They don't make art books like they used to...Chris and I were just in the book store Monday and we were remembering when we wrote Acrylic Solutions. Those were the good ol' days for sure! What a lot of people don't know is that I didn't want to write the book! Chris told me I was crazy and that we needed to do it. 😊
Thanks for introducing me to these books. I am an absolute beginner, and have only just found you, you turned up in my TH-cam stream this morning. I am a Glaswegian too,and find it fascinating that Scottish artists seem to attract me most. I will search copies out.
Hi there and thank you for taking the time to comment. If you like Scottish art, Charles Rennie Mackintosh's watercolours are definitely worth checking out
Very nice discussion! A good reminder to look at more than just a device. I also buy fridge magnets! I have also started affixing small magnets to art business cards I collect (as well as my own.) I do like the way you talk about art making and look forward to more videos.
Hi and thank you for taking the time to comment. Devices are great but nothing beats a well-loved book which travels with you through life! I'm really happy that you are enjoying the videos, thank you for watching!
Ahh that Acrylic book looks fantastic, exactly what I’ve been looking for. I went to my local town library to look for art books the other day, and was sooo disappointed. They gave about two thirds of a shelf to the entire subject, individual artists, history, and maybe one book on actual painting which was floral watercolours. Isn’t that sad!
The acrylic book is great for beginners, I highly recommend, especially if you're just starting out. I know what you mean about the two thirds of a shelf, sounds very familiar... I perused alot of shelves like that until I found what I was looking for!
Thank you for that. “The Collage Workbook” looks like a fantastic resource. In fact I went straight on EBay and found one locally (Australia) for 30 Dollars ( about 15 Pounds). A bargain I reckon.

Julie it's still one of my favourites!

Love this! Have you got any paintings of England🏴💪
Not yet but maybe in the future!
What’s with the hands? It’s very distracting
Loved your review and a glimpse of your painting surface….. art in itself ❣️
a few years ago that was my dining table!
