These trains are some of the most common in the country now and AP made a mediocre pack. I mean it’s not bad but they’re the local trains for so many people that I can’t help feeling there’s a lot of missed potential.

Its annoying how they didn't add the digital speedo at all, for the different subclasses of the 800/801/802/803 series, even missing out the other livery's as well bugs me, plus they have poor customer service as well tbh, but as always this video always makes my day.

Just a small correction, the AP EP is not based on the prototype. The InterCity Express Concept was indeed released for TS but was later withdrawn (fully - it was removed from the libraries of those who owned it and now only can be found on pirate websites, which is how I got mine). The ECML route released before the Class 801 was released. In TS2015, all players were given the 801 for free and it was also added to the ECML package. The model is from 2014, which isn't as old as the Concept model (which had a cab copied from the Pendolino and I believe was introduced in RailWorks 2).
Ah right. I figure it was designed for TS but wasn't quite too sure. Thanks for the insight

Never really messed with the image settings to be fair, though I did set it to HDR some time back

Straight up, this pack will probably boring to use very quickly simply because of the cab. When you mentioned only texture changes in the cab, Id personally call that an understatement considering its literally just buttons ooef. 17 quid for this?? Yeah... I don't really have that much routes to drive this train on other than the ECML, so for extra variety I made do with the old GWR diversional route from Waterloo as well. 🥴

How hollow. I agree with the majority that you've said, but like... they just can't do trains remotely modern properly. GTOs (465s and 365s...metcam tho, as Brush sounds actually decent) and IGBTs (465s again, this, 387, 375...). I understand its hard to replicate them as theyre smooth af and require much more precision than say a train with camshaft and pure DC motor sounds. But come on! 16.99 youd expect a little more effort. Just a shame AP are pissing away their name like this.
