Mary Jane Jernigan - Defense Community Champions 2023-2024

Mary Jane Jernigan from the Chesapeake Science & Security Corridor in Maryland was named a 2023-2024 Defense Community Champion by the Association of Defense Communities. Jernigan is a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, Maryland state president of the Association of the U.S. Army and president of Freestate ChalleNGe Academy Foundation. The Defense Community Champions initiative, sponsored by Navy Federal Credit Union, recognizes individuals who make a difference on local installations, in communities, and across local governments and industry.
