I saw a lot of comments saying that Ren used Gorya to forget Mira, i think if he only used Gorya he wouldn't really care and love Gorya for real. But we saw that in fact he really cares about Gorya even before Mira left. Then I also saw a lot of comments said why Gorya was crying for Ren like that and didn't think about Thyme's feelings, even though Gorya did that it was because Ren is friend of hers and she cared, without Ren Gorya wouldn't be able to be at that point. besides that ren is important to gorya because before thyme, ren was the only one who cared about gorya when no one cared, and gorya also feels guilty that she forced ren to fight for her love for mira even though it ended badly and made ren hurt. People who think gorya doesn't think about thyme's feelings should look at it from another perspective. I know what gorya said to thyme at the zoo was too rude, and she realized it, even felt guilty. She also has a desire to apologize so he came to look at the sofa that f4 used to hang out to look for thyme before seeing the news about ren. but she saw the news about ren first so she felt sorry and looked for ren to calm his feelings. we can see that gorya actually cares about thyme. yes, i know thyme loves gorya too, but believe me thyme also needs to learn to control his emotions (not about tesla coz he's annoying and deserve punch), but when he saw ren and gorya on the roof he got angry instead of finding out what was really going on between gorya and ren. he also doesn't want to ask about gorya's feelings to ren instead of getting mad, even in the teaser we see him removing ren from f4. if he loves gorya he should try to find out what happened, he need to communication, not to be mad. And some people who said that Ren took Gorya also forgot that before that, Thyme knew that Gorya had a crush on Ren, but even though he already knew, Thyme was still trying to be close to Gorya and trying to be Gorya's lover, so technically, isn't that the same thing, after all, Gorya doesn't have a relationship with him yet. So instead of getting mad or fight they should be able to compete in a healthy way, but yeah this is fictional story and characters so it's understandable, i just sad that people saw ren as a bad guy when he's not, i didn't hate thyme, i also love him, but seriously his personality sometimes too toxic and he needs to fix that
Omg yes I agree with everything you said. I feel like Ren truly cares for Gorya and honestly he hasn't done anything directly to her to make it seem like he trying to steal her at all. Most likely he has feelings for her but is going to help Thyme date her instead. I hate how people think so lowly of Ren like he just got heartbroken but that doesn't mean he is suddenly a total jerk to his best friends. Gorya is so confused with her feelings which is totally understandable like who wouldn't be in that situation. Thyme stans need to calm down for a sec and stop getting so mad at Ren and Gorya.

Just a fact :
I realized that we can figure out Thyme's emotional state by the colors he's wearing. Since he is with Gorya, Thyme - who wears mostly dark colors, has been wearing more bright/lighter colors, especially when he's around her. (Red when he went to her house, light colored shirt at the rainy first date, yellow when him and Gorya were explaining their relationship to Kavin and MJ, also yellow when he buys the whole bus to go with Gorya, mixed colors/prints at the zoo date etc.)
But in the scenes which he's sad, angry or hot-headed, he wears either black or brown heavy outfits. (When he was being the F4 Thyme at school, when he's with her mother at home, when he sees Ren and Gorya hugging, when he was drugged by Hana at the bar, and in the trailer when he kicks Ren out of F4 and goes to confront Ren at the school later)
I also notice that his outfits matches his emotional state. He mostly wears red when he's in love. He's wearing animal prints to show his thick skin hut underneath that he was wearing a floral light colored shirt on his frst date with gorya.
I think people forget that all of f4 member is bully.. no i mean the whole school is full of bully.. f4 just the main provider. I see a lot of comment say that thyme is the bully which i don't agree. THE FOUR OF THEM IS BULLY. thyme the one who start it, and the other three follow it. No one is better in that part. Funny how people say ren better than thyme just because he keep quiet and not do the real punch thing..

That's so true. I think people forget that. What I like about this version, though, is that while the rest of the f4 are still bullies, they actually try to stop Thymes' red card. In other versions, they go along and sometimes even encourage the bullying.
I am badly in love with Thyme...his chemistry with Gorya is OUT OF THIS WORLD. They make me crazy! This episode also showed so much details in every scene, also putting the symbolization of Tulip Mania into highlight. On one side it symbolizes the memory of your first love...but it is also a symbol for its history in 1600 century where it had been the most expensive flower at one time, even having the same price as certain houses...but years later the prices for the Tulip collapsed suddenly. Thats why its called Tulip Mania and Thyme`s mother keeps the tulips to remind herself that changes are to be stopped, or else her empire can collapse.

Thyme was a bully but he had a reason not cuz he WANTED to be but in the story they even showed the reason Thyme is this way is cuz he never was treated or surrounded by love its not ROMANTIZING but showing that ppl have more than one side u see he actually didnt CHANGE but learned that what he is, is okay to be like that not his mother watching his every action but Gorya just opened up that world for him that he never experienced before as a viewer we were thought well thats why we r here with our big mouth talking whats right n wrong . And on other hand this REN was portraited as a person who was taught well n not surrounded by pressure like thyme he was a person who exactly knows whats right n wrong n by thyme bullying other in first ep n this ur perfect ren just kept quite thats just like agreeing to this so the action equals bad on same level just cuz he helped gorya only basically doesnt make him better but ya in some perspective it does but look pass the façade cuz u know he was taught good as a kid unlike thyme love also he never experienced from his mom what do u want from him n trying to be a better person is the best thing he is not only doing it to gorya but to other too . ppl r mad at ren cuz we all know he has senses not to do what he did cuz his mind has been taught better than thymes yes thats the truth. Quickly wanted to mention as you mentioned the flowers. Love love how they all have their different flowers in the opening and they all have different meanings which symbolize their characters personality. I just love the symbolism in this show from all the metaphors to the customs etc. They really put in so much effort in itt. Gosh I'm obsessing over this show nd ngl this is the best ever F4 remake🙌🙌♥️

Even in this episode the way Tesla's costume had all kind of teeth on it like he was showing his teeth and the stuff toy being a honey badger ahhh its just great. PS my experience is been amazing cuz i love you guys freaking outt during episode and just idkkk I'd love to have friends who enjoy the same show as me. Ren is not over Mira, his just heart broken and know he come back because he knows that Gorya had a little crush on him. How Gorya expresses herself saying that he's important to her, and going back to the flashback it tells me that what she really feels is gratitude someone that helped her and was there at the moment she need and of course he means a lot to her. But thats so different from loving a person also you can like everyone in many ways but like and love are different feelings. Also she assent say who she loves I really don't know Ren feeling either for me he's still confused like Thyme said, in the other hand I really know Thymes feelings toward Gorya he's in love with her.
Thyme's outfit is based on his emotions...It's the symbolism (even Ren changes colors)

I think people forget that thyme was Gorya's bully, and a very dangerous one too. You can't just wipe away the trauma she experience just because, he now likes her. Gorya almost left the school but stayed and got the strength to fight from the small encounters with ren. People aren' t paying attendtion to Gorya words, when she speaks about thyme. She have said over and over that she is worried about what he will do to her, that is why she lied because she is still afraid of him. She saw first hand how one text (even thou he didn't send it) can ruin her life. Thyme needs to be patient and allow Gorya the chance to trust him, but instead of doing that, he is going to kick out ren. Showing that if things don't go his way, then people are punish. That is not a relationship, its dictatorship.

Just two comments: I think what you guys commented on the video is one of the reasons why the korean version is my least favorite remake of them all. Thyme - Domyuji - Daoming Si is actually a very hard character to portray (IMO). Because they are doing it in the CORRECT way here in f4 thailand, which is that there's a HUGE side of him that is like a child.Thyme is not ~just immature, he's legit so (paradoxically) innocent and naive and this comic side of him is SO IMPORTANT to understand his character. That's my beef with BBF. As much as I love Lee Min-ho he was never able to portray that playful side of Gu Jun Pyo well (maybe it was a problem with the writers too ofc). On the other hand Jun Matsumoto (on the japanese version), and Dylan Wang (on 2018 Meteor Garden) were able to deliver their roles perfectly - those two versions had humor as well because IT IS part of the story.
I think this shows how Bright was indeed the man for the job. Because you have to play the main character perfectly - with all his nuances- for the story to make sense. (and that's not an easy job at all)
Second, Gorya experiencing "First love" vs "True Love" YEEEEEESSSS I feel that's exactly it. Also, experiencing a love that "makes sense" versus one that doesn't "make sense" at all (supposedly). And I think that's the problem here. She lied to thyme (IMO) for the simple reason she didn't wanna hurt him. She's starting to have these feelings and it's like she doesn't wanna see. In her head, it doesn't make sense so when he punched Tesla she's like "see i knew it doesn't make sense" or somthing like that.

I just don't like how Daoming slap shancai the food, harassed her and kiss her forcibly...MG 2018 is like a soft version of F4 (for me).
@@mariamarie9776 oh yeah I get it, that's a matter with the writing more than the acting tho, as I (humbly) see it.
MG 2018 followed 2001 version which also had the kiss (idk why they didn't take it out), I honestly hate that scene too. But as a viewer I'm overall fine because it was portrayed as it was (=something bad). And it was a changing point for his character, he made a promise to never hurt her anymore after that and he didn't. I see tho why some people don't like it (obviously), it's the way i (personally) consume media is 1- if it's "enemies to lovers" what's going on before they get together is the conflict part is gonna be messy and it's part of the story. My problem is if it happens while they're in a relationship already (for any kind of story really) 2- if written well what matters to me is if the characters learned, changed and if the final message is good. Then I'm good.
(Again this is how ~ I~ watch and read any stories. Everyone has their own preferences)
But anyway, writing aside (which people may not like this or that), Dylan Wang acted REALLY well the nuances between being a "villain", being an innocent idiot clueless man and ALSO being the love interest. He gave all those nuances. Some moments in MG had me laughing out loud, just as Hana Yori Dango and just as F4 does now.
I think Thyme is not an easy character to portray (for the actor - again, writing aside) and in BBF he didn't have all the nuances that belong to Domyouji/Thyme/Daoming Si.
@@romanticblossom For me all F4 leaders portray their character well in their own way (just a matter of preference) but Bright/Thyme is very close to the Manga Character and I just want to say that Dylan really did a good job on his character. What I like in F4 Thailand is that the supporting cast have a good storyline and dialogue especially MJ character...let's be real some F4 members and the supporting cast in the past versions is like a display and bland characters.
PERIOD GIRL...that's what I've been saying. Doumiouji has never needed to be "fixed", because that childlike impulse that he has, is such an important part of his character.
That's why they are portraying him so well in this version. They are telling you, that his attitude and behaviour can be changed for the better, but that you have to try to accept him for who he really is too.
And I have the same thoughts about the Korean version too...you read my mind.
Also, PERIOD about Gorya thinking in her head "wait a minute, why do I have feelings for this guy? It doesn't make sense, how can I like such an idiot" (I'm saying that in the most affectionate of the ways).
So as soon as he puched Tesla, she went on "defense mode" and rejected Thyme, not because she didn't trust him, but because she's experiencing all this, she doesn't understand why and not only she's taking it out on him, but she's trying to find a reason for herself to reject the thought of him in her heart.
@mariamarie9776 The forced kiss is following the manga, and there it was even worse. He forced kissed her, pinned her down, and started taking off her clothes and kissing her neck.
This is the first version where I am fully on Thyme and Gorya ship...I love Ren but I DON'T WANT HIM WITH GORYA
I really like Thyme's outfits and hairstyle they are unique and interesting...he looks so good in that though...that shirt is really nice ...
If we talk about Korean version , there Jihoo wasn't sure that whether Junpyo was sure about his feelings for Jandee that's why he just tested Junpyo by flirting with Jandee and getting close to her for a while although he did fall for Jandee but much later, I just hope here, Ren is doing the same..that would eventually help in making Thyme and Gorya's relationship more stronger...I just hope that in the upcoming episodes when Thyme will go against Ren they don't show that toxic bullying by the other students towards Gorya.
I think that Ren's feelings for Mira are the same as Gorya's feelings for Ren. Both developed feelings for the other person because they were saved by them. In Ren's case, Mira helped with Ren's autism and feeling of exclusion and in Gorya's case, of course, Ren saved her during the whole red card period. So it is understandable why both fell for their 'saviors' as their first loves. I think they are going to dive into what each of the characters actually want in their partners in life and why, to be specific, Gorya is Ren's true love and Thyme is Gorya's true love.
In short, I am excited for what's to come.

There is a saying in my language (turkish) that I think explains Gorya's situation in this senario. It's "Istemem yan cebime koy"
The translate would be "I wouldn't want it, put it in my side pocket"
It's used when someone, out of multiple options, can't exactly decide which one to choose, but they're afraid they'll lose the others when they choose one, so they keep going back and forth between the options. I think Gorya rn is really like this.

1) every change Is Dangerous and not tolerable (from mother)
2) everyone can change (from Tia)
So thyme Is always in difficult because he have a lots of feelings but they are improve only by his sister not by his mother.
Gorya Is a change for thyne and he is confused for that. So it is important that he tried to be kind for Gorya... And now Ren ok has saved her but also he flight away for mira first!
So we have to understeand Ren and Gorya feelings but also the greatest steps that thyme do for Gorya.

Ren going after your friends girl is a big no for me be it ofc or not, Thyme practically announced it to the world that he liked Gorya while you never did.

Just wanna say that I don't think it's right of Ren to court Gorya when he already knows Thyme likes Gorya. As a best friend, he should know his boundaries and should talk with Thyme first. I mean, if I told my childhood best friend that I have a crush on this guy and I want to date him but then she begins to flirt with him I would be pretty pissed off too. It's not like Ren didn't talk to anybody in F4 when he was in France. He must have known about Thyme and Gorya going on a date and how Thyme is getting serious about her. He shouldn't say sentences that confuse Gorya ("I hope I'm not too late", "Are you the same in all aspects, because I'm not." "Should we date behind his back", etc) There are comments like Thyme knew Gorya had a crush on Ren but still pursued her....but did Ren have a crush on her? No right? He was in love with Mira, so it wasn't both ways. But in the case of Thyme and Gorya, we can see how Gorya's beginning to like Thyme and Thyme's already in love with her, so that automatically gives Ren a reason to stay in the friendzone. (not talking about the hug at the rooftop scene) Thyme could easily misunderstand the situation, and as much as we say that he should communicate with Gorya, given his character, it must be hard for him. Let's not forget how Gorya previously lied to him about meeting Ren and about the phone which could have already given him the idea that Gorya likes Ren. All these scenarios including the rooftop scene made him flip out because Gorya is a girl he's opening up his heart to. So of course he feels heartbroken.

AT THIS POINT KENT IS THE PRESIDENT OF TEAM REN AND RENGORYA SHIP. I'M HERE FOR IT. I think at this point, ren is just trying to know gorya's stance. he may or may not feel something but atleast that'll let him know if he should continue going for gorya or not. he ain't in the wrong for doing so since gorya and thyme aren't a 'thing' and gorya makes sure to let him know too. also, ren ain't the kind of person who'd continue to go for a person who isn't interested or sabotage his bestfriend on purpose, he'd side step and support them once he knows gorya doesn't feel the same. I think the school confrontation would finally end f4's fight.

It was clear that she didn't consider him has her boyfriend and it understandable he understood. The issue is the lying Gorya should of know that Ren could let Thyme's that he saw her at the bus stop no need to lair cause, you didn't go looking for him and on top of that Thyme's sister could of told him I saw Gorya today and left her at the bus stop come on now. Ren is hurt at this point and is doing stuff he shouldn't do in his mind (like the saying go One nail takes another nail out) so Gorya being the person she is could replace Mira. And him in his feeling is not considering Thyme's feeling at the moment. I wonder with the Drama going so far if she would find out why Thyme's beat up her friend boyfriend I feel it might get overshadow. Last the friendship here is very cute and the way they try to keep Thyme's grounded.

its not weird for gorya to fell in love with ren because ren is the one who cares about gorya even before thyme knew her .Dont forget that the first time gorya was being teased by thyme. and almost of the students in the school bullied her is because of Thyme. And then there was only Ren who came to help her. Don’t you remember what thyme did to her? she got bullied by thyme like cutting her shoe that was a gifted from her parents, almost got rapped by those three stupid jerks but luckily ren was there in time to saved her like if ren was not there gorya could get bullied by those jerks and that was not okay! At all ~. I mean to be real will you forgive those who bully us? a person who cut/destroy your special gift from your parents? F4 Thailand Rant LOL: I love Thyme, too. But it’s the way some of y’all forget how Thyme terribly bullied Gorya and it shows lol. And we all out here saying “Ren’s being a bad friend.” This Ren bashing just to defend your favorite ship #ThymeGorya is what allows the media to romanticize bullying in the first place.
I think it’s fine to express opinions and have educated discussions, but I can’t stand seeing reasons like “Thyme is cute and precious” and “I love Thyme so I am team Thyme” like what lol. It’s like some of y’all forget the first part of the story and the trauma Gorya went through because of Thyme.

The reason why a lot of people are team Thyme, is not because he's suddenly cute, so they excuse all his past actions at school...absolutely not.
I never forgot Thyme's behaviour and I get why Gorya lied to him, even if lies create more lies and trusting him, should be a part of the process to make him get better.
That's why, when she says that she hates violence, but pushes him and throws the badger at him, she's basically denying Thyme the chance to explain himself. Also, someone like him, would think "there's no hope she's gonna see me as a person, she doesn't want to trust me, are all these efforts useless? Maybe I really can't change".
For him Gorya's opinion is the most important, she's kind of a role model too and her telling him that he will never change, that he is the same violent person he was before, makes him really think he's hopeless.
If we could make a comparison, Thyme would be similar to a beast that has to be tamed and Gorya would be his owner/master.
In order for him to be tamed, we have to start by understanding that he's never gonna change completely, his nature is impulsive, he can learn patience and behaviour, but some parts of his personality must be accepted by Gorya too. That's what people don't get.
Thyme is never gonna lose this aspect of him. What he has to do is finding a balance between this "beastly" impulse that he has and his self control...that's what he's trying to do through Gorya and that's why she's so pivotal in his development, but she's also responsible of his degression...
Whoever says that Thyme is wrong for being mad at Ren and Gorya in this episode and doesn't have the right to, is just someone who doesn't want to accept the truth and that despite Thyme having a bad attitude/reputation, he still loves his friends and holds people dearly in his heart, so that must have felt like a betrayal, doesn't matter if Gorya is not is girlfriend. It's about principles and they both were acting sketchy behind his back.
Seen a lot of comments defending Ren and Thyme but in all honesty, both of them are not worth to defend. Saying Thyme is the worse and that he is a bully will not justify Ren as he is a bully also. He's part of the group, he's watching everything and he didn't even bother to stop his friends, so don't say he's any better. Also, I know there will be a plot twist here including Ren but if we set that aside, what he's doing is wrong, and no it's not because I'm siding with Thyme, it's the way he's playing with and taking advantage of Gorya's feelings to him when he's not really in love with her, he's just using her to make himself feel better and because he thinks that Gorya is a copy of Mira, from their attitude and beliefs. Also, if he really likes Gorya, he can court her, it's not bad but he needs to talk to Thyme and no, not because he needs to ask permission, that's not it, Gorya and Thyme is not a couple and he have every right to try and claim Gorya- but because he needs to respect Thyme as his friend. That friend of his is in love for the first time and him liking the same girl which Thyme also suspect that likes him (Ren) is not good. Saying his feelings to him and explaining it will soften the blow on Thymes side. Another thing, if I am Thyme, considering how I grew up and how I always act, I'd be really mad and heartbroken too. He's just starting to open himself and release his true personality and yet he felt like he's being played at, worse with the first girl he took interest with and his best friend so whatever he may feel that time is understandable... he's not bad for feeling that way. About Gorya's feelings for Ren...I think it's more of a gratitude or adoration, like the term suspension bridge effect. Ren has been there all the time when Thyme is giving her hell and he felt some sort of gratitude and attraction to Ren because he's her protector and I'm pretty sure she didn't like him that way, not to the certain part where she really wants to claim him as his man. Anygays, both men are toxic but we're always blind to red flags aren't we?
