I could not believe when you held your lovely shorts bag up in the photo.... I was clearing out Katie's old stuff this week and came across her jeans bag she made with her friends at school!! I took it round to show her and said" see, you did enjoy sewing once" 😂. Yours is far superior though as she just sewed patches on with badges.

Thank you Carole! I'm enjoying the bag with the top. The fabric is stunning and I didn't want to waste the fabric on just hiding it in the lining of the bag so I had to make a bold top to match! I know the video is the longest one I've ever made but I put in chapters so anyone could skip around to the sections they are interested in. This bag was fun to make. Thanks for stopping by. Lovely bag. I love using denim clothes for bags. I get denim/heavy skirts from thrift stores, sew up the bottom, add straps and voila I have sturdy shopping bags. They work perfectly and can be washed easily.

The embroidery is beautiful! Love the bag! I'm looking at embroidery machines and wondered if you would mind telling me what your machine is?
I recommend the BabyLock or Brother embroidery machines with a minimum 5" X 7" hoop size. I have 2 embroidery machines: The BabyLock Spirit and my new machine in this video, the BabyLock Meridian2.
