I have several MGC non-blowback guns. 439, 745, 645, tons of 1911's. They all work perfectly and still look good today. I've been retro-fitting them with marui barrels and hop. Sure, they are low powered, but the hop up makes them actually usable. MGC probably made the best NBB's compared to today. I have also been working on Marui 1911 hop conversion for Magna R-type Western arms 1911's. I used a 3D printer to make the new chamber with r-type chamber dimension but the capability to fit Marui hop and barrel, with TDC style adjusting. It's not perfect, but one day I will have it right. It needs to be printed in metal, though. As PLA is not a very good material for anything related to a barrel.
My favorite gun to work on when I used to do repair work was the WA STI Infinity 7.0. The gun was absolutely beautiful. It arrived in a ziploc baggy in pieces.

Sounds stupid but would using Crosman pell-gun oil on 12g Co2 be good for the longevity of the gun? It’s a way of piling all seals without disassembling and disturbing them, was just wondering about the hop rubber and if it would reduce the effectiveness of the hop
The KSC is a working unit. Well so am I! Smells of tobacco, well I guess that is a smoking gun! Goddamn, my GHK 553 Mag got dickered by just itting in the box. What I've noticed though is that the mags do tend to last better if you keep them in a plastic bag since it sort of works like a hermetic seal and the o-rings dont dry up. I you get some acrylic clear, either gloss or matte varnish you may be able to stop the rotting of the plastic since I beelive that is a oxidative reaction, I may be wrong though. I also think considering the gas issue of the mags mightbe woresened by the higher pressures in the higher pressure gasses that will give you more wear and tear on the seals and the mechanism. That MGC looks more metal than a lot of real metal guns today, you really get an appreciation of theworksmanship and finishing of these early Japanese companies. Wich brands do you consider are ok today? I've heard good things about Specna Arms, but I guss since they are so cheap they automatically get a good reputuation since you get alot for what you pay. Western arms lent their Magna system to a few other Japanese gunmakers back in the day. MGC and Tanaka are two that I know of. Did you know Tanaka produced a line of Glocks? I used to own a G34.

The first guy is right, the beretta museum has the ones with the 3 small cutouts. The ones with horizontal vents are mostly seen in movies, and some real 93 had them, but they were custom made. The vast majority of existing 93 has the 3 small cutouts, which I have to admit I am not very fond of.
