      @@FearMyLadyBits ...indeed...however...I'm getting the Too Good To Be True vibes from that story. Outside of Hollywood and prisons...seeing someone with a swastika tattoo is one in a million. Then...for the guy to be ashamed of it...back to proud of it...being around a military school? Being a Marine taught me that the white supremacy crowd isn't quite a good fit for any branch...as there are a LOT of not white people in the military...and a number of them will outrank you...and you're not going to get away with insubordination because you don't like the race of the guy giving you orders. To be honest...the whole story reeks of someone jumping on the "I fight racism!" bandwagon for likes. That...however...is just my opinion...it could be so...I don't know for sure.

      I had Muslim friends growing up who told me that their culture was to take the parents in and basically support them in their retirement age. Kind of upset me as one guy's shoes were tearing, but he had to make due cause his grandparents wanted to upgrade their 3 year old TV.

    • @chaosincarnate7304
      @chaosincarnate7304 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Maninawig I mean that's the least they can do for their family, although I don't think it's allowed in Islam for abusive parents to manipulate their children and force them to live a certain way that is not aligned with the teaching of Islam, so I think either he's just being too nice or he doesn't know how to stand up to authority without disrespecting that authority.

    • @Maninawig
      @Maninawig 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chaosincarnate7304 aside from stating that it is by far not the least he could do, the other Muslim that heard that agreed with him and acted like that was normal. It could also be a mix of cultural thing as both are African as well, I really don't know. I do know he quoted the commandments, specifically claiming it was under Honouring one's parents, which I have seen many use to fuel entitlement in all judeic religions.
      However, the thing I was upset about is taking such a sign of respect to such an extreme means, and the parents (the person I talked to's grandparents) taking advantage of that possibly due to having their parents do it to them (as those understandings are often passed down)

    • @chaosincarnate7304
      @chaosincarnate7304 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Maninawig Yeah honestly it sucks, but if they don't have any complains about it or aren't bothered by it then let them do that I guess. Also honoring your parents in Islam is a very important thing to do and not doing that is considered evil in Islam, because your parents did everything for you, your mother had you in her womb for 9 months and when birthing you she suffered great difficulties (in the old days) so parents are considered holy. In Islam Heaven is attained under your Mother's feet (Metaphorically). Obviously Parents aren't considered holier than God and His Prophet (PBUH) so it's an obligation for you to disobey your parents if they stray on the wrong path.

    • @Maninawig
      @Maninawig 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chaosincarnate7304 as I said, honouring one's parents is sacred in any Jewdaic based religion (like Muslim), though the understanding of "to honour" has been subject to great debate. For instance, some have interpreted it to mean to always do as a parent asks, regardless of if it is dangerous, illegal, or immoral. Others have taken it as a lifetime of servitude where the parent is entitled to gain graces on the merits of their children's accomplishments (either by forcing them into a carreer, demanding free labour and supplies to refurbish a house, or implied consent to lease them out like one would lend a tool).
      While I do agree it is quite vertuous to show respect to one's parents for all that they have done for you, I disagree with the concept that the debt starts before the child was born (especially when things like FAS are a thing) and should be shown in equal measures.
      Just as we are given the right to sin and the wisdom to resist that temptation, a parent is given the right to be honoured, but should practice the humility not to rely on that honour for earthly gains.
      But as you said, it is up to them to decide how to interpret such rules.

      Likely, they all listed themselves as separate households if married, as all are adults. The unfortunate thing is, address doesn't really matter, as if you apply for SNAP, you have to have AN address, any address. The behaviour can get them blacklisted, but all they have to say is that it's their transient location, and present separation papers to social services.

    Story 5: If husband acts the same way at work, he won't be staying in that position for long. And the wife will be enjoying the last laugh! In my house, there is only one trump card as to who brings stuff to whom. Whoever has a cat on their lap always has the right to ask to be served as long as the cat is there...and as long as the cat was the one to climb up there herself (no cheating by getting the cat and putting her there in order to be served!). I had the opposite thing happen! When I lived with my ex BF he got into medical school. The ambulance company he worked for said that his new availability [2.5 days] wasn't enough to keep him on even part time and he started delivering pizzas. He could not hanfle the sudden demotion from EMT to pizza guy and the associated lack of respect he got from customers. Meanwhile, it seems like people were getting on his case because I was the manager of 3 locations for a regional business and easily made twice what he did. The abuse was all verbal for a while, this same sort of "you need to make food I like, clean, etc." And he even got a dog against my wishes [he took a survey dog vs cat of 10 people and tried to use that to justify the surprise dachshund with behavioral issues he "got for cheap because he's older." In that neighborhood my white ass stuck out and I was not walking a dog when I got home after dark in my work suit. Might as well just throw my purse out the window. It was fine before sundown, but seriously.
      When it got physical I left. Asking and guilt-triping a woman until she says "I just want to go to sleep" is not actually consent. He could keep the broken bedframe [he never hit me, it was still abuse] but I took every single thing I paid for - left him with games but no electronics to play them on, some plates and forks but no spoons or anything to cook with, etc. Oh, and our wifi was a cheap Hotspot modem that I bought, so I took the whole internet too!

I mean, if they'd all come in separate vehicles, benefit of the doubt - massive lay-off at a factory where many of the family worked at - possible - or if the younger ones were all adults, they could say "We were all coming here anyways, so we decided to save gas." Plausible. But for the unlisted member to complain, along with the rest.... ruined what little goodwill one might have.

We had one grandma yell at the marines bring out the black bag full of gifts for one child saying both her and her daughter signed up so where is the other bags they told her the rules basically the kids only get a certain amount of gifts each and we only go by one applicant not both she was so livid she turned red lolz oh well her family has now been put on the black list because of that stunt and her attitude.

    I well know the scammers. They make it so much harder for those of us genuinely in need--as well as for the people that generously want to help those in need. The burnout among Social Service workers is phenomenal. They can't do as much as they'd like to help people that are honestly in need, then they have to deal with both the scammers and the entitled jerks that often get more than they deserve.
    One time I listened to one client give the worker unholy hell because they couldn't give her this, that, and the other. I came up next and said, "Let me guess--they want you to make sure you use Charmin when you wipe their ass, right?" They needed that laugh...
    I make sure to *always* thank the social workers--even when they've had to tell me bad news--and let them know I understand how challenging their job can be. They don't hear that enough.
    Our safety net in the US is definitely NOT what it should be, but I am more than grateful for every bit of help I've received, and try to pay it forward whenever & however I can. There are a lot of real good folks out there.

    Story 5 reminds me of my parents. My dads job is in construction and my mom works with special needs children at an elementary school. She is basically the only employee there who can really handle the kids and treat them with respect simultaneously. My dad doesnt take my moms job seriously and thinks he deserves all the special treatment from her because he "works harder" but i personally think my dad would crumble under the stress of autistic meltdowns and changing diapers for kids who are tall enough to dunk on him. My mom is really good at her job and she works just as hard as he does but he doesnt always remember that.

    Mr Assistant Manager ‘s wife needs to go on strike. Remind him of the contract that they took when they got married ; part of the contract says … Love, honor and cherish. Acting like an entitled clown isn’t honoring or cherishing his family at all. Since HE broke his marriage contract she will refuse to cook, clean, or do anything for him until he apologizes. If he won’t listen to reason , I’m sure a lawyer will be happy to explain how much child support costs. I pray that your husband gets over himself. The last story kind of reminds me about my ex-husband.
    He was in the U.S. Army. He's smart, so I encouraged him to take college classes. He took what's called CLEP tests (College Level entry Program) and did so well that he CLEP'd out of his Freshman and Sophomore years! I was so darned happy for him.
    Until he began to gloat and lord over me about how smart he was, while I was "only" a stay-at-home wife.
    I was livid, but thought about it for a few days, then professed an interest in what the actual test looked like.
    He gleefully went to the person in charge and asked for a copy 9f the test to prove that he is smarter than I.
    He brought it home and I sat down at the table to work on it. Honestly, it didn't seem that difficult, so I just assumed he'd brought just one part of the test. Meh! Whatever.
    Two days later, he came home and handed me a sealed envelope with my name on it. I opened it, bracing myself for miserable test scores.
    But, no. I'd done well. Really, really well. So well, in fact that there was a letter included, encouraging me to attend college, that I'd likely qualify for a scholarship.
    I silelntly showed my arrogant ass of a husband. Hie froze, then his face fell.
    He then admitted that I'd done better than he had. I just smiled.
    With all the horrible things he did until I finally left him a few years later, he at least never called me stupid because we both knew the truth.

    Story 5: I personally think there's a divorce in order. If that's how he treats her over a promotion at his job and has had 3 weeks to chill out and go back to normal then clearly he isn't the great guy she married. And I get some marriages aren't perfect. But when a parent/husband stoops so low as to be not only negligent of his own wife's feelings and physical stress, then forcing a child to play by themselves in their own room and to be quiet as if he's some great king. This kind of behavior without consequence leads to more stuff happening and entitlement like that can probably get physical and since the police nor the law can do anything until after something has happened it's best that OP either find a way to settle his new attitude or leave him and take their daughter with her.

Since I have an uncommon condition, it's rare if I don't have a student in on or doing my appointments. For the first story. I believe a lot of the anti Nazi restrictions and such in the military were dropped because of the manpower shortages after Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't know if they were readded afterward, but for a while they removed a lot of those restrictions because they needed more people and knew resorting to the draft would be disastrous.
