Gabi, this is the first time I've ever seen one of your videos and I actually tried it myself! It's the first time I have ever cut my own hair in my entire life and I'm 44! I went extremely conservative because I didn't want to ruin anything. So my layers start about chin level. I really like it. Thank you so much for great instructions!

I usually hate home haircutting videos because they seem too complicated or talk about things I don't know, but this is great. I'm actually going to try this and your directions and explanations are so good that I'm eager to try instead of anxious to try. Big difference! Thanks so much!

You're amazing! I have hair that is very similar to yours and I just spent $300+ with a new stylist who told me what a bad haircut I had... he took almost nothing off because he wanted the layers to grow out but he left me with nothing framing my face at all. I just used your technique and my hair looks amazing! Now if I could only learn to color my own hair! :)

OMG! I just cut my hair according to your instructions. I have shoulder length layered with a side fringe style. It’s been a while since I got my haircut and so I felt the layers were too long and did not work with the fringe. I was super nervous and felt like I’m totally screwing it up, panicking about how bad this is going to look and how my hairdresser is going to make fun of me. When I finished, I quickly put my hair in a pony feeling relieved that at least I can hide my uneven disjointed haircut. But then I decided to blow out the wet part I cut, and to my incredible surprise it looks fabulous. By following your instructions, I incorporated new soft layers right where I want them! To be honest, I’m happier with this then when I get my hair cut at the salon. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your videos are really nicely done and you are beautiful to watch. 😊 🙏

I'm new. And I just watched your "I'm not ok" video. Thank you for sharing. That was hard for you but I did learn some things from you. Our words are SO important. We can either crush someone or build them up. I'm sorry you have endured criticism. My husband is a Master Craftsman. He had a client last year that he had to fire. He is 59 and has never seen such unreasonable demands. Asking stone to be without flaws is one example. God made this stone (countertop), and there is beauty in the flaws. I think the world is changing and people feel they have every right to "express" themselves. What ever happen to "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say is at all". I also appreciate your commitment to your followers. Trying out this products before giving your approval. Thank you for your character, convictions, and kindness to all who what to receive it. You also have a legacy with your Grandparents. You, my girl, are blessed. Thank you for allowing us a small peek into the "behind the scenes" . I will pray that you know you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Your Heavenly Father made you and gave you these gifts and talents to help others. YOU ARE A BLESSING !!! Thank you for all you do.

You are such a lovely person. The new studio is gorgeous. Your simple explanation is a major confidence boost. I’ve been trimming my ends for years but always feel too intimidated to try this attractive style. Previous tutorials have been way too complicated to follow.
My hair is shoulder / collarbone length with short bangs, wavy , silvery with a bit of natural blond ( I’ll be 67 this month but don’t really enjoy short hair). This small update sounds perfect. I honestly feel like I can do these face framing layers now. My question is - should I wait until my bangs grow at least below my nose ? Currently they reach the bridge. If I try it now , I’m not sure where my guide point would be. I wear up- do’s , half up do’s , pony tails and still want to continue. I’m in Georgia with summer’s heat and humidity. I’ll be very appreciative for your help.

I have very fine blonde hair. As with most blondes, I find myself pulling the sides forward to give more 'oompf'. Do you find that when sectioning the front / back, going a bit more behind the ear (as opposed to directly behind the ear) as a guide gives more bulk to the front and sides? Most stylists use the ears as a guide, but it doesn't leave quite enough for those of us with very fine, very light blonde hair.

Great content. Be careful of the round blow dry brush. My hair was obliterated by one- not overnight but over about 9 months until I woke up one day and realized the quality of my hair was greatly diminished to the point it all needs to be cut off. I have fine hair, too, but enough of it. The blow dry brushes put tremendous heat on the hair like a very hot flat iron.

I've been cutting my hair very similiar to this, now I know some good tips,
I use a curling iron afterwards. ,& a straightening iron in some spots that are to wavy. I layer all my hair bc my hair is very thick.

What do you think about using the brush hair dryer on gray hair? I have a regular hairdryer, but only use it in emergencies since I’m afraid heat will turn my gray hair yellow or green. Is the one you used here more gentle on hair?

If you do have much shorter bangs should you connect the face framing to the bang?

Wore long layers for years with a lot of curly/frizzy hair and it helps so much! Velcro rollers could replace the hot ones I used back in the 90s/00s. I wish that roller dryer existed back then! My big round brushes gather dust now, just too hard after a shoulder injury and my blowouts with a roller brush used to wear out my stylist!
Got used to not getting haircuts during covid, so have the longest hair of my life in my 50s! This will help me get some movement back. Nownif you could show us how to cut the back ourselves...my spouse is too scared! 😅

I LOVE this haircut and style! 😍♥️ Plus, your video is so easy to follow, so thank you for sharing! 😘 The only question I have is how do you keep from getting static when you use the Velcro rollers? My hair is color treated and dry, is that causing the problem for me?
