This is an alright tool to use, but in most cases becomes unusable because of extra reflections on other surfaces, you can see this at 0:26 as parts of this reflection probe can be seen on the roof, leading to a lighter colour. Would be good if we could somehow tell twinmotion what materials to affect, so it only affects the material you want, which in this instance would be glass.

I think you should make a tutorial on how to use the reflection probe

Hey; the mirror tutorial is OK, but with large reflective surfaces, you may get distortion..

Thanks for clarifying the reflection update in preferences...this goes a long way to making good time lapse more possible (if a bit slower). I notice in 2020.2, the camera auto-exposure is still too drastic and slow for use in time lapse that occurs before sunrise and after sunset (going completely black, and very slowly back to proper exposure, as you can see in your video starting around 1:25). I've heard the design team intends this to be the way for exposure to work, but I"m not sure why. It'd be great to get some more videos and discussion going about lighting values and camera exposure for day and night shots. Thanks for all the recent videos...all the extra info is greatly appreciated!

Thank you, it was a nice video. There were realistic reflections. I would appreciate it if there is another training on how to use the reflection probe. (such as the distance and size of the reflection probe).

I get reflections that are inaccurate in size and position with the reflection probes. Its a great tool, but Its application is more like a guess work to me.

Thanks I always did wonder why the reflections looked so low res. It might be a good idea to add this resolution option in the settings of the reflection probe rather than in a preference menu

Thanks for the tip, but please add ray-tracing feature to TM, so there will be no need to do these adjustments.

All I'm asking for is a reflection plane so that we can add reflections to one surface at a time if needed

  • @alvaro_arquitecto

How many Reflection Probes do we have to add?, do we have to add one Probe for each window?

    • @adisadis1221
      @adisadis1221 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Not for every window, he used two probes, one for the front and one for the back of the house, you can scale them to fit your needed size

Hello, how can we make disappear the little grey cube of reflection probe please ?

In Twinmotion 2021 I noticed that they disappear when you enter fullscreen mode (the rectangular icon close to the eye icon in the top right corner).

Regarding the reflection probe being updated every single frame when exporting a video... hmmm... why not allow the user to choose how many frames it will take before update? Like... every 10 frames...

Ce serai bien d avoir une vidéo sur comment avoir un rendu photo réaliste dans les vues intérieures. ( Car il y a toujours une différence de rendu entre Twinmotion et Unreal)

For me, it is still hard to get an accurate reflection..!! even when I tried the mirror tutorial..
I suppose there should be an equation, showing 2 main things ( the Reflection Probe's SIZE & CENTER ) in relation with the Reflective Surface Area..
    Thank you

I'm having problems exporting videos. They get corrupted and 0 bytes. I know that if I lower my resolution to 1366x768 solves that problem, but creates another problem...Now I got a low resolution video.
So what I do is, export as png image sequence and then recreate the video on Adobe Premiere.
