Currie's 31 spline CTF (Cut To Fit) 9" axle shafts provide 4 axle lengths, all with 4 inches of spline length. Up to 3" of this spline length may be cut off to attain an axle length between 23" and 32" and still have adequate spline engagement into your 3rd. member. All CTF axle shafts feature high-performance induction heat-treated forged alloy steel construction. Wheel bolt patterns are dual-drilled for 5 on 4 1/2" Ford and 5 on 4 3/4" Chevy, and an access hole is drilled. All CTF axle shafts come with a full installation package, which includes one set of five 1/2"-20 Ford style wheel studs, one set of five 7/16"-20 Chevy style wheel studs, one set-20 tapered roller bearing with race, seal, & collar, and one heavy-duty late model large bearing style retainer plate.

These look like a great solution for my rat rod build. What's the narrowest axle tube you can use before you run out of splines? My car is really skinny so trying to keep my axle tube around only 42 or 43" wide. I plan on cutting it down tomorrow but i want to have some axles lined up first
