Dude, this is a car I always wanted to build!! My mom's friend used to have one when I was a kid and it's always been in my mind. Also this video was uploaded on my birthday...it's a sign...
Beautiful car man and it’s awesome to see a local build featured. I grew up in and around this area and regularly ride my bike on the surrounding trails. Awesome down to earth guy and amazing build, much respect.
Such a sick build that is deserving of being a Hot Wheels car. The first time I saw Riley's build it reminded of the SkippyZ T/A. Sad that the SkippyZ Trans Am burned in the CA fires.
This car is fuckin insane, I think you guys featured it once already, but it's not like I'm gonna complain. It has everything, a great frame, an insane drive train, perfect exhaust notes and amazing looks. The look in particular is something I wanted to see for a loooong time on one of these, the roots of the kaido Racer aesthetic, with front lip, ducktail, fender flares, deep small wheels and laid the fuck out. There are tons of F bodies lowered with large rims or with the old school stink bug stance on 5 spokes, but none done this way, and it looks fuckin perfect ☠️🖤☠️
It's amazing what young adults can do when they still live at home with the parents and build your dream car on the side of their house awe I remember those days now whatever money I make goes to things called bills now
for the floor of the passenger I suggest looking at ancient MORGAN cars building blueprints ,they used (still) a specific wood (walnut I think).to overcome extreme heat problems they had with engine/exhaust/firewall.....a piece of wood (2.5 cm) sandwiched between aluminium and heat protection fabric (turbo sock/wrap)...would for sure help with the "toasty' footwell..!!!
‘Got some hoosiers for the track day, bro’ Pikes Peak could be a possibility, but I think the roll cage regulations are pretty tight for it now, for obvious reasons.
I miss the 8 to 1 just like anyone else. But the heat it made, the space it took up, and the likelihood it burnt lots of lines and wires, it was time for it to go. It also seemed to have restricted a bit of power with such long tubes and all that airflow.
We'll always remember those epic 8-to-1 headers, but we have to admit that this is better. Lighter, more reliable, more powerful, better placed, iconic sound, its much better to me.
Larry ... I bet this thing will blow the tires off Pontiac guy... oh yeah but once they get warm it’s manageable Larry’s response.......hmmmmm 👍👍👍🤦♂️😂😎☝️☝️☝️😃 Hmmm......love it !!!
Absolutely amazing build and Riley is humble as all heck. Sadly the car hasn't really been flogged like it was built for. I always see this car in show situations but never driven. Think he's still sorting it...
If you want that Larry Chen peeker sticker head over to the Etsy store. Each print comes with peeker stickers! www.etsy.com/shop/larrychenphoto
Where can I find that Toyota gaiter?
1:27 the photo is amazing.
Im really confused about why he couldnt ride in it. The fuel cell?
can i say that sticker is low key cute?
You should have tagged rielys channel.
I loved the 8-to-1 headers but you can't ignore 90hp from a tuned exhaust system
Power... or sound... power or sound... why not both? I love this sound, not quite 8-to-1 but its certainly its own, equivalent, different charm :)

THE UPDATE WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING ON!!!!
That motor is nearly a one-off, absolutely beautiful
Shia LaBeouf has a pretty dope build.
Shia LaBeouf with Real Life Skills and a upgraded Personality 👍
just doooooo ittt. ok I did it now what.
Riley is a very humble kid. It's awesome to see the young generation loving what they do. And props to his parents for supporting his dreams instead of trying to tell him what to do.

The photographer is really great at talking, it's amazing how much of the video he fills with his incessant droning

When God gave Man muscle cars, this is what came down from the heavens.
This is by far the best build from the last 10 years.
This kid built this car at home in his yard! There's not a single high end tv show or unlimited capital kinda shop on the planet that can can even come close to him. Awesome job!!!
This thing is literally a dream come true
The stance on that car is just perfect!
This guy is sooo humble and the talent and abilities he has to built that are insane
I showed my dad the first video of this and he immediately thought the exhaust was all wrong. Went on a long speech about tuned length headers and the old Vanwall formula one cars. I’m kinda scared to show him this one cuz he’d be proven right.
Lmao show'em anyway
That was the one thing that stood out on the Build Bio, that and the hose routing.
Both those things cleaned up, it's nearly perfect, I'm sure.
Another great video. A suggestion, when the guest points to a part of the vehicle you should focus with the camera there.
Exactly, many youtubers do this. Focus on the car not the person. We can listen we don't need to see their faces.
This is hands down my most favorite car you have shot that I've seen so far. Not saying that the others wasn't cool or worthy but this 1.. OMG 😲! An insane car shot by a VERY talented photographer... how can you possibly go wrong?
member the 8-to-1 headers? that was so cash money
I wip a Tesla still got gazzz money.
@@markoz673bajen8 bars
Until you had to access anything in the engine compartment
They sounded knarly
Oh I member. You member?
That suspension is outstanding!!! Of course the entire vehicle is, but I love that suspension.
This car just leaves me speechless, it's a thing of beauty. It's just BADASS.
This was watchable. Nice to see someone who can speak and express himself intelligently! Oh yeah, I'm drooling over this car!
1,000 naturally aspirated horse power to the crank from a small block!!!!!!! That is absolutely amazing! Wow weeee...
This guy is a genius.
that dude didnt build the car rewatch
The still with the diagonal chassis tubes framing the front of the engine; pure art, both mechanical and photographic.
It's funny how the photographer is the best interviewer......... Awesome questions Larry!
This really is one of the most unique project car ever built
Such a great car, it reminds me of early trans am race cars, my favorite era of motor sports
Dude, this is a car I always wanted to build!! My mom's friend used to have one when I was a kid and it's always been in my mind. Also this video was uploaded on my birthday...it's a sign...
Unreal car and I love this dude. Super humble and down to earth. Amazing build 💪
I think it's fantastic this car and builder is still getting attention.
Especially since he built it on the side of his house on jack stands not even in a garage 👍
THE R32 IN FRONT OF MT FUJI IS LEGIT!!! I got to snowboard on the mt a few times when i was in the CORPS! ERRAHHHHHH
TransAM is one of the classics I want to build... Love this one!
The shot of this car from the back left angle is gorgeous!
My favorite build of the last five years or so.
LEGENDARY BUILD WHAT A HUMBLE GUY! LOVE IT!
Riley is killing it! This dude was quick af on a bmx track also!
I absolutely love this thing. One of my favs...
It just keeps getting better
We should see it run against Ken in the Hoonicorn👍
Its got half the power as the hoonicorn.
And Ken didn't build that car his self in his front yard at home
It will get crushed. Would be a bad episode.
I definitely remember that hot photo depicting this car at Sema my jaw hit the ground fast forward to today. It just happened again artistic genius
Everything about it is a thing of beauty, nothing i see makes me think "Would look better if..."
Beautiful car man and it’s awesome to see a local build featured. I grew up in and around this area and regularly ride my bike on the surrounding trails. Awesome down to earth guy and amazing build, much respect.
One of my favorite builds of all time
Such a sick build that is deserving of being a Hot Wheels car. The first time I saw Riley's build it reminded of the SkippyZ T/A. Sad that the SkippyZ Trans Am burned in the CA fires.
Really?? Shiiiiiit I loved that thing.
That is truly rolling magnificence
What a really cool down to earth guy. Congrats on your dream.
With a sequential this would be the perfect car. Absolutely perfect.
Not a huge fan of American muscle but dang these TransAM build so sweet!!!!!! I love it
He was up for the hot wheels legends with this car.. Kid put his heart an soul into this beast... Beautiful car..
Yea and he won.
For some reason it had never occurred to me that a Trans-Am could be so low. It's like a whole new car at that ride height. Looks incredible.
What a cool owner. Super humble.
Larry Chen in Sacramento! If you ever come back for another video I know some cool spots!
I thought it was a custom plate that said isbd392 or Is bad 392. Nice built, guy has a gift. Great Video!
My favorite build hands down ever
Great interview and questions. You can tell this guy is the real deal.
Man I love your work Larry.
Also maybe I missed yall commenting on it, but I could not help but notice that it was mid-engine. Such a crazy design.
Riley is such a legend
So much right.......interesting exploration of the build.......but hanging out for action and revs.........

Respect to the builder.. So much work.. With an amazing outcome..
Thank you both
beautiful photos Mr Chen
7:12 Wow "that's what I liked seeing on the internet." Holy ish you newly defined Culture.

Wow! At ten minutes, this would have over 1MM views.

Holy mother of fawk! That thing looks INSANE guys! INSANE!
Work of art... so cool it's N/A when almost nobody does it anymore.
Such a bad ass build you killed it bro
‘Got some hoosiers for the track day, bro’ Pikes Peak could be a possibility, but I think the roll cage regulations are pretty tight for it now, for obvious reasons.
I could watch 100 more vids on this car and it wouldn't be enough
Right
Right
Beautiful mid-engine Trans Am what a great build
The 8 to 1 was pure art, it's what made this car special
Nice choice Larry! Some builds are just right
As an audio engineer the audio on this is executed beautifully
I saw that car in person at SEMA. Man, I hope the welds hold up!
Within it's category, top 3 all time!! True functional arr
I miss the spaghetti headers but you can’t argue with 90 extra horsepower. Such an incredible build!

Gorgeous car and photos to match! HUGE RESPECT!
Trans? Driveshaft? Rear Diff? Rear suspension? Would like to know more because this car is just that damn cool.
My 62 327 loved the corvette ram horn manifolds
Love the passion you bring to your channel. Keep up the great work
This is beautiful, amazing creation, one of my faves on the channel
Man, you’re an incredible builder! But did the world really need another Chevy powered Firebird? Butler Performance.
Dude you are a absolute badass dude seriously
BADASS😊😊😊!
Whomever edited this vid must’ve been on drugs! Let’s show a pic of the wheel while he talks about the exhaust. 🤦🏾♂️
And the headlights when Larry comments how amazing the wheels ar
What a cool guy, and man did he build a wicked car!!

That car is beautiful!!!!!!
And that outro is 🔥
The Pictures don't even look real. Looks like Forza. 🔥🔥
Don't cry Larry Chen.
Larry ... I bet this thing will blow the tires off
Pontiac guy... oh yeah but once they get warm it’s manageable
Larry’s response.......hmmmmm
