That could be a result of any number of issues. Sorry can't just reset it without having fixed the underlying issue. Best to get it checked by a mechanic.
Where would I put water in a 2007 infiniti M45? my radiator is busted unfortunately, and one of my mechanic buddies said I could put water in it to see if that keeps it from overheating so I can drive it a few miles to the shop.

That is the coolant reservoir. You need to add it there.

There is no way to check the transmission fluid. The transmission is sealed for life. However if you like there is a way to flush the transmission fluid if you like.
