It’ll be great as that McCall’s suit My bundle had little hand written stickers with the length and I found them to be accurate, if not a little bit of an underestimate in some cases. The Kwik Sew top is beautiful! I love the gusset especially. Such a thoughtful addition.
Whoever put that box together for you is a very thoughtful person. Yes, tunic with the linen panel. I had a swimsuit once with the deep cut style in pink and I do not like pink, but it was super flattering with a tan, slimming. If there is a little girl in your life she would love a swimsuit out of it also, one with a triple rufflebutt! And the knit with the dots, score!! Lovely swim fabrics. The pink will look great in swim suit amounts. But, you could use it as an accent color, too. Perhaps get some fabric in a coordinating color that you love. Also, it seems your mystery bundle is coordinating fabrics (nearly). Have fun. Cant wait to see it make up.

I absolutely love that Kwik Sew top and I was there when you bought that fabric 👏🏼🥰. I wish I had bought some and kick myself for not doing that as everything you've made with it has come out really well. Although I have a few patterns with the drawstring hem I love the fact that the ties are a bit thicker rather than the shoestring type ones, I need to experiment and make them thicker to match that. I had a peach swimsuit once that was sheer..... never ever again 😂😂😂. Well done for making one, that is one thing I always buy along with bras and jeans. Great box of goodies there and no doubt you will make some spectacular items from that fabric. When you held up the lace it matched one of the colours on your top 💚. Fabric Mart is fantastic you are going to be hooked once you get an order you will have a credit on the next one. I think the Navy would make a nice Lounge set for the fall and winter. I'm thinking you could put the pale pink fabric over the loud pink fabric as a lining. And the Border print would make a nice caftan to wear around the pool. I love Fabric Mart but I never order polyesters and very few Knits. I prefer renewable resources like cotton linen bamboo and I think polyester is just too hot. But I'm glad you're going to enjoy what you got.

I find that TH-camrs get better boxes than us normal subscribers. I stopped getting boxes for that reason. I like what I see watching videos and then get nothing as nice. Am I the only one that happens too?
That's interesting. Fabric Mart has no idea I have a TH-cam channel. I find that it's hit or miss. I've seen some TH-camrs received awful boxes and some receive great ones. I either lucked out on this box or they are improving. I just ordered another box because they had $1 shipping in the US over the weekend. We shall see. Thanks for your comment.

I love the coral and black, very Bali! I made a swimsuit a few years ago. All I can say is line, line, line it! My first one was so sheer, you could count body hair! Yikes…I know you will do your magic and make amazing things…I’ll stay tuned. ☺️❤️oh my gosh I have to get that pattern of the top your wearing…LOVE IT, I jumped over to Etsy and got it, yay! Thanks Aribella! Lining is definite. I have a plan of action. I'm not going to return the pink fabric or the peach fabric. I will make a mock of the New Look pattern with the peach and a mock of the McCalls with the pink fabric. I will try and perfect the fit. Then I hope to make the McCalls with the coral/black fabric and I just bought a tropical floral fabric from Joann's to make the New Look swimsuit. Stay tuned for my results in a few weeks! Oh thank you Kathy! That pattern is great. I forgot to mention that installing the gussets were the most challenging step. Other than that it's pretty straightforward. ENJOY!
I have that pattern, I think I might try to make it up. That green Lacy fabric, you could over dye with RIT Dye More for synthetics in one of the blues and it will turn a lovely turquoise.
It's a great pattern to try. I found the most challenging part was to sew in the gussets. But other than that, it's a good design. I cut a size Medium. Thanks for the dye suggestion.

(I lost count 😁) Great that you were able to get such a pretty top out of your left over fabric! I love when I can use up all of a piece of fabric too 🙂 I don’t mind at all if you show us makes from OOP patterns!
Hi Michelle, I don't think the swimsuit would be too hard to sew up, I'm just concerned about the fit. There are no finished garment measurements on the pieces. I plan to use the pink fabric for a mock to get the sizing right. Have you been happy with your mystery bundles? I hope to buy another one in a future order. @@sewlovelywithgrace Yes, I’ve been happy with my mystery bundles! It is so fun to get fabric I wouldn’t have considered buying myself. Of course I do get some pieces that I don’t expect I’ll ever use - but you never know!! Those are great for muslins if nothing else, so still useful in my opinion. I love the surprise of the mystery bundle, but I have slowed down ordering them because I am having major fabric overflow 😬 FYI - today Fabric Mart is having $1 shipping, so a 10 yard bundle would only cost $21 total (no tax either!). The $1 shipping is when I would buy all my mystery bundles, but like I said before, I have too much fabric right now (yes, it is possible!) so I am going to sit this one out 🙂

It *usually* is good for just one day, but the email says “for a limited time only” and not specifically for today only, so I’m not sure. I think you could make a square poncho-type shawl with that medallion fabric, for wearing when you go into some place that has a little too much air conditioning. The KS top you're wearing is really nice;the fabric print is perfect for. Wish I had that pattern. I may be too lazy to modify the other pattern that you mentioned.
Your fabrics were nice. 4 year ago I bought the $20 bundle and was very disappointed. It was couple of yards good for tops. Some were yards of heavy satin nude color fabric and ugly green fabric, donated it. Never bought again. But I do subscribe to “Julie’s Picks “ it’s $60 a year and you get a booklet every month of very nice swatches, only subscribers buy only. 5-yards limit per piece of swatch 1st week, after that you can any amount of what available I like to see and feel what a buy now. Oh she put a video out the week before you can see the bolts of fabric of the swatches.
Yes, that's what I was afraid of too. I enjoy the Vogue Fabrics swatch catalog that I receive 6 times a year. Each issue I get upwards of 50 swatches and it costs $30 a year for the annual subscription. I have 2 videos on it. It sounds similar to Julie's Picks.

First, thank you for watching and for your support! I really appreciate that. I got my dressform from FabulousFit. I've had it for over 10 years. I generally don't use it for fitting but mostly for draping. I need to readjust the cushions to accurately reflect my measurements. I do love it though.
Glad you liked your mystery box. A few months ago, I ordered some bottom weight fabric (for pants) from Fabric Mart and two out of the three selections were usable. Do all sewists experience disappointment when shopping online for fabric? I try to pay particular attention to descriptions; any suggestions for purchasing fabric online? Just FYI, looks like you missed catching part of your hem on your left flounce (sleeve). I admire your sewing skills with knits; so neat and professional. I have yet to have any luck sewing knits! Any particular tips for success?
I actually prefer sewing with knits because of the stretch. Sizing is more forgiving. I suggest using a serger to finish seams with knits and using a stretch or ballpoint needle on your sewing machine. I do get nervous ordering fabric online too. I suggest you subscribe to the Vogue Fabrics swatch catalog. You get upwards of 50 swatches in every issue and you can't go wrong when ordering fabric. I have a couple of videos on Vogue Fabrics catalog. Watch them for more information!
@@sewlovelywithgrace I just joined Vogue Fabrics last month and received the transitional swatches this morning. What type of stitch do you use when you sew knits? Narrow zig zag or a specialty stitch on your machine? Or do you serge the entire garment (not using a sewing machine) with a four thread serger?
I use a combination of the narrow zig zag and finish the seams with the four thread serger stitch. It all depends on the knit too. I got my Vogue Fabrics catalog this week and I'm putting it together today. Have a great day!

I find that TH-camrs get better boxes than us normal subscribers. I stopped getting boxes for that reason. I like what I see watching videos and then get nothing as nice. Am I the only one that happens too?
That's interesting. Fabric Mart has no idea I have a TH-cam channel. I find that it's hit or miss. I've seen some TH-camrs received awful boxes and some receive great ones. I either lucked out on this box or they are improving. I just ordered another box because they had $1 shipping in the US over the weekend. We shall see. Thanks for your comment.

I love the coral and black, very Bali! I made a swimsuit a few years ago. All I can say is line, line, line it! My first one was so sheer, you could count body hair! Thanks Aribella! Lining is definite. I have a plan of action. I'm not going to return the pink fabric or the peach fabric. I will make a mock of the New Look pattern with the peach and a mock of the McCalls with the pink fabric. I will try and perfect the fit. Then I hope to make the McCalls with the coral/black fabric and I just bought a tropical floral fabric from Joann's to make the New Look swimsuit. Stay tuned for my results in a few weeks! I have that pattern, I think I might try to make it up. That green Lacy fabric, you could over dye with RIT Dye More for synthetics in one of the blues and it will turn a lovely turquoise.
It's a great pattern to try. I found the most challenging part was to sew in the gussets. But other than that, it's a good design. I cut a size Medium. Thanks for the dye suggestion.

Hi Michelle, I don't think the swimsuit would be too hard to sew up, I'm just concerned about the fit. There are no finished garment measurements on the pieces. I plan to use the pink fabric for a mock to get the sizing right. Have you been happy with your mystery bundles? I hope to buy another one in a future order. @@sewlovelywithgrace Yes, I’ve been happy with my mystery bundles! It is so fun to get fabric I wouldn’t have considered buying myself. Of course I do get some pieces that I don’t expect I’ll ever use - but you never know!! Those are great for muslins if nothing else, so still useful in my opinion. I love the surprise of the mystery bundle, but I have slowed down ordering them because I am having major fabric overflow 😬
FYI - today Fabric Mart is having $1 shipping, so a 10 yard bundle would only cost $21 total (no tax either!). The $1 shipping is when I would buy all my mystery bundles, but like I said before, I have too much fabric right now (yes, it is possible!) so I am going to sit this one out 🙂

I think you could make a square poncho-type shawl with that medallion fabric, for wearing when you go into some place that has a little too much air conditioning. The KS top you're wearing is really nice;the fabric print is perfect for. Wish I had that pattern. I may be too lazy to modify the other pattern that you mentioned.

Your fabrics were nice. 4 year ago I bought the $20 bundle and was very disappointed. It was couple of yards good for tops. Some were yards of heavy satin nude color fabric and ugly green fabric, donated it. Never bought again. But I do subscribe to “Julie’s Picks “ it’s $60 a year and you get a booklet every month of very nice swatches, only subscribers buy only. 5-yards limit per piece of swatch 1st week, after that you can any amount of what available I like to see and feel what a buy now. Oh she put a video out the week before you can see the bolts of fabric of the swatches.
Yes, that's what I was afraid of too. I enjoy the Vogue Fabrics swatch catalog that I receive 6 times a year. Each issue I get upwards of 50 swatches and it costs $30 a year for the annual subscription. I have 2 videos on it. It sounds similar to Julie's Picks.

First, thank you for watching and for your support! I really appreciate that. I got my dressform from FabulousFit. I've had it for over 10 years. I generally don't use it for fitting but mostly for draping. I need to readjust the cushions to accurately reflect my measurements. I do love it though.
Glad you liked your mystery box. A few months ago, I ordered some bottom weight fabric (for pants) from Fabric Mart and two out of the three selections were usable. Do all sewists experience disappointment when shopping online for fabric? I try to pay particular attention to descriptions; any suggestions for purchasing fabric online?
Just FYI, looks like you missed catching part of your hem on your left flounce (sleeve). I admire your sewing skills with knits; so neat and professional. I have yet to have any luck sewing knits! Any particular tips for success?
I actually prefer sewing with knits because of the stretch. Sizing is more forgiving. I suggest using a serger to finish seams with knits and using a stretch or ballpoint needle on your sewing machine. I do get nervous ordering fabric online too. I suggest you subscribe to the Vogue Fabrics swatch catalog. You get upwards of 50 swatches in every issue and you can't go wrong when ordering fabric. I have a couple of videos on Vogue Fabrics catalog. Watch them for more information!
@@sewlovelywithgrace I just joined Vogue Fabrics last month and received the transitional swatches this morning. What type of stitch do you use when you sew knits? Narrow zig zag or a specialty stitch on your machine? Or do you serge the entire garment (not using a sewing machine) with a four thread serger?
I use a combination of the narrow zig zag and finish the seams with the four thread serger stitch. It all depends on the knit too. I got my Vogue Fabrics catalog this week and I'm putting it together today. Have a great day!

They vary. I've always had success with fit. The top I'm wearing in this video is a Medium with no changes.
