I wish you well on your weight loss journey & I hope that my own experience encourages you. When I crushed my spine in two places, the damage was inoperable. So, I had to lie in a Stryker frame in the ICU & do everything lying flat, to enable healing. I put on weight & my colleagues were giving me lots of excuses as to why losing weight would be difficult & I needn't worry. For a start, when I was discharged, in a body cast, ALL exercise was forbidden. However, knowing what it was like to operate on & care for people who were even moderately overweight, never mind morbidly obese, I drank only sparkling water, instead of soda & weighed everything that I ate. Within 3 months, I had lost 41lbs. Even small changes can make a massive difference. This is a grown woman, not a child & is only fooling herself, NOT those who watch her.

As someone who was 350 pounds (120 down!!!) I can say there is absolutely no way that a 4 at torrid is actually her size. I wore a 3 and she, at this size is 2 of what I was around the hips, waist and arms. If you hear seams bursting when ya put it on, it ain't your size. When the material is sucked into your rolls it doesn't fit. When a slight gust of wind will show what's supposed to be your butt when it's supposed to be just above the knee, it does not fit. 😮💨 I have no clue how she thinks she looks good unless she has a fetish for it along with being the narcissist she is.
My highest weight was 320 and I wore a 3x while also being taller and more muscular. However, a 4x for me wouldve been comfortable if i wanted something baggy. these 4x's do NOT fit her. She forgets how a dress is actually supposed to fit someone's body and is too damn proud to go up to 5 or 6x.

She sews and since I've been old enough to buy my own clothes, she will chase me down and be like, "You need that hemmed, that needs to be altered." It can be a nuisance, but sometimes seeing someone wearing something that is ill-fitting makes you realize that it's important to wear well fitted clothes.

What makes me nuts is HOW she talks about clothes fitting. Do her clothes fit? I'll give it to her on the technicality that she can actually get her body into them. Do they fit well? No. When things are pulling and puckering, they're too tight. But Amber will stand there and exclaim, "Oh my gosh you guys this fits sooooo well!!! This is definitely proof of my weight loss!!! I'm such a skinny legend!" Its okay to acknowledge that maybe a month ago you wouldn't be able to get this over your body and now you can, so you've made progress. I'm actually gonna give that one to ALR, I'm never fully sure what material certain clothes are made of and how they may feel unless I can see them in person, while she orders online. For example, some of my cotton t-shirts are more thick and rigid, while others are lightweight and flowy and ideal for PJs, and others still are somewhere in between and better for going out. And all my t-shirts are largely dark and look very similar

I worked for a store very similar to Torrid and had to pay attention when I ordered clothes and I always check fabric tags. Like, a Rayon/Spandex blend is probably our gorl’s favorite, and anything with more polyester instead wouldn’t have as much stretch.

But he kept buying medium shirts because his brain just didn't compute it was wrong. So my grandmother would have the return them before he ripped the tag off and grab the same shirt in a large and replace them. But he was often too quick with the tag so my brother ended up with so many collared shirts 😂😂. He was a man in his late 70s with increasing issues with dementia -- after my grandmother passed he figured it out......... ALR endlessly living more in denial than a confused old man.

I remember I was at my heaviest weight, of 368 (I’m ALR same height), and just laying down one night.. realizing just how bad my breathing was, how much it hurt to just exist.. and literally that was enough for me. I couldn’t keep living that way.. I’m currently 203, and even now, I know I can stand to feel so much better. How do you not get to that point, at 500+? Makes me so sad because I can imagine just how much misery she feels, on a daily basis. Putting “cute” clothes on won’t stop the feel of suffocating, when your body just can’t go any further.. won’t stop the pain of a heart attack.. won’t keep your knees from giving out when you fall.. JFC 🤦🏽♀️

I squeezed myself into size small clothing for years when I should've been wearing a medium and now I allow myself to find clothes that actually fit me. I weigh 300lb and *I* fit comfortably into a 24/26. Size “4” from Torrid & Lane Bryant. Hems actually hit where they belong. So I am very surprised that at 100-150lbs more she can fit them on at all.
First of all she wears dresses as shirts/tunics. Without the pants under they’d be way too short. But also weight falls differently on different people. I also weigh 300 but I’m a size 30 or 5/6x

All of the Torrid stuff is a bit whimsical. I got a shirt covered in weiner dogs in scarves (best thing I ever bought, worth the $70 postage) and a ripped up sweater with Disney villains on it.
To me, there is nothing wrong with expressing what you like through clothing at any age. I wear Harry Potter clothing and I'm 38, my sister is a huge Disney nut and she's 42. In Amber's case, she doesn't REALLY like it, merely wears it to be quirky. When she was Hermione for Halloween, I wanted to punch her balloon face; she admitted she had never even read the books. And that's the difference. She reads half a book or watches the movie once and claims she's a die-hard fan of it and has to hoard everything having to do with it, then it's forgotten in 6 months.

You probably weren’t wearing dresses as shirts like her. At my heaviest I was 205, I am also 5’1. Now I’m 120. It hasn’t been easy. At one point I gave up and ate a large pizza a day for two weeks and then I felt like shit so I gave that up real quick. I have a back injury right now and it’s keeping motivated to keep losing weight because if I gain any weight it will hurt my body.
I am 5'4" and wear a 3x to a 6x on top (depends on the company sizes) and a 1x on the bottom. How can she possibly think a 4x fits? I lost 100 pounds and have kept it off for a year. She out weighs me by 200 pound. There is absolutely no way a 4x fits. Does she have people that help her pull it on? I was suprised she had a mirror. She's not seeing the same thing as the viewers. After 100# I still saw heavier me in the mirror. It took a photo of my sister & I to realize how much weight I'd lost in my face. It was about 75# before I noticed a size down. Clothes had gotten looser, but not dropped a size. When you weigh 500 plus pounds, 10# wouldn't even be noticeable. If you lost it in December and it's now August. That's not a weight lose. It's a accident and was mostly likely regained in January. She is truly delusional or a great practical joker.

At this point Amber is a lost cause. I'm in the middle of a weight loss journey myself, and the last thing I want to do is waste money on clothes while at my heaviest weight. She is content with where she is.

I wish you well on your weight loss journey & I hope that my own experience encourages you. When I crushed my spine in two places, the damage was inoperable. So, I had to lie in a Stryker frame in the ICU & do everything lying flat, to enable healing. I put on weight & my colleagues were giving me lots of excuses as to why losing weight would be difficult & I needn't worry. For a start, when I was discharged, in a body cast, ALL exercise was forbidden. However, knowing what it was like to operate on & care for people who were even moderately overweight, never mind morbidly obese, I drank only sparkling water, instead of soda & weighed everything that I ate. Within 3 months, I had lost 41lbs. Even small changes can make a massive difference. This is a grown woman, not a child & is only fooling herself, NOT those who watch her.
Amber spends money like the TH-cam gravy trains never going to end, she has nothing to fall back on. She’s going to be seriously screwed, we’ll see soon enough who’s the one losing weight because they can’t afford to buy fast food 😏

As someone who was 350 pounds (120 down!!!) I can say there is absolutely no way that a 4 at torrid is actually her size. I wore a 3 and she, at this size is 2 of what I was around the hips, waist and arms. If you hear seams bursting when ya put it on, it ain't your size. When the material is sucked into your rolls it doesn't fit. When a slight gust of wind will show what's supposed to be your butt when it's supposed to be just above the knee, it does not fit. 😮💨 I have no clue how she thinks she looks good unless she has a fetish for it along with being the narcissist she is.

My highest weight was 320 and I wore a 3x while also being taller and more muscular. However, a 4x for me wouldve been comfortable if i wanted something baggy. these 4x's do NOT fit her. She forgets how a dress is actually supposed to fit someone's body and is too damn proud to go up to 5 or 6x.

What makes me nuts is HOW she talks about clothes fitting. Do her clothes fit? I'll give it to her on the technicality that she can actually get her body into them. Do they fit well? No. When things are pulling and puckering, they're too tight. But Amber will stand there and exclaim, "Oh my gosh you guys this fits sooooo well!!! This is definitely proof of my weight loss!!! I'm such a skinny legend!" Its okay to acknowledge that maybe a month ago you wouldn't be able to get this over your body and now you can, so you've made progress. But that it doesn't fit well so there's still work to do.
By her own admission, she last lost weight in December. She claims to be the same weight she was in January, but I think she's much higher.

If she knows a certain material might not fit, she should check the descriptions of all the clothes she buys so she can buy a size higher. But knowing her, buying a size up will destroy her ego. She’d rather buy a dress too small that the right size/ a tad too big
I'm actually gonna give that one to ALR, I'm never fully sure what material certain clothes are made of and how they may feel unless I can see them in person, while she orders online. For example, some of my cotton t-shirts are more thick and rigid, while others are lightweight and flowy and ideal for PJs, and others still are somewhere in between and better for going out. And all my t-shirts are largely dark and look very similar

I worked for a store very similar to Torrid and had to pay attention when I ordered clothes and I always check fabric tags. Like, a Rayon/Spandex blend is probably our gorl’s favorite, and anything with more polyester instead wouldn’t have as much stretch.

The squeezing into shirts that don't fit and saying it fits reminds me of my Grandfather. 😂 He wore medium shirts his entire life but as he got older he needed larges because he wasn't insanely fit anymore, just an average man. But he kept buying medium shirts because his brain just didn't compute it was wrong. So my grandmother would have the return them before he ripped the tag off and grab the same shirt in a large and replace them. But he was often too quick with the tag so my brother ended up with so many collared shirts 😂😂. He was a man in his late 70s with increasing issues with dementia -- after my grandmother passed he figured it out......... ALR endlessly living more in denial than a confused old man.

I remember I was at my heaviest weight, of 368 (I’m ALR same height), and just laying down one night.. realizing just how bad my breathing was, how much it hurt to just exist.. and literally that was enough for me. I couldn’t keep living that way.. I’m currently 203, and even now, I know I can stand to feel so much better. How do you not get to that point, at 500+? Makes me so sad because I can imagine just how much misery she feels, on a daily basis. Putting “cute” clothes on won’t stop the feel of suffocating, when your body just can’t go any further.. won’t stop the pain of a heart attack.. won’t keep your knees from giving out when you fall.. I squeezed myself into size small clothing for years when I should've been wearing a medium and now I allow myself to find clothes that actually fit me. I weigh 300lb and *I* fit comfortably into a 24/26. Size “4” from Torrid & Lane Bryant. Hems actually hit where they belong. So I am very surprised that at 100-150lbs more she can fit them on at all.

To me, there is nothing wrong with expressing what you like through clothing at any age. I wear Harry Potter clothing and I'm 38, my sister is a huge Disney nut and she's 42. In Amber's case, she doesn't REALLY like it, merely wears it to be quirky. When she was Hermione for Halloween, I wanted to punch her balloon face; she admitted she had never even read the books. And that's the difference. She reads half a book or watches the movie once and claims she's a die-hard fan of it and has to hoard everything having to do with it, then it's forgotten in 6 months.

I’m very confused: at my heaviest I was 259. I’m about 5’ 1” and was wearing a size 24, sometimes 26. ALR is not much taller than me, but is over 200lbs bigger than me at my heaviest. How would the two of us wear the same size?
You probably weren’t wearing dresses as shirts like her. At my heaviest I was 205, I am also 5’1. Now I’m 120. It hasn’t been easy. At one point I gave up and ate a large pizza a day for two weeks and then I felt like shit so I gave that up real quick. I have a back injury right now and it’s keeping motivated to keep losing weight because if I gain any weight it will hurt my body.
I am 5'4" and wear a 3x to a 6x on top (depends on the company sizes) and a 1x on the bottom. How can she possibly think a 4x fits? I lost 100 pounds and have kept it off for a year. She out weighs me by 200 pound. There is absolutely no way a 4x fits. Does she have people that help her pull it on? I was suprised she had a mirror. She's not seeing the same thing as the viewers. After 100# I still saw heavier me in the mirror. It took a photo of my sister & I to realize how much weight I'd lost in my face. It was about 75# before I noticed a size down. Clothes had gotten looser, but not dropped a size. When you weigh 500 plus pounds, 10# wouldn't even be noticeable. If you lost it in December and it's now August. That's not a weight lose. It's a accident and was mostly likely regained in January. She is truly delusional or a great practical joker.
