Honestly, this episode was the best till now solely because there were so many problems that they ACTUALLY addressed in this version than the other versions. We are witnessing CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT lacking big time in other ones. Characters are talking and clearing misunderstandings bruhh. I am excited but also kind of sad because I know what gonna happen in upcoming episodes buttt I hope they make some changes and not make it a cliche like the pacing and everything is on point infact the story is a bit different too sooo🙏🏻😌

Clearly, Thailand is trying to make this show more then a bully falling in love with his victim. This is the first adaptation where the male lead has most growth and the storytelling is so straightforward where there is no frames wasted. Its understandable that people dropped this due to the classroom scene but this show isn't completely about bullying, its a coming of age story which no other version has accomplished in telling. Props to the Thailand for putting so much depth into the stories. The original creator should be proud of what Thailand has created. 10/10 for this storytelling.
I think those who chose to not watch this entirely shouldn't have a say because this show is not like the other versions, that isn't fair to the true meaning the show is conveying. Don't judge a book by its cover...
other version is much worse tho like the Male lead harassed and kiss the FL forcibly...in the classroom scene you see Thyme's about to cry means he hate himself that he can't control his anger...

This is so true!!!
Thyme has Impulse Control Disorder which is why he goes off so big, especially at the beginning of the episode. Because if/when he gets triggered, he will find something/someone to take his emotions out of. In this situation, it's mostly anger, which is caused by frustration and self-insecurity. He thinks he's been fooled by the two people he cares SO MUCH about. He thinks he's been weak for showing his true self to someone just because he likes/loves her.
the scriptwriting was doooone sooo well. i got goosebumps on the way bright delivered his lines when they were at the front of the stadium
The mvp of epi7 is Bright Vachirawit hands down. His range as actor 👏👏 He managed to deliver every emotion of thyme so so effectively.
You guys appreciate MJ's leadership although he is a mafia but he always have a sweet spot, sudden action, and judge the situation responsibility and reasonably!❤ Kudos to F4 Thailand characters
The most frustrating thing is I can understand all the characters but in the end, they're still wrong. Thyme acting this way is unacceptable act but it is narratively important to the plot and it will serve its purpose on the future episodes. There are some things I want to mention:
First, Thyme was not mad at Gorya for lying, he was mad at himself coz he's reverting back to the person who he is that Gorya was afraid to, and it connects to his sentiments the he hates the Thyme who uses violence to solve every problem.
Second, the most messed up thing is Thyme's mom is mad coz he got caught not because he did such things.
Lastly, I would recommend to the viewers to watch F4 Obsessed, it's a deep dive review about the episodes of the drama. They review the symbolisms and other things. It's fun to hear different kinds of perspectives.
EP 7 is realistic - it really depicts that 'change' is easier said than done. It's not something that happens overnight. It also shows that Thyme has still 'a long way to go' to his journey. This episode also connects to what P'Tia said in the previous episode that“Being something you've never been before or doing something you've never done before is not easy. It's not something that just happens.”
I want to applaud the writers who took time to build these script and they approach it with the touch of realism.

Oh yeah, I’ve been bouncing between these and the f4 obsessed deep dives too. I cannot fully get on board with keeping neutral with thyme and babying him simply because he has trauma. His story needs to be understood but I really need the show to have gorya address the way he was about to hit her. We’re seeing thyme realise things himself but gorya is silent about the most unexpected things.
Plus, I get the whole mechanisms of them learning how to match pace with one another but I really don’t understand the foundation of this relationship? Thyme went from bullying her to giving her a makeover as an apology to asking her out to having her shave her head to once more insisting he’s her boyfriend. I don’t see a consistent shift in his motivations or what made him want gorya romantically at all. And likewise for her, there was no moment where anyone asked her what she wants, it’s just him pushing onto her and her either resisting or relenting. Thyme played the self-pity card and acts like he’s entitled to her affection if he makes the changes, chases her like some prize.
This show definitely explores the “how” of thymes journey very well. He consciously struggles, deals with his shadows, compromises and negotiates. Takes responsibility, even. And that’s great. But so much of the “why” is shaky to me.

This episode pay off all the peoples said ren didn't think about thyme's feelings at all, i knew he always thinking about thyme's feeling since they were kid, also about his feeling to gorya, i think deep down he's kinda interested for her and maybe potential to falling in love soon or later, even his feeling already there before mira left, mira once said to gorya that ren always talking about her which means he was kinda interested to her but he didn't realize that yet because also his love for mira, but after back from France he's kinda realize maybe he could be falling in love with gorya, but before did that he just wanted to know what gorya's feeling for him, that's the reason he always asking about her feeling for him or thyme, because he didn't want to get another hurt feelings if he love gorya but she's not and it's true that she's love thyme more, i also kinda feel that deep down he's still has a little feeling for gorya but he chose to let gorya happy with thyme
Wow i just love your reaction and discussion afterwards. I love how you don`t judge the characters too harshly in this series, but instead tries to understand them.Especially our male lead Thyme.
It is really fitting that F4 beat the crap out of each other in the same stadium that they used to bully others. The same Court they used to judge others on a mythological perspective. Then Thyme closing the stadium afterwards and finallly cancels the Red Card once and for all. We also have Ren looking up at the sky, seeing four shooting stars which symbolizes the end of the Court for all of The Four Flowers. A significant change in their lives.
When you mentioned him not going as far as to raise his hand to hit her in the other version I think in the 2018 version he kind of forces her to kind of kiss him and then when she doesn't want to he raises his hand as if to punch her but ends up punching the wall, the equivalent in the Korean version I think is Jun pyo trying to force a kiss on her as well
In the manga he threw her to the ground and ripped the clothes off her and forcefully kissed her mouth and neck. That was such a horror scene.
It seems that thyme already knows in his heart that he Will Be wrong things and Gorya Is the flicker of the positive thyme. And so he Is begin to change!:) But inside he s already knows that he was a jerk so...Is not that Gorya Will change Him, they know each other and they grown up togheter.

Gorya wasn't flustered but rather awkward about it, when Ren reminded her of why he thought she liked soy. So I think that Gorya not eating the soy food and drink Ren bought for her already shows that she was not accepting him romantically. They wouldn't have had that lingering shot of the untouched food otherwise.

I'm gonna say this just to piss him off but... at least the guy thyme was beating up was the dude that almost ab*sed Gorya on episode 1 HAHAHFHFHDSFGSDKJ
okay but on a more serious note, I'm glad Dianna shared her experience (with anger) cause this really is an issue for some of us, specially growing up and I think many people that watch F4 stories (not just in this reaction i mean...in general) sometimes just think thyme is a bad person and no redemption and nothing excuses and all that but all of us have some really ugly sides sometimes that we need time to deal with and change. And it's important to believe that we can get better, we can change and deal with that (I also have some anger issues i need to work on and I have worked on over time, i suppose). Of course in stories things are exaggerated (as they should be sometimes... to drive the message home more clearly and also because we love drama LMAAOO)
I also love that in this version they made things more clear about Thyme changing. Although i do think the message is the same in nearly all of them (i don't like the BBF remake specifically on that aspect tho), here they made it explicit. Personally for me the main character was never trying to change the main guy, it wasn't like she was activelly pursuing a relationship and getting hurt on purpose. It was always about the main guy being fascinated by this person that embodied all the values that were opposite to his, and changing his views - by himself - because he realized he loved that. Her influence is a HUGE and important thing for him, but at the end of the day he changed because he wanted to and she was only accepting him with time, as he was changing his worst sides (not all cause we all keep some of our flaws obviously).

I got so much to say about this episode but no one's gonna read my long ass paragraph so let me just Start with Thyme.. i know alot of ppl being hating on him for going off like that but that's just what he is.. we're in for his journey we knew from the frst episode how he is. So i think the frustration was built up and fhen it went off until he couldn't hold it anymore. Which makes this character wayy mote realistic for me.
Also in that moment when he asks gorya to say That she hates ren. Its the same as Hana asks him in Ep 5 to admit He loves her. But not admitting that to her made him realize of his feelings so in this moment he automatically concludes that she's in Love with Ren.
Ahhh This episode was just sooo Amazing and intense. I'm just obsessed with the Choice's the director and the writes are making🙌♥️🔥
Yeah agreed. It's only natural Thyme making mistakes (and the audience ofc being disappointed) because the story is following his development so... we gotta hold on for this ride until he gets his character arc complete (which is admitely fun okay ashfgdsjsd)

I always love re-watching these episodes with you all. Thyme screaming was super intense... but then in this episode you see that he was raised by the biggest bully of them all. His mom didn't praise her kids, she used fear. Also, not sure if Thai version will be different for Ren have feeling for Gorya... he did warn Thyme that if there was a next time, he was not going to back off. Loved Kaning & Kavin's couple revenge scene... more simpler than the Korean version. BTW, I am also loving the TikToks of Bright and his TV "Mom"... they are too cute. Till next week!! Cheers!

Thyme being toxic is all because of his mom. Just like how Thyme said, ever since he was born, he was pressured and taught that he's the best and that he's special compared to anyone, he's above them all. He also said something like, the more he fear that he will lose everything (power, respect, fear of others) the more he's hungry for power. Tell me, who do you remember with that line? His Mom. She's so scared that her empire will collapse that she got more ruthless and hungry for power and wealth (remember the scene about Tulip Mania). Also, if any of you noticed, Thyme's Mom keep pressuring him about *going back to his old self* while Ren said *turn back from his old self because he's in the right track* . Another thing is, when Thyme said, I want you to accept me (Thyme) not Paramana (or smth like that) is so deep because he knows, he (Thyme) is different to him being a heir of a big empire as being a Paramana turns you into a beast always craving and living for power. It's like he's a different person and he knows it, Thyme being the carefree, innocent young man who's craving for love and warmth and Thyme Paramana who's raised to be a ruthless monster, taught that he's above anyone else. This might be a risky claim but above all versions, this might be the best one, in addressing real life problems at least. They are bringing Thyme's issue into a better light so we can understand where he's coming from, why he's like that and just how toxic and loveless he was raised. This version shows what kind of a mom his mother is, compared to others who only make viewers understand that she's the villain and she's the hindrance to their love but never really show how she affects her son causing him to grew up that way, struggling to control his emotional and mental well being because of too much pressure.
Also, I feel so scared to Thyme in the start of this episode. His anger issues is so scary that if I'm in Gorya's place, I'd definitely break down out of fear. What I love though is that he's starting to realize his mistakes and try to straighten himself up. I just hope this version will make him heal while in a relationship with Gorya, like trying to get help and controlling his issues and Gorya supporting him. This would be more realistic and will never romanticize this kind of people or situation.
thyme, I think he's a complex character, if you get him you like him, if you don't get him you don't like him or sure you can not like him anyway (DISCLAIMER!! I will not justify his actions nor agree with them, I'll just analyze his character and share my thoughts)
Thyme is the type of character that as soon as you see him you think "oh no he's the handsome asshole piece of shit that she's gonna choose anyway" which he is but he's a lot more too. I think it's really easy to see that thyme in reality is a good person with a big heart, even tho he doesn't show it he cares deeply about his friends, about his sister and even his mother since he literally created this whole asshole persona just not to disappoint his mother and to prove her that he's not a failure, he himself said that he hates the kind of person he was and what he did just to prove himself that he could have at least one thing under his control, which shows that he was self conscious about himself.
I agree that thyme needs help with his anger issues but is not something to bash him for, actually I think it helps making his charter more realistic and relateble in some type of way, he was never thought how to cope with is negative feelings, his mother basically neglected him his whole life, his sister is not at home, and it's not like she could do much because of their mother, his friends just let him do what he wants, before gorya no one really told him "no, stop, what you're doing is wrong" and told him why was wrong.
I understand how he felt in the latest episodes because he's constantly under a huge mental pressure, on one side there's his mother that brings out the worst of him on purpose, "go back to your old self" she said, because it's more convenient for her own business and he doesn't want to disappoint her, but on the other side there's the first and only girl that he ever loved that brings out the best of him and makes him want do do and be better, and yes as Ren said, thyme is one the right right track, he changed a lot since the first episode, and his growth it's very realistic, we can not expect him to become some type of saint just like that especially since he was used to be how he was his whole life, growing and learning from our own mistakes takes time but he's getting there. As for the last episode that came out I had different feelings while watching but first off I don't think he got mad "just because the girl he likes doesn't like him back" like some people are saying because he already knew and accepted it, I believe that right there and there he felt frustrated, he was lied to and misunderstood by the girl he liked but was able to put that aside and try to reach out to her and explain himself putting his ego aside (which he never did before) but seeing her with his best friend snapped something in him, I think he felt somewhat betrayed? I don't justify the way he basically used that poor dude just to take out his anger, and I believe that gorya should've just let him go, because yes he was creating a mess in the meanwhile but at least he was leaving and isolating himself and at the time he was bottling up a lot of his frustration but having her basically screaming at him and pointing the finger at him only built up his anger made him rage, and honestly I understand that type of anger, when we're that angry we all say and do things we shouldn't be doing and saying and the fact that he was about to hit her shocked me but I felt somewhat relieved (?) after when he didn't because the fact alone that he stopped showed me the he knew he was wrong and he shouldn't be doing that, and I don't know why but part of me believes that if it was early episodes thyme, he would've not hit her but pushed her or something, again I am not justifying him at all, and I don't agree with his way of doing most of the things, I just understand him, I'm a huge over thinker and that cause me to over analyze everything and everyone, and I feel kind of sad when people assume that just because you don't hate thyme you're some kind of delusional delulu that likes him just because of his looks, there might be some people like that out there but let's not generalize, some people knowledge his wrong doings they simply don't bash him for it because at the end of the day we all make mistakes, in the show every single one of them made mistakes, and the main problem is the lack of communication but that's the point of the whole thing, growing, learning from your mistakes, communication and understanding are the base of this show.
I did not even read it but yes i agreed Thyme is not for everyone; He is for genius people only.
And to the guy supporting Ren, I 'd like to ask that if your best friend act the way Ren did with Thyme to make you realize or admit your love to your crush/date, will you be Ok? Will you be OK if you see your best friend and your crush(PS: You'd talked to your best friend about your crush already) hugging and flirting around.

Ren is not that much of a good friend imo. He is not sacrificing either. Gorya developed feelings for Thyme, so practically as of now ren doesnt have any chance with her. Also his approach to make thyme confess was umm a bit lame when thyme clearly showed to f4 that gorya is special to him.

There's just only thing I wish we could see. It's that even for a little while, Thyme being his old self, maybe worse ver of himself, after the talk with his mother. I think it would be a good way to show the audiance how serious this is for Thyme. Because it's not just about not being choosed by Gorya. It's feeling betrayed/fooled by his best friend and the girl he loves, feeling of "I'm not enough" because he tried his best but still wasn't accepted by Gorya as a good person, being manipulated by his mother, pushing away his left friends because of his anger, him going nuts for "just a girl", "losing his power" over people close to him.. It's all leading to the meaning that his mom being "right" about everything.
Lol MJ did have a lot of lines in the other versions except the Korean Version...
Remember him in the Japanese version with those weird sisters of his, in the chinese version where he had a love interest, and the taiwanese version he had a looooot of lines...
Plus Kent and Christine, do y'all remember Kavin's story in the other versions, if you do, you will know why that dude is a player...
And the female leads like Shancai and Makino did not tolerate Daoming and Domyouji's behavior at all,and called them out every time...Plus those male leads character development was awesome...Remember when Domyouji told Makino "You are the girl I approve to be with Rui"😭

Gorya may not be in a relationship but whether she means to be or not, she’s messy. Especially considering the people, personalities, and friendships involved. All of which she is aware of.
But like when ren said "I won't back down twice if you're on the wrong track again" its clearly foreshadowing what's gonna happen in the coming eps which Ren will start to develop feelings for her when thyme left to New York its the same in the hana yori dango the Japanese ver but clearly gorya already fallen for thyme and it's too late for Ren. The fact that Ren will always be there for her after this:( my man deserved better😔

Was waiting for you guys!! I honestly hated the FL in the Korean version because she was constantly screaming and it annoyed the hell out of me because i could not understand why the two main leads cared for eachother and did not see the match (i much rather enjoy the Japanese version when it came to the relationship between those two). I'm glad they showed how Thyme relapsed into his old self because it's realistic. People with Impulse Control Disorder do not heal and manage so easily because of one person(they can be inspired but not cured like that). I've seen it in different cases (Med student here) where people with this disorder usually develop this condition at around the age 3-5 years old. grow up without a support system and an abusive household that goes unchecked , undiagnosed (some have a subtype called conduct disorder which leads them to be antisocial...aka psychopaths) and have a lot of problems with the law later in adulthood and it takes a lot of years to constant practice to help them. Thyme is lucky that he has money to keep him out of jail and his best friends that act like a safe haven for him. So without proper help and consistent work towards finding healthy outlets to let out his anger (not like the one his mom suggested wit that stupid arena or red card) he wont be able to be stable most of the time and i hope they address this issue. Also...he's 19....if this was an adult he would need to be checked in and it would be wayy worst.

I believe they either spent whole night talking or she stayed out with him till later and spent the night at Kaning's place... and just because it's not shown, doesn't mean Thyme didn't apologise to her... they could have talked pretty much about everything.

@@huzaima2816 yeah well what can we do....I mean it's even implied here, when Gorya is treating Thyme, she's half way done treating him, meaning that they did talk during that period. I mean it was same with Hana's situation, just because it wasn't shown to us, didn't mean that Thyme didn't explain everything regarding Hana to Gorya. Even during that scene in ep3 when F3 were sending Ren off and Gorya was with them, I'm pretty sure they took her home as well. and some sort of communication did happen between them, but for us viewers that is just implied, not shown.

I think Ren will fall for her, it’s already foreshadowing in “In The Wind” music video. But, from my perspective he kind of start to develop feelings for her in this episode, but he just keep it. Unfortunately, he will fall harder in the future😔. My poor Ren.. His character must be really hard to play, Dew can’t talk too much but he need to make people feeling his emotion. As a result, people interpret his action differently lol.
and for Thyme character, I don’t have any problem with it because that how Thyme is and people can not change overnight. Me as an adult can understand what the writer try to deliver. But, the problem is the younger audience. I am afraid they are not critical enough to think about the depth of the story.
and I think I need to say this. If this happened in real life, I can’t be like Gorya. I prefer to quit school and runaway. lol

I'm not sure if you guys rewatched or anything but Ren did say he backed down for Thyme this time. So that meant he actually had feelings for Gorya but stepped aside to save their friendship. Sorry to break your heart again Kent :(
Ren actually realized Gorya has feeling for Thyme and that's the only reason he stepped back.

I saw in a comment in last weeks episode that Ren fell in love with Mira because she saved him. Apparently he has autism which I don't know if it's true or not but I do remember him saying that she was the first person that talked to him and introduced him to the other three. I don't know why but when I read that it made sense for him falling in love with her and is also the same as Gorya crushing on Ren because he saved her as well. Now that I saw this reaction I realized Ren told Thyme "But if you choose the wrong path again, I won't back down for you for the second time" after their fight. Which means Ren does have feelings for Gorya but decided to back away for Thyme. Ugh but with all the drama in Thymes family I'm scared what Kent said in last weeks reaction will come true of Ren going to try to get her back because Thyme won't be able to handle the situation with his mom. This is me just worrying about the F4 friendship, I could care less about the couples. At the end of the day those four guys all have their issues with their families/lifestyle which is why their friendship is so important to me because they only have each other. That was very clear when MJ was so stressed out trying to save their friendship this whole episode. I connect to their friendship in a personal level that when your family is so messed up & you can't keep a relationship friends are all you have to keep you sane.
Actually this version of gorya is similar to tsukishi in manga even thyme is also similar to manga tskukasa charecteristics (like being idiot and childish) but the live action version butchered their charectors i mean they did bad job in fl charector writing then 30 year old source material even though the anime is drag it represents charector aspects better

9:05 in the other version the fight between gorya and thyme is worst, in most versions he kissed gorya without her consent and in the manga( the book) thyme try to r*pe her, but in the end he stoped. That's why i could never fully like thyme, because i know all that he did un the book.
Japanese and Thailand version didn't follow that scene tho.
If it were possible I would like to know some opinions on this: I understand what Ren wanted to do but it could have gone wrong. Gorya could have fallen in love with him. Supposedly at this point when Ren doesn't like her. In a way it looks like he was playing with her feelings.
I know she and Thyme are not in a relationship so it was ok, my issue is the fact that Ren doesn't like her. Or did I misunderstand and Ren was never really flirting with her?
Exactly since Gorya was in vulnerable state at that moment. And i don't think anyone would accept easily in real life if your best friend act the way REN did with THYME to make you to admit your love to your crush ( PS: You'd talked to your best friend about your crush already).

@@zzzgful In case you havent noticed, Ren actually likes her and that explains him buying a new sketchbook and drawing again. They went on a lil date to have fun, and they did. Also, theyre literally friends. He always protected her from thyme's games before 🤷♀️

Even though it turned out Ren backing out and saying everything was a lie . I still think he took the wrong path . We can clearly tell from the beginning that goyra was special for Ren not as a first crush as Mira but still he felt something . After Paris he started flirting fake or not it was still not honest . So this instigated and triggered thyme’s change process . REN’s action for me are too convenient 1. If it works then thyme and goyra will admit their feelings ( however after triggering the change process and knowing about Thymes mom he knows that chances for that relationship is low ) 2. If it doesn’t work out then Ren will have his chance cause he’s not indifferent to goyra and we can Tell when he starts drawing again in their date and also when he said to thyme that next time he won’t back down . Ren knows he’s late now but for me his approach is two face and convenient. Either way that “fake flirting and closeness with goyra“ will come out with answers and path for him to try to get goyra sooner or later .
