Hi Tina, Soph from Equi-N-ice 👋 Thank you for including us in your vlog again this week! I’m so glad they arrived in time for the weekend! Lovely to see you using our bandages on Banksy. Fabulous day evening for you. Banksy definitely enjoyed coming out of the start box for sure!! Soph x ❄️
Thanks for the tip on the camera. Have been looking for one for ages and overwhelmed with choice. So I’ve just ordered the one you’re going to put up at your stables for back of house. And the discount came in very handy!! Plus they ship to Ireland from Germany so no pesky import costs to Ireland!! 👍👍👍
Your vlogs are so joyful, Tina. Thanks so much for sharing. I smiled all the way through this. Having been very unwell this last year, I am not always able to watch or, at times, comment. It's great to see you having fun. Banksy looks fantastic & you rode so well. I look forward to your next event. Thank you for the sunshine you bring into the lives of your followers🤗❤ Your friends are also really lovely - Suze, you are a star🎉
Love it Tina! I also love that you can look back and analyze the things you did well and the things you can work on. I do think the 100s will be better for Banks. He can surely do it and the size and speed needed is closer to what Banks wants to do anyway. Let him move on and he will do wonderfully. It doesn’t mean he can go out Willy nilly. But constantly trying to make him slower just isn’t beneficial for him or you. It will help his rhythm and you will feel more confident too. Well done on a great vlog and can’t wait to see the 100!
Love that you’re able to spy on little man easier… precious cargo you’ve got to monitor when no one around 😊 what a lovely day out at another 😮 new venue. Nice you were able to split up your drive time and Banksy seemed to enjoy his very large accommodations. Dressage had nice work in it. XC was fun and looked effortless. SJ was challenging I believe due to warmup conditions. Busy area short approaches and minimal space for gear changes. With all the busyness of warm up and deeper sand footing he just sucked back a little in cautious strides. He opened up once you changed gears after pole. Well ridden ma’am. Remember even when “competing” we are still training. 🧡
Lovely to see you and Banks having a great time (even if that pole was frustrating!). Looking forward to seeing how your BE100 goes, and being able to let him go a bit faster
I don’t know what BE rules are but in the US I circle before the last fence when I’m up on time. I make sure to say, ‘not presenting, circling’ to the fence judge. USEA rule is that you can’t slow down between the last fence and the finish flags.
Hello Tina, I am watching the video of your handbag opening. If you think that is a lot you should pick up mine. The thing weighs so much that I jokingly call it my Port Manteau . Believe me your lovely bag has not much in it compared with mine. I loved how well both you and Meg did at Badders. Next year the pair of you will stand side by side in front of the house. Your fan Jane xx 😀🧑🏻🦰❤️👍🐴
Love watching you and Banksy, you’re always so upbeat and to see both of you enjoying life is great. I too have a skewbald gelding who is 18, but apart from the odd fun ride we stick mostly to hacking, so I get my thrills watching you two 😂
Hi Tina, just finishes watching megs vlog , banksey is reddy to go to a pony party. Em just do your best with all you do. 😊👍💟 YES mostdefenutly go as camarer lady . 💟💟 YOU follow the coulers for your level , dressage 30-5 wow 👍 s-j 4f ) 😊 x -c next Well done clear xc. Take care and all the best. And a big thank you to Suzy ,for all her help. 😊😊👍👍💟💖
So good to see you out and about to new places. Nice to see Claudie again. Love the new security camera. I'll have to check that out as I'm looking for one for the outside of my rv. Maybe they have a solution.
Great event and video. Banksy knows his job so well, and he can teach those younger horses a thing or two! I felt he wasn't quite 'flowing' during XC, but it still was a great round. I think I need a cooling bandage for after my spin class....😂
That was me trying to make him go slower and it wasn’t fun, can’t say I enjoyed it. Won’t be doing it again just to try and keep a rhythm… would rather trot for 30 seconds instead…. Or just do 100!!
Great fun watching you and Banksy Tina your so confident now it’s great to see you so happy. Suzie is a great friend helping you she’s so sweet just like you. Tfs🤗🏇🤗
Dinks is supremely adorable! How about taking just him for a little walkie? He has a very important job as number one companion & loves the attention. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Tina, I agree with you that Banksy looked a bit tense in his back. Not so fluent in SJ warm up. I think you felt a bit lost with no trainer because you had a lot of support and intensive training prior to and during Badminton. Remember what you have learned. Have a new goal to aim for eg. Qualify for Badminton again. I love that you are so upbeat and that you and Banksy continue to have fun. Good luck 🤞
I only carry my "Mom Bag" when I am going out with my husband and or my boys and husband. I have various sizes of "Mom Bags" depending on the occasion. Thankfully, I am down to 1 son at home, but I do usually end up carrying wallets, phones and or headphones, earbuds and the occasional portable power banks. 🙄 Otherwise, I carry a wristlet wallet, or a nice small barrel bag, or crossbody.
Train like you're showing, and show like you're training!! Something to keep in mind, Tina. You need to remember when Banks is feeling tense, going into show jump, maybe try to keep the same canter rhythm. I think that fence 4 you knocked down was because you had list the canter rhythm, and Banks rushed it, because of his exuberance and he got to deep, and you had list that canter. Because, after that, you kept the same canter all the way through, and Banks didn't touch another fence. He didn't even come close to even rubbing one!! Something to consider. Just my own thoughts and opinions on your show jump round, Tina. Because, cross country, once you realized you were holding him back, you let him travel on. Which was the right thing to do. And you even said, in the lorry going home, that you shouldn't hold him back until after fence 3. Had you not realized it, you would have finished on a higher score than you did. And I'm chuffed that you're going to do a 100 course!! That will slow Banksey down. It will also give him a bit more of a challenge for his brain and calm him down some. I'm also chuffed that you've already got lessons booked in before the next event. That will be good for you both. Your friend, the Retired Paramedic and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 🇨🇦
I am the first to wave all my hands in the air and wave a big yes to Belle. You came so far and did an amazing job. But… I bought a horse I could “grow into” and I felt over horsed . I would have been lost without being based on a professional yard with help at hand. If you feel input you can get the support 100% go for it. I also think the horses in Europe (I bought from Holland) go through a lot of change in a short space of time and they get quite lit up. 6 months of Cornish hacking and being kept on a small private yard being looked after one to one would probably really chill her out and let her grow up .
With your issues with the focus on the other lens, I'm wondering if it could be to do with focal distance, you say that you have to hold your arm out a fair bit just to get your face in shot comfortably, I'm thinking maybe it has a focal distance which could be longer than your arm
Could not stop laughing at how keen bean Banksy was!! 😂 you could have just sat there with your arms crossed on the cross country, he knows (and loves!) his job backwards and forwards these days. Also great to see you so keen bean to do 100s!!
Well done Tina and Banksy. West Wilts is our local go to, always well run although your SJ warm up looked a little chaotic which I don’t think put you both in the right zone. A good training and learning session done ✔️ x
It certainly made me feel small… not sure why but I defo shrunk in there. Tbf I always say I prefer jumping on grass when eventing, maybe that is coz the warm ups are generally larger xx
Omg Tina, by the title of your vlog I thought you were retiring him, thank goodness all is ok with Superboy, you need Cam's voice on a loop when you are going to show jump lol, well done, shame about that pesky pole xx
Maybe Banksy partied like you guys did (that stall was massive!) and was just a bit sore and tight the next day. ❤ You both looked great and love seeing you two out eventing. I always look forward to your vlogs!
oh my, I definitely have a bottomless handbag!! My mom is always nagging me to clean it out, but ten minutes later, she's asking me for something from there lol!
I generally follow DR David Marlin or whatever he's called and he thinks those equi 'n' ice wraps are pointless. I hope they do the trick though and Banks' leggies were nice and cold after use. I had the socks years ago but only used them once as they were such a faff to pull over the hoof and one caught on my horse's clencher and ripped so I deffo advise against those haha. Please do keep us updated on how you feel they go or if they don't :). Great vlog as usual T xx
Im going to a arena soon but my loan drags his had down and runss me into the wall do you have any tips???? Also i love that banks is back out after badders, congrats on 10th by the way that must have took lots of work xxx
Team looking great. No idea why but Banksy, for what ever his reason, was nowhere near as fluid in either the showjumping or the Xcountry as he was at Badminton. Just didn’t have the same flow. But beautiful as always.

What a great vlog really enjoyed watching and woop woop to stepping up to 100.And so that mean badminton 100 qualifiers for next year. Exciting.
