Firebird fenders with no fender vents and a Formula hood... yeah, it was probably all cobbled from a junk yard too and.. .yeah, I dig it! Now... can I drive it??? :)

Then I ran across this video. In the first couple sentences he says "Ken Blocks lead mechanic" and right then I knew shit was about to get crazy LMAO. Awesome build for sure. Now we just need more video of it hooning!
This GUY is my hero!! I loved the junkyard engineering! I loved doing that too! Had kids and left it alone. I remember those days walking through the aisles with toolbox, tape measure and caliper ! Some many parts are interchangeable if you have the knowledge! You can find stock parts that are Heavy Duty for your ride!

I’m a 5 time TA owner purist and I owned a 71 Formula 455. I love this build! Oh to spend time in a junkyard and go wild would be amazing. But, it would have been next level amazing if it had the poncho 400. LS is almost a given nowadays.

The most shocking part is the A/C. Admirable for him to go through the extra trouble. With a car like this, most people would give up on A/C as it presents a lot of space and packaging challenges.

When I drove my buddy's 71 Formula 400 3 speed in High School, never imagined there would one day be something like this so many decades later. His even had the side pipes and wide tires. In this year the Formula 400 looked better than the Trans Am IMHO.
