That is because she was having to explain everythjng in detail for ppl didnt know how to do the cut. Thank you for showing us a way to simplify the haircut. I have done this cut on my hair minus the texturuzing
I love how you make each hair cut so simplistic. Thank you for the step by step instructions, demonstrating on both sides of the head. I truly appreciate you!
Back in the 70s, we used to reference to “wispy” layers as “feathering”. We’d say, “I want my hair feathered.” I always thought I looked best with a bit of “feathering”, and I’m so glad it’s back in style!
@@pattymillerkidd9234 Me too! My hair is more on the coarse/thick side and the feathering used to help with easier styling. But my stylist doesn’t want to give me those layers bc she said it’s too “70s” looking lol. I have to try and convince her 😉
Why do i feel the one you did before was way easier. i did cut my hair with that one turned out awesome. now i have out grown it found this one and THIS IS DIFFICULT but i will try ❤ Thank you for the detailed video
Yes! I would very much like a tutorial on the blow-drying. The other butterfly tutorial you did, where it was blow-dried so perfect. I don't know how to do that at all. Thank you!
Such a tried and true classic haircut! You demonstrated it perfectly! So many hairdressers were not taught this in todays beauty schools, and it is truly a lost art. Today we are mostly left with un-even,very heavy areas left around the face and very unhappy customers that are constantly looking for a new hairdresser Thank you! I'm still in the the market for one in the my Picayune Ms area that also doesn't charge an arm and leg but still can deliver a fantastic classic haircut!
Thank you SO MUCH! This was so clear, so easy to follow. Results came out great! And this is from a person who honestly does not usually like to follow instructions :)
I actually just corrected by watching you a small area that looked like a wing after washing my hair from a hair cut yesterday. I'm awful with hair just a tiny snip as shown by you great improvement!! Thanks!
thank u so much ❤ its people like u that make life much more enjoyable! i love learning :) thank u for taking the time to teach us, some could argue that if u teach someone else how to do it then u are going to lose clients but that actually makes me appreciate u even more! i unfortunately cannot afford haircuts where i live cause it’s actually extremely expensive (im not in the US) so ive been cutting my own hair and my mom’s for over a decade! i love learning new techniques :) i hope you have lots of clients and subscribers
Thank you for making this much easier to understand even if you were talking weird today as you put it lol you visually made this easier to understand. I'm almost done with cosmetology and I love learning new techniques for everything men hair cuts and "new" trends that technically have been around just a new name lol this is what I call the "Ferrah Faucet" haircut lol
Thank you! I'm a big Moroccan Oil gal, love their Strong Hair Spray. I also love Loreals Tecni art Infinium Sprays, both 3 & 4 are great. A lot of people love Kristin Ess Hairspray and she has a great price point as well
Question, could this same method be applied to a side part? I have a natural side part, it's about even with the inner edge of my eyebrow for reference. Do you think I could do this?
thankyu sooow much ive been try it on my hair the front layers,, and tats amaaaazing ... lov how u explain it step by step... love from indonesia ❤️🥰🥰🥰
Me too! I definitely want to see a blow dry! BTW, I'm a very new follower of yours, Summer, and I have to say I LOVE YOUR CUTS! 😍 You're so precise and you explain it all so well, thanks for this!
I would love this haircut, but how do we know if it’s an appropriate haircut for hair texture as older women or thinning at the temples? I don’t wanna lose a lot of length. I finally grew my hair out but I have no movement when I asked my stylist for face framing layers. She just cuts a small angle on the front, which really does nothing.
Would this butterfly layer cut work for naturally wavy/curly hair? I mostly leave hair natural but when I do straighten it, I want it to look like this.
I noticed after you made the first cut in front (the twist then twist again bang) that your first over direct cut immediately following that …. Then you cut into the guide. Was the first cut straight down (twist twist) just to basically get the bulk out rather than obtaining a guide? Tia 😊 Love your channels!!
Also I know about twisting the hair in the front and what that does…. But what is the purpose of twisting your fingers in other parts of the haircut? I notice you say “twist” a lot before you say “cut” I never learned twisting your fingers … is that a technique? And what does it accomplish? Thanks so much
I thought it was best to cut hair dry instead of wet. I mean, i used 2 always cut my hair wet but then I was told 2 not cut it while hair was wet bcuz the cut will end up being shorter then expected. How true is that, if @ all that is.
This is off topic...but I would love it if you could show us how to cut Ruby Rose's short hairstyle. She has a pixie but the longer bangs and crown hair makes it look nicely feminine.
This is by far the best tutorial that I have found! All the detail that you share is critical to getting the look. Thank you so much!!!!
That is because she was having to explain everythjng in detail for ppl didnt know how to do the cut. Thank you for showing us a way to simplify the haircut. I have done this cut on my hair minus the texturuzing

I absolutely love YOUR haircut! This length suits you so well!

Good morning i like your technique..and your scissors! Where i can buy it?😊 Thank you for all yours tutorial😊
Hi Summer! Does this haircut look good on sb with a round face and big forehead? Btw great video
You can do it but it would be best to customize it more so had some length to the face and reduce width in the cheekbones.
Would this butterfly layer cut work for naturally wavy/curly hair? I mostly leave hair natural but when I do straighten it, I want it to look like this.
Yes , Please show the blow dry for the butterfly haircut . Thank you Summer
My hair has alot of wave to it. Could I round brush dry this out and look like this?
I love your hair cutting method! I’m definitely following you. About your hydraulic manikin, that’s really cool. Whats the correct name of it?
