Fairbanks: Alaska's Golden Heart

In August of 2023, ADC visited Fairbanks, Alaska and talked to community and Army leaders about how they welcome service members and their families to the arctic. What we found was a community committed to ensuring military families have the support they need to thrive in Interior Alaska's beautiful, but at times, challenging environment.
The Fairbanks North Star Borough is a 2023 Great American Defense Community, a program of the Association of Defense Communities, sponsored by USAA.
