Feeling extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to bring this precious ponio home and am sssoooooo excited to enjoy the journey of getting to know him over the next few weeks/months.

Oh, that's wonderful! I am so glad! I saw his post about selling him on and was so sad. There are seasons and reasons for everything, and your are just the person for Louie. Welcome home Louie. I hope you and Banksy have lots of adventures with Tina. Now you and your mom can go on hacks together.

I watched and waited for the surprise. Such a great opportunity for all concerned. Looking forward to following the adventure. Horses btw love nettles. Well ours do 😂. They are rich in Iron and Vitamin C and most horses will happily eat them out in the fields once they have been chopped down an allowed to wilt so they loose their sting. We dry them and add to our feeds as a free supplement. 😊

Such a nice new boy! His colouring is so gorgeous. Back in medieval, Tudor and into Georgian times feeding "tree hay" to livestock was very common. They would cut the new year's growth from a wide variety of trees and feed it either dried or fresh. Nettles are a fantastically healthy animal feed (and human!), they are extremely high in vitamins and minerals. They are great to collect for animals by using gloves then bashing them with a stick to destroy the miniature needles. Most horses will eat nettles regardless, but it's much more pleasant after a good smashing! I wouldn't restrict grazing on the trees unless it's preventing weight loss. Looking forward to seeing this next year. 😊
If I needed to take a break from horses, I can't think of too many people I'd rather have my horse with than you, Tina. What a wonderful situation for all! So excited to see this exciting new partnership. Plus, I always love your Mum's perspective. I watched from start to finish and would never think of skipping forward.❤

I think thats black Hawthorne Bush (it does bloom) and that's good for horses. But how exciting Tina and you're dead right, everything does happen for a reason. Lots more exciting times to com. He will have to meet Eddie n Spritey too. Beach rides and stuff. Yay !!

i'm 8months late (and watched the whole video to see the journey!) but WOW. seal browns have always been my favorite coat color and i'm a bit biased because i have a seal brown but holy cow Louie's color might be a new contender! those dapples and leg markings are GORGEOUS. 😻congratulations on him!! you look great on him 🎉

I hope your Mum will get back in the saddle. We must be the same age and there are times I really miss it after 22 years. Yes, God moves in mysteries ways. I've gone through this with woofers. Lots of woofs to Sam from Lady Emma Hamilton (Blk/white ESS).
I watched all the way through 1st time! Louie looks like a lovely boy and it so nice that it's a horse you already sort of know and that Tommy knows you too. Can't way to see what you both get up to!

Oh how lovely! I was very surprised when you started describing him and that we'd seen him before.... even more surprised that Tommy was willing to part with him. Hard to see without a close up bit It’s could be hawthorn blossom he is eating. It’s really good for them. Its great for heart and circulation and inflammation.

@@LifeontheLeftRein they are clever like that, not just eating what tastes good but also what then need. My big Irish horse loves it too, he is currently in box rest for an abcess so I go and collect it for him. The things we do for our horses 😂
The trees are really good for him.. it is white thorn really good for his digestion... Equilibrium do hedgerow bricks which is full of blossom and leaves... Also nettles really good for the liver.. I give my pssm horse what Louis is eating costs a fortune .. let him eat it.. natives know what to eat.. it's better than grass.

Leaves and weeds can actually be really healthy and full of minerals. Those native ponies often have a good feeling for what they need. He is gorgeous. Have lots of fun with your boys!

I’m so happy for you Tina, I loved Louie and Tommy on all star academy they were my favourite, welcome to the native rescue family, I have a beautiful strawberry roan mare I rescued her from world horse welfare. I’ve had her for 3 months now and I can honestly say she is by far the best horse I’ve had. She is so gentle loving and kind absolutely adore her to death and she is so smart. Maybe we could meet up as she looks a lot like Louie and she’s very friendly. Hope all goes well for you and Louie and you end up keeping him forever. Keep us updated and lots of luck and best wishes for your future.xx
