My issue is that the quality of clothes has gone downhill extensively. I still have items I got from torrid in 2006 that are in great quality, meanwhile the items I've bought recently literally fall apart or get runs and pills in one wear.
Torrid has had a price increase with a quality drop. They're fast fashion with boutique prices. I love many of their items, but having to try to grab things on clearance is frustrating.
I really wish you’d have shared what sizes you ordered the items in. It is especially helpful for a store like torrid because I am familiar with their sizing and would be able to know how we compare to shop at other stores you try clothes from
Yes! That’s the main reason I watch Plus Size hauls, so I know what size to order! Even when the creator is a different size, it helps me see how the sizes run. For example, if she’s a 4X and the clothes run true to size in that size, then I would order my regular size. If she has to size up or down, I probably would too.
I used to shop at Torrid every chance I got, but then their clothing started looking like costumes and I decided I wasn't going to waste my money anymore. I'd much rather shop at Target.
I’m 100% with you on this. I use to love checking out the new drops every 2 weeks on payday at the mall. It was a fun experience a lot of plus size girls miss out on. But I feel like one day I showed up and it was Mickey Mouse, skulls and horrid Pinterest quote tees in thin jersey material for $45 a piece. God forbid you turn a corner too quickly and snag your top or place it in a washing machine more than 5 times. I’m so selective on what I get from them now. If I can see myself making multiple outfits from the piece then I can justify getting it. But with their price increase you won’t catch me buying Walmart quality for $50. 😕
Me too. I love Target. I guess because I'm a little older and just want some pieces that are comfortable and pretty. It doesn't have to be super stylish because I'm old enough to be comfortable in my skin (about clothing style, I'm not comfortable with my size).
I'm so glad that you did commentary in the the clothing pieces after you tried them on! This is definitely my favorite format of your content! I know you said you didn't want to keep that first sweater dress, but I REALLY liked it on you. I even thought it looked super cute at the bottom even though you said you'd sew it closed. Very flirty and preppy and effortless. Looked very chic with your low pony too!
@ Alaysia Young I agree I was thinking about buying that neutral lounge set she bought. Her commentary while wearing the lounger convinced me otherwise. Although tortured I am still looking for a pretty lounger so if people drop by I am not wearing my old sweats.( cause that’s what I am wearing) 🙄
I love that you added the commentary while wearing the outfits - I’ve missed that in your past hauls. Torrid is hit or miss for me, they could use an update (please no more florals), but I do love their jeans and the tiered maxi dresses.
I am neutral on Torrid. I get basics there mostly but I long for the Torrid of the early 00s. It was plus-size goth & pin-up heaven. I have no idea why they went straight cheese. Like you could buy jeans but if you were feeling wild, you could get a cherry print corset and some flame print creepers….like they truly had an alternative and basic fusion going that I, an old person, miss.
I love Torrid. It's actually the big fast fashion brands that I don't really buy from, like Shein and Boohoo. I do always look for sales or clearance but I do that with everything I shop. I appreciate you going back to your old format of video. I really like when you discuss the outfit or item after you've tried it on. Oh and as far as big and wide shoes go, have you tried Ashley Stewart, Avenue and/or Maryland Square? I'm pretty sure they all carry wide shoes and have sizes at least up to 12 (because it's what I wear). Take care and big hugs, k
I used to LOVE Torrid. The sizing was consistent with things like jeans and the black pants I always bought. I could walk in pull what I needed (for years), check out and go. But no longer. Once they moved to the “first in size” motto/mission it all went out the window. And thanks to the pandemic I have about 6 pairs of jeans I’ve ordered, all the same size and none of them are the same actual size. There is about a 3-4 inch difference from the smallest to the ones that actually were true to size. Now I just ordered a size up and hope they fit.
Torrid was the first place to sell jeans that actually fit me! I literally cried in the fitting room because for the first time I didn't have to size up 4 sizes to get them past my thighs(and then the waist doesn't fit). I happened upon Torrid after spending hours in Gap and Macy's trying to find one pair of jeans that made me feel good. So I'll always have a soft spot for Torrid no matter what. I am not ashamed to say I own 60 pair of their jeans and several hundred t-shirts 😄 Edit: I would wear the heck out of that black jumpsuit with a wide belt and sandals for Spring!
I love Torrid.. Especially the clearance. I do see a lot of plus size women trying to squeeze in clothing from places like Rainbow.. Shein.. Rebdolls.. the clothing is not the correct size even if it’s a 5xl.. I feel Torrid sizing accommodates a lot of different plus size shapes rather than saying something is plus size in a 5xl that is not true to size.
I buy my sweatshirts and my jackets in a 3X, I love the being wrapped in the material! I wear a size 14 jeans, but I love everything just a bit oversized, my tshirts have to be a good bit bigger!! I love the super soft tshirts from TORRID!! I really love your TORRID haul!!! I also like your shirt you have on now!!!
OMG YES the super soft line is the BEST!! I have sensory issues when it comes to fabric and clothing, and I have very specific things that I like and don’t like when it comes to texture, and their super soft items check ALL my boxes.
I have the jeweled version of those boots. i bought them in hopes to remove the jewels and to my delight the jewels WERE MADE TO BE REMOVABLE. amazing. i doubt i will ever wear them with the jewels on but the versatility is amazing. also. so cute and comfy!!
I stop shopping at Torrids for a couple of reasons. 1.) The started to have old people clothes. 2.) Even though I washed the clothes how the tag recommended, they did not last long after a couple of washes. 3.) The price was not worth the quality; especially after a couple of washes the colors faded or the seams began to fall apart. 4.) Their numbering system was not allowed accurate. I am glad you have been able to have success with Torrid. I switch the Catherine's and haven't looked back.
Yesss I feel the same way with their tees! They are so cute but I do not like things that hug because I’m not as confident so I always size up! I used to be self conscious about what size I would buy but once I see the outfits I style I always feel like it was a good choice!
I don't hate Torrid! So many plus-size options are good for basics but can be boring. That summer dress is everything! Gorgeous colors and gorgeous on you!
I absolutely loved that summer dress with the front cross straps. Everything was so cute but I loved that one the best. In Ohio we are having such cold cold days and ice! I am ready for some Spring!! Thank you for a great video! 🤗🙏💖
My favorites on you were the beachy dress and black jumpsuit. The red dress was also super cute, and the first black dress was very classy. I’m definitely going to look into the two fav’s for myself as well. 😍
Your so much fun to watch, that green dress looks amazing on you. You have such a beautiful spirit and I love the selection you choose to show your viewers. Thank you ❤️
My number one issue with Torrid is their prices! I know that becoming a thrift store shopper for clothes has ruined me for retail but I started going there when I felt that Walmart was getting "pricey" LOL. Torrid blows them out of the water! I loved the hiker outfit until I saw the elastic waist... I despise elastic waists! LOL I looooooove that black culotte jumpsuit! I'm putting my hair up in a bun with a big flower (think like a hibiscus) and then adding a long chunky necklace and bracelet. Love that! Also, that ombre dress is everything! If there was a blues version of it - they would be my go-to all summer when I'm not in scrubs for work! Heather xo
I ❤️ Torrid. I rarely buy at their retail price. I always wait for a sale or clearance. The sizing is great and quality is good too. I ❤️ graphic tees. I buy a size up too. I like to just throw them in the dryer and the size up let's me do so. I hate hanging up shirts to dry. The black romper was adorable on you. It's great for casual or dressed up with some jewelry. Your yellow tee, jeans and jacket looked cute. I thought it looked more like you were heading to a nice day at the farmer's market and then brunch. Not a before princess look at all. The ombre dress was super pretty and very flattering on you.
I love torrid so much. Some of their stuff is indeed out dated but they usually have a few gems like this cutest heart skater dress right now and I got it for valentine's day! It's super flattering and adorable.
I love Torrid buct they are so very expensive!! I'm only able to shop when I have Rewards or Torrid cash lately I haven't been buying anything because they haven't had any eye-catching pieces I will always shop with Torrid because their sizes run perfect on me
I love Torrid! They are the only place I buy my jeans, & I love their graphic tees & sweatshirts! I can't find anything in the sizes I like anywhere else! I like all of my shirts and sweatshirts to be much bigger then I actually need(I never go anywhere, so I just lou ge around in them most of the time!)..so I usually buy the biggest size available! Their sweatshirts are insanely soft, too!!
Oh I need that Mai Tai dress! Too cute. I love torrid and have been shopping there over a year. I am a 26/28 and I have not found jeans with torrid that fit. Dear fupa, I am trying to love you.
I loved the black jumpsuit on you so much, I bought it for an upcoming trip. It’s my first jumpsuit and I really love it. Very comfortable and I’m gonna wear it to every event people let me into.
Hi Anna! John's comment was right on point. You did say you chose those pieces cause you wanted to look like you're going on a hike, cute and ready to explore. I ❤️ Torrid. I have been a customer since I was in my late teens (I am now almost 40). I -unlike most people I guess- do love skulls and because I've been shopping for so long I pretty much know what materials and styles fit me best. I still shop and will continue to shop there 😁...on sale ofcourse. I loved the the ribbed dress and the romper but everything looked nice on you.
I love watching you and hearing your opinions! You are so knowledgeable about fashion. It helps me so much as someone who is fashion challenged. 😂😂 Thank you!!!
I am glad that Torrid has staples and doesn’t do all fast fashion. I enjoy that they have Disney and a little bit of their edgy side still around. I remember when they were the online-only plus size sister to Hot Topic 😜 I love how their clothes fit and they have good sales! Not to mention, their rewards program is awesome.
I really loved your haul, but it is so helpful to have links to Torrid instead of having to hunt them down. I do love Torrid because if I find a full priced item I can put it in my cart and let it sit there until it goes on clearance! I just feel like their clothes are too teeny bopish and not appropriate for us in our 40’s! But don’t get me wrong they have great quality items like their jeans and their shoes. I have a very big foot (12W) and they are the one of very few vendors in my size. Thank you so much for your opinion and please keep up the good work! TY Anna
Always enjoy your hauls and the different companies you try. Torrid's been so hit and miss, and so pricy, that I don't shop there much anymore, but may take a look at their graphic Ts for work. I appreciate your honest evaluations of the different pieces you try. Really like how you show the clothes, then you wearing them, and whether or not you liked them on. Thank you for all you do to bring these to us, and hope you're enjoying getting settled in your new home.
I'm not plus size, but I love your swag! Girl, you dress so nice! I absolutely live for your videos and shorts. Oh...and my favorite look in your haul today was the ombre dress. Super cute 🥰
She can actually pull off plus size clothes and look fabulous! Coming from the Foodie Beauty train wreck and the ALR nightmare, this is a breath of fresh air in every way
The prices are quite high for the quality they have been having lately. I enjoy torrid because I change sizes quite frequently and find that I can shop their range well. However, $60-90 for a casual dress, $50 for a plain skirt, $70+ for bras… it’s just not realistic for regular shopping if you’re wanting to continually update the wardrobe. Obvi, I hit the sales and such but I enjoy stores where shopping there isn’t luck or the draw in pricing/ sizing! Keep up your hauls, bc lady they’re on it! I’m not sorry for being whatever size I happen to be that day, and feeling beautiful is a major factor in my day to day. Seeing that in lady who lives out loud is empowering!
First off that color sweater you’re wearing is gorgeous! Second that maxi is everything!! And thirdly-you will absolutely love Santa Fe!! Its magical. Please make a video when you go!! ❤️❤️
The tropical dress 👗 is my FAV on you!!! You can buy summer dresses in the middle of winter since it will be 90 in 2 months. And what is 2 months in the grand scheme of things 🤷🏻♀️
Torrid is the best plus size option in Canada that isn’t geared to old ladies. Yes, it’s very expensive especially when ordering online and shipping to Canada. Styles are usually good and made to last. I’m kinda shocked that so many are hating on a store I wish I had growing up.
I have had the worst luck with their jeans! Every pair I have ever purchased gets worn in the inner thigh area so fast. It’s really frustrating especially considering they are not cheap!
I LOVE torrid clothes !!! I have never had a problem with them . Now I did have a problem with them back in the day because they plastered skulls on EVERYTHING and the clothes looked grandmaish !!! SO I stopped shopping with them for a while . But they did an overhaul of the brand and I like the new clothing styles now . I go through every item when I shop with them online . And I have found some gems ! I also do unboxing torrid videos on my page . I like my t shirts fitted from torrid . Nice video !!
OMG but it is so cute. Definitely worth buying in tundra temps. But the Lil jogger outfit is so comfy and happy looking. It looks like an outfit that you would have a day that changes your life. But the black Lil jumper is so freaking awesome 😍 it looks so adorable on you. The boots are the bomb but I would look to see a casual chic look with the red shoes and some jean capris. Rock it girl!!!!
I just feel like a lot of their stuff is really juvenile, which would be fine, plus size teens need a place to shop too, but then the price is ridiculous! So expensive and I don't think the quality matches the price at all in some cases.
I only shop super sale/clearance but that usually means the cute items sell out after you buy the item and the majority of your order is canceled days after the order is placed. Customer service is very hit and miss as well. Sizing is also inconsistent; I personally, am anywhere from a 00 to a 2.
I literally came to say this exact statement!! I ordered several dresses few days ago that were all clearance...not even 24 hours later and every order was canceled. It's got to where it's so frustrating that I don't want to shop with Torrid anymore just for this reason alone. If they don't have the item in the warehouse then they should have a system to check a local store and have that particular store ship it for you.
I absolutely LOVE Torrid. 99.9% of my closet is Torrid. I always get compliments on my clothes. I also take the time to fully browse the website for things I like (the closest brick and mortar store is 45 minutes away). I just scroll on by what I don't like.
I love Torrid’s graphic tees, especially all of the vintage band and vintage movie quotes. I always get the biggest one and do a half-tuck. Their shoes are all so cute and comfy-they have wide calf boots that are great.
I miss the original Torrid. Rockabilly and goth styles. Flame heart logo. The quality of the clothes were better. I did buy a couple of pieces from the Betsy Johnson collab because they reminded me of the old styles they carried.

Here’s my problem with Torrid as someone who used to work there…. Super expensive, a lot of their styles are outdated recently, and the quality for a lot of items is so cheap. I get my work pants there and they are ALWAYS ripping around the pockets!!! It’s so frustrating especially when I spend $75 bucks on one pair!!!

I'm really glad you went back to giving feedback on the clothing while you were trying it on. It gives better perspective on how things fit/feel.
Love that the comments while wearing the outfits is back! Great haul :).
I like your outfits! You are a joy to watch an uplifting person! It's nice to see good folks on here
Torrid was the first place to sell jeans that actually fit me! I am not ashamed to say I own 60 pair of their jeans and several hundred t-shirts 😄
Edit: I would wear the heck out of that black jumpsuit with a wide belt and sandals for Spring!
I want them with the jewels 💎!
I buy lots of Torrid clothes... from thrift stores and second hand! 😆
Mercari has tons !!!
The black dress is super cute and I love all 3 pair of the shoes!
I LOVE Torrid. Sometimes their sizing is weird tho. I love their soft fabric ,Also love the band tees & the more alternative looking pieces.
I love love love the ombré dress. The same way I loved the olive dress in the same style. Just could not justify the price even on sale
That tropical summer dress is stunning on you 😍😍😍
The ombré dress is beautiful and looks fabulous on you.
Love love love Torrid! I always buy with coupons or on sale, so the prices aren’t bad.
Where do you get coupons?
I'm so glad you're talking during your try-on's again! Please keep it up!
That sundress is GORGEOUS and is super flattering on you! Oh my gosh!! Girl! I hope you kept it! It's so so pretty!
Thank you ❤️
The black jumpsuit and long yellow and orange dress are my fav on you!!
Please continue 🙏🙂what you do, love your platform, you are a blessing to many! Lovvvve your energy lady!!
Good idea…I hate having clothes hanging all over my house, when it’s raining or freezing out!
I love torrid so much. Some of their stuff is indeed out dated but they usually have a few gems like this cutest heart skater dress right now and I got it for valentine's day! It's super flattering and adorable.
"she look good but she aint fancy" LMAAAOOOO.....you are awesomeness!!!
I love the long tropical dress. I would wear it. Love the black jumpsuit also!
Oh I need that Mai Tai dress! Too cute. I love torrid and have been shopping there over a year. I am a 26/28 and I have not found jeans with torrid that fit. Dear fupa, I am trying to love you.
You are beautiful and my jaw dropped when you put on the ombre dress! The hiking outfit is also so cute and looks great on you.
That sunset dress looks great on you - KEEP!
TY Anna
Seriously girl! Everything looked glorious on you, esp the first dress and the black jumpsuit. Wowza!
The jumpsuit and the ombré dress were my favorites on you! They looked fabulous!
I love ❤️ the fan girl items. All I wanted as a kid is available for me now at Torrid.
The red dress on you is fire. I like the red ribbon tie. It’s gorgeous on you!!
I'm not plus size, but I love your swag! Girl, you dress so nice! I absolutely live for your videos and shorts. Oh...and my favorite look in your haul today was the ombre dress. Super cute 🥰
I’m not plus size either, but I absolutely love Anna as well! I love her personality and fashion sense! I just want to be her friend! 💖
@@kelliemorris84 I know, right! She seems like such a nice and fun person.
Wanna be her friend to she can help me with my clothes as a plus size little bit of clothes a girl be struggling I need more match ups lol
She can actually pull off plus size clothes and look fabulous! Coming from the Foodie Beauty train wreck and the ALR nightmare, this is a breath of fresh air in every way
Me too, gorl
Love so much the black jumpsuit and white loafers for you.
The tropical dress looks beautiful on you!
The tropical dress 👗 is my FAV on you!!! You can buy summer dresses in the middle of winter since it will be 90 in 2 months. And what is 2 months in the grand scheme of things 🤷🏻♀️
The summer dress is so gorgeous!!!!
Go bigger.. when my tear or get worn it's cause I am getting the jeans too tight
I love your channel and content! I am not plus size, but I love how you style stuff, I am learning a lot!
The second dress reminds me of a sunset on the beach.
I really like Torrid, too. They have items that I don’t find in other stores. I like the quirky t shirts although they are expensive AF
Lo que más me ha gustado es el vestido playero amarillo, el mono negro y el outfit vaquero. Estupendo haul. Gracias!
I absolutely LOVE Torrid. 99.9% of my closet is Torrid. I always get compliments on my clothes. I also take the time to fully browse the website for things I like (the closest brick and mortar store is 45 minutes away). I just scroll on by what I don't like.
Also, I just bought that exact same ombre maxi dress and I love it!!
The maxi dress is amazing 🤩 and it looks fab on you!
Agreed. Hit or miss. But sometimes you find Gems!
My favorite on you was the ombre sundress!! Second was the black jumpsuit or whatever.
I love Torrid’s graphic tees, especially all of the vintage band and vintage movie quotes. I always get the biggest one and do a half-tuck. Their shoes are all so cute and comfy-they have wide calf boots that are great.
That beach dress though... 😍 I literally gasped aloud when I saw you in that.
I personally love Torrid and will always be a fan!! I think the quality is fabulous and I shop clearance and sale so it’s affordable. Great haul!
I miss the original Torrid. Rockabilly and goth styles. Flame heart logo. The quality of the clothes were better. I did buy a couple of pieces from the Betsy Johnson collab because they reminded me of the old styles they carried.
I love you girlie! I'm plus size as well and whoever wants 2 make fun of gals like us has issues they need 2 work out THEMSELVES! Also, u honestly look good in all the clothes I've seen you wear! ❣️
The summer dress and the black off the shoulder kolot outfits were especially nice pieces.
The tropical dress was actually nice I wear that. In ny it's 10degress. And we have snow right now
I like Torrid, for the most part. I adore that ombre sundress with the crossed straps, but I'd have to cut half the skirt off as I'm only 5' tall.
I love torrid. They weren't even close to being one of the first for plus size. LB has been around forever. I used to shop there when I was in college... I am 60 now.
