- I hyped up this new mower when I was at the Expo this season. Here are my initial reactions when I mowed with it for the first time.

I’ve been watching you for almost a decade. These old school videos where you do the filming are way better then the newer “pro produced” videos.
I agree 100%.
Thank you! I try to do these vlog style videos every weekend during the main part of the season.
Miss the old school way you did this video in 👍
thanks! these are a lot of fun and I plan to do more vlog style this season.
I have the old LM-2130 with zero issues. I have bermuda and St Augustine and cut at level 3 for the front. Not sure why so many have complaints. I have zero problems with clippings and stragglers. I think when you cut too high is when you get the stragglers.
Backyard I use a manual reel mower to cut at .5
I have an LM-2135SP and cut my Bermuda at setting 2. I use setting 1 sparingly but get scalping marks - most definitely a lawn leveling issue I plan to tackle this season. When I use the high-lift or mulching blades, perfectly deposited into the bag.
I’ve had my Ego since 2018 and have had zero issues with it. I’ve changed blade every year. Mow twice a week, sometimes 3. Best part is in Winter, fold up and put in corner, unplug battery until March. Let go my Ego
Cut Quality angles are awesome. Looks incredible. Great video.
Thanks for video. I got the 2022 top of line ego and it wasn’t good enough! I suffered for 2 years. After seeing this video today I went out and bought the new one! Came home and it mows like my old Honda! Glad I got it!
So you bought the one feature in this video? Interesting. I've got a LM2114 and have been wanting to upgrade. I miss the cut quality of my old Toro Super Recycler. Haven't heard strong enough reviews of the top of the line Egos. Maybe they're that good now??
@@infotime I just have 1 cut with it but I cut my yard this morning on lowest setting and went back over it with new mower and got a full bag out of it. My biggest complaint with old mower was it didn’t suck anything up. This one sucked up 1/2 the water balloons off the grass! the previous one didn’t get any any water balloons. Also the lowest setting on this one is actually low, should be able to get a good scalp out it. Old one wasn’t good for that at all. It was good for mowing high that’s about it
Alan! Measure the blade length. It's actually 20 and 7/8 inches long, less than 21" ...don't know how they get to "22." I actually returned mine because of that and the screaming high pitch of the Touch Drive whine. I couldn't take it, lol. Thanks for the video.
P.S. I shared the above feedback on Ego's website and my review was approved and up for a day & a half. Then, they deleted my review. Thought you should know. Kinda disappointed with Ego about that one. Felt shady.
22 inch refers to 22 inch deck size. But yes, imho it’s misleading.
appreciate you sharing.
Can the touch drive be turned off?
@@thamadrabbit2979Yes, simply don't push the drive buttons and the mower can be pushed with no self-propel.
Go gas
I've had an EGO mower since about 2012. Their first one, push, and I'm in Florida with about 2/3 acre, mowing when it is hot. Yes it had Version 1 problems. I contacted EGO, they said they'd figured out what the problem was, and sent me a new Version 2 mower. I asked if they wanted the Version 1 shipped back and they said just keep it. After EGO came out with the self-propelled I sold the push one in 2020 and got the 2130SP. It is a huge improvement over the old EGO, doesn't get bogged down when the grass is a bit higher.
I also don't understand with people saying the batteries are dying after one or two years. I've got the 2012 battery, it still works, probably at 80%, and I've of course got the new 10ahr battery. So I've learned with the Nissan LEAF Version 1 that you shouldn't keep the batteries at 100% in the heat, as it is exponentially bad. So I'll leave it at 20%, stored in the house, and charge right before I go and mow. Now with two batteries it is that much better, as I'm not recharging in the middle of mowing, and both can cool down when I'm done.
I don't think just because it is sponsored by EGO that you throw away his observations. I've been looking at the 22" one, but yes the price will keep me using my old one. I've also heard some negativity about the Touch Drive noise. But on paper it looks good, and has the higher torque than my 2130. I think the EGO 2150 though has the higher torque too though. But I've still done OK with the 2130SP.
So I appreciate this video.
My Honda engine still works at 100% after 10 years, and will most likely still be working at 100% in another 10 years.
Mine is going strong at 18 years
ahh yes nothing like the sound of a deafening gear whine to really enjoy your mow with battery mower. Really glad Ego found a use for all those speedIQ gearboxes from the failure last year. They cut corners and now we get to enjoy them cutting our enjoyable battery mow with a constant nail on chalkboard sound... true perfection.
Where the Speed IQ gear boxes truly louder than the other models? Is that what really made these new mowers so whiney? Thanks
I look forward to the review of the EGO commercial LMX5300SP with the same deck but 14.8ft-lbs (vs 11.1ft-lbs on this LM2206SP), single high lift blade (vs dual mulch blade set) and Peak Power Technology. LMX5300SP vs LM2206SP will be... EPIC for all battery operated (or maybe even some gas...) lawn mower lovers!
Brilliant video and review and covered a lot of points, for me it's all about the cut quality and this has answered my questions,i have the ego lm2135sp and it's a great mower but i feel the cut quality could be a shade better, this machine looks great and the heavier deck looks to have helped with cut quality,i will upgrade to this machine once it becomes available here in Ireland
I bought and returned mine. Honestly it has nothing on my Honda HRX217 and HRN216. Turn the RPM up on the Honda's to 3,350 and they are better machines in every category... maneuverability, self-propelled system, blade durability, lift, enjoyment of use, and quality of cut. I did like the concept of the Ego but at the end of the day, the Hondas are simply better performing machines. Even when one takes a long-term view, changing 14 oz of oil once a year for 15 years is better than buying a new $500 battery every five.
Totally agree… can’t beat a Honda… all I’m seeing with these EGO mowers are this blade, that blade, etc… Honda comes with the perfect blade for all scenarios, bag, mulch, discharge or a combination. The aluminum deck EGO looks to be a lot better than the older models, but at $1300 it’s definitely overpriced… plus in a few years it’ll need a new $3/400 battery..
Oh, the blades were a joke. 20 & 7/8" long (far from the claim of 22) and flimsy as heck.
Did you notice any issues with much higher fuel consumption or engine wear by increasing RPMs? Mine currently runs at 3120, but I can easily move it to 3330.
Does it improve mulching and bogging? I mow St Augustine grass.
So peaceful and so calm
My Honda has been great for 19 years, just bought another since they're not making mowers anymore. My new Honda HRX 217 is badass! Many more years to come with these 2. No electricity...(especially here in Oklahoma), and 3. I can fix it!
Where in the heck did you find one?
@wbwjr456 Home Depot, Acme Tools etc... they are out there. Home depot doesn't have the variety of selection that sites like Mowers direct or Acme tools has for each iteration of model, but they are out there. i had to grab one and hope it's my last mower i have to buy.
I've had my Honda for 10 years and will last for probably another 10 years. This battery crap is only as good as the batteries, and there hasn't been any significant advances in battery technology in a very long time. These things will lose their potency, then you have to buy new battery packs for the price of a new mower. Meanwhile I'll spend a few bucks in fuel, oil, filters and plugs and run that Honda pretty much indefinitely.
@@wbwjr456used but in new condition.
Im happy for you but nobody asked.
Has EGO solved the relay problems which seem to need repaired so often or has any improvements been made to the battery's so they don't fail as often. ?
Just got the LMX5300E. Built like a TANK and the self propelled doesn't whine like the residential unit. A lot more money though especially since it doesn't come with batteries or a charger. Would be curious to compare them side to side especially the cut quality since it's a single blade. Thanks for the review!
Where'd you purchase it at?
Debating this mower in the aluminum or polycarbonate deck or the commercial version the LMX5300SP. However, the LMX5300SP is a single blade and typically single blades cut like crap vs 2. I have a very thick lawn, 12k sq ft of KBG grass, huge oak and maple leaves that drop basketball sized leaves in the fall. I use my current Honda HRX 217HYA 200cc with hydrostatic transmission and have zero issues it cuts like a dream. I also use it to vacuum/bag trimmed yews, hydrangeas, etc., after pruning. However, I'm getting older and like the appeal of electric. My concerns are as follows:
1) Will this mower leave clumps, lines, and trails of grass while mowing
2) I've read reviews that this will not pick up/vacuum leaves very well even with the high lift blades installed (doesn't come with the mower, apparently)
3) Debating on getting two 12ah batteries, buying mower by itself or the 10ah battery and charger combo and one additional 12ah battery as I want to be sure I can finish my tasks, I'd prefer fast dual battery charger if they make one
4) Most importantly, I've read where Ego customer service is a joke, and if your mower stops working, you're helpless and essentially have a very expensive paper weight due to no local dealer support
I think with earbuds and hearing protection on the loud as hell whining from the brushed self-propel drive system can be overlooked 🤔
I'd appreciate any and all feedback or suggestions 😄
@@shanew7361 My single blade question was really unfounded. I have yet to see a single commercial machine even a 90k Toro Groundskeeper used at golf courses use more than 1 blade so if it's good enough for them it should be adequate for me lol. The only real advantage COULD be with mulching since there are more blades but it comes at the expense of lift. If the deck is properly engineered a single high lift blade should do a great job. So far this single blade lifts, mulches and bags MUCH better than my dual blade 2156. The commercial self propelled noise is barely audible over the blade so that issue is not a concern. The commercial only comes with 1 blade and it is a high lift blade. Also I am seeing MUCH better runtimes. I would use 2 10ah batteries to cut my yard . Now I use 30% from the same 2 10ah batteries and I cut at mostly turbo because who doesn't want more blade speed and lift? Not sure why but 9 cuts on the machine and it's the same each time.
As for service I have been satisfied. If you register the tools when you buy them it's pretty simple. You call them, they verify the warranty status and attempt to fix it over the phone. If they can't, they replace it. I can't say what they would do with a mower but I have warrantied a 10ah battery, 1 multi head and 1 765 blower. Each time they sent me a brand new replacement within a week. The multi head just had a cracked handle but they sent an entire new machine and the blower cracked due to me dropping it but they still offered to replace it. I really can't complain on the service side.
No doubt it is a lot of money especially if you don't have the batteries but with Honda stopping production on mowers and gas being banned all over the place good electric options are limited. I'm in the buy once cry once camp.
I enjoyed this vid and glad to progress being made on electric mowers. PS, still no mowing here in TX...looks great in FL!
love all these Ego mower " honest reviews" all over youtube with affiliate links in the description...hahaha
Yo what's up LCN, as a longtime subscriber ( (4-5 yrs) I know you're super bz, but I do miss these types of videos with you vlogging and in the garage. It's never a dull moment with LCN. Keep up the great work. I'm still dominating 5 yrs later.😎
Thanks bro, enjoy the mow!
Agreed. My fav was the St. Pete series.
As a owner of a ego it was okay but when I switched to the liberty 43 by allet it was night and day difference , made my ego look like a toy and the cut quality was so far better on the 43 , plus the options of being able dethatch , aeration, and much more . ALLET LIBERTY 43 is my go to now
Ready for the overgrown mow it’s about that time
I bought my EGO last year in ‘23 when my gas mower went kaput. I hate the Speed IQ; it really sucks what little mindless joy I get from this boring task. But what I really like to see is the self-propel driving the front wheels. Once I get to the end of a row I will push down on the handle and lift the front while simultaneously pivoting and turning 180°. Having the rear wheels turning while I do that is frustrating.
It's all about enjoying the mow.
People are complaining about the whine of the touch drive. However, it sounds very similar to the regular one. It's one of the reasons I don't use the powerdrive. Do you find it to be louder then the old though? People are returning over it. You don't talk about it (probably because you are sponsored) but curious nevertheless.
Hey lawn guy it’s about time for a follow up. How did the mower do this summer with the thick grass?
Is there any solution to the winning noise from the self propelled system?
Yeah not going faster or not using it at all. It’s a motor so there’s gonna be whining especially at higher speeds.
I saw 11.1ftlbs of torque. Is that the turbo mode? If so, what torque do the normal and eco modes have?
My first season with the Ego. I use lift and bag blade instead of the mulch and find it does a better job…..
I have been drooling over this mower at Lowes, but I don't think I want to spend $1200 on it. I used to own and Ryobi 40v cross cut and got bored with it so I sold it. I did buy an Ego Select cut and it does seem to cut a bit better and the battery technology us way better than Ryobi. 7 feet of torque versus 11.5 in this one is tempting, but not sure if it is really necessary?
I wish Ego would come out with dethatcher and aerator. That would def change the lawn game.
You know how heavy an aerator needs to be? Battery crap could never achieve that.
I actually like being able to adjust the height from side to side on my mower. I have use cases where adjusting height side to side keeps the cut even. Never liked that EGOs you had only one height adjustment and it limits the quality of your cut. For most homeowners probably not an issue but I'm a perfectionist.
Just got the new 22” and it is heavy-but what bugs me is the sqeely noise when I engage the mower propel switch-cuts great but squeals ! Does yours do that too?
Sponsor?.. in other words you got the mower for free!!
I ran my TM raked to help it get through as it was marginally powered IMO. Just got a Plastic EGO strictly for trimming and can't imagine needing to do this with this machine.
Great initial review! I'm in the Makita/Milwaukee battery ecosystem, and this mower looks markedly better than Ego's other offerings. Cut quality looks good too. Like the Milwaukee M18 mower, the big question remains who are the target buyers for a 21" push mower at that price point. Looking forward to seeing the longer term observation as the summer progresses
It's all about enjoying that extra inch! 🤣
Great framing with the camera at the grass surface 👍👍👍
Don’t fold the handle down if you can avoid it. The wiring inside is a mess and shorts out
Love your videos. I own EGO attachment series but the electric mower with the switched speed is terrible for me. I don't like the jolt it gives you when you press the button. I think you even mentioned it on one of your reviews I saw a while back. I have 3 Toros and just love the 60V Super Recycler. The cut quality is superb and it feels very natural like a gas lawnmower. To me the Milwaukee throttle or the Honda is the best where you can control it as you need it. Thanks for the review I was looking forward to this new model but not convinced with the forward button style.
THIS! Exactly! The big issue with Ego and most other battery mowers is the drive. Either ON or OFF is terrible. The takeoff should be smooth, and the operator should be able to intuitively and easily change speed at any time without taking their hands off the handle, and go back to the preset max speed.
The only mowers that allow this are Honda, Toro, and Milwaukee.
Honda and Toro do it the old fashioned way with a belt slip clutch (Toro and lower Hondas, or with a Hydrostatic Valve. Toro electrics just use the gas transmission, so very smooth.
Milwaukee has by far the best electric drive. Quiet, smooth, easy to modulate and intuitive.
The drive system is, by far, the biggest contributor to “enjoying the now”.
Also - the Milwaukee and Hondas allow you to pull the mower backwards without locking the wheel (like the Ego).
@@JR-sr6go Absolutely correct. I was exited to get the Ego but when I saw that I would not pay that much for a winy mower. I was going to get the Milwaukee but not cheap. I love the Honda drive type my favorite. I got the Toro and works great for me. Thanks
Those clumps of clippings at the same reason I returned my ego 5 years ago when I got it and switched to Toro cordless. I see they still have not fixed that.
My 60v Toro SR doesn’t leave anything behind - even in damp grass it obliterates everything
I hate how mine always leaves behind uncut strands since day 1. Just random strands will be left standing.I have tried sharpening the blade, new blade, walking faster, walking slower....nothing helps. I borrowed my mom's very old, very cheap gas mower and it never did this, so I concluded it wasn't me or my mowing style.
What would you recommend between this model and the 2156sp model?
Can you convince Ego to make a cordless dethatcher 🤔
what happened to Torro lawn mowers?
This is your lawn right now? Man I'm jealous. I'm up in NEFL and we are still dormant and hopefully averaging 60 degrees in soil soon.
I'm just following my app. The Stress Blend really does bring on the green without the hard corps push of too much N early.
Is there a Milwaukee Mower review? Or maybe you could let me know which one do you like more?
Thanks for the great review, Allyn. A couple of questions, though. What is the model number of that new Ego mower? What is YOUR (not the manufacturer's claim) experience of the charge time from 0% to 100%, and what is the runtime from 100% to 0%?
I'm not sure on the charge time because I charge all my stuff in the back of the zero turn. That would make for a good test later this year though becuase I have a couple different chargers here. As far as run time on this one, I have not tested that yet either but will later in the season for sure. This is going to be my daily driver mower for the 2024 season so much more content to come on it.
@@Thelawncarenut Model number, Allyn?
@@benharrison1069 I googled "ego aluminum deck mower". It was the first result. I clicked on the link. It had the model number there.
Might be a good strategy idk
Iv’e never seen you review a weibang bbc mower! There commercial mowers for the homeowner! and there shaft driven!..I think you would like the cut! There blades are wider! Then most push mowers! I’ve had one for 6 years! I decided to give ego a try and im still testing there 2135sp model!
My 1st battery lawnmower was Ryobi. I noticed the cut quality wasn’t as nice as my prior owned gas mower. After several years I decided it was time for an upgrade. I really wanted an Ego.. although different they seemed similar in feel to Ryobi. I went with Green Machine (not the big wheel from when we were kids..lol)
Body is metal, self propelled(or not if you want), 5 different cutting options, big wheels.. the heft reminds me of a gas lawnmower.. cutting is AWESOME!!
Got it last summer(2023)
Wish Ego had that model before I went Green Machine.
Love your videos. Cuttin seasons almost here 😅
almost time to enjoy the mow, bro!
I got the new 22” aluminum 2206 or whatever the model number is.
Used it about 8 times.
It is fantastic. I had two Honda HRX.
It runs easier, smoother, and stronger than both of them. It cuts my grass so better than I expected too.
I keep telling my wife I’m going to go mow haha.
I did notice though it seems like the clippings somehow end up on top of the deck more than my Hondas did. But I leaf blow it after every use anyways.
How do you like the drive system? What I love about my 18 year old Honda is that the drive can be “feathered” so that I can control the speed by just squeezing the clutch nail more or less. It takes off easy, and is easy to slow down for obstacles, corners, etc… the Ego is just on or off. Jerky takeoff, and have to take hands off handle to turn the dial, and then turn it back. Backward.
@@JR-sr6go I love it. Took a little getting used to.
Each thumb has its own button to activate cruise control.
The dial is right in the middle and is easily accessed. It spins forward for faster and toward the driver for slower.
Sometimes I don’t even use the cruise control because it’s so easy to manipulate even though it’s 80 pounds.
I mowed yesterday. The more I use it the more I like it over my Honda hrx217 which I used for ten years.
On level 2 (engine has three speeds, aside from the cruising speed) it mulched my yard and leaves perfectly.
I let my grass grow til it was about 8 inches - in my back yard because I live in a subdivision - and my grass is healthy and thick. The ego went through it on turbo mode (engine speed) and about 2/3 cruising speed and still left a beautiful lawn afterwards.
The 10ah battery does my entire yard on level 2, and still has about 40% battery left. I push mow for around 45 minutes. Slight grade on the yard.
The aluminum body shows no signs of wear or tear in the three or four months of mowing every 4-5 days.
I have hosed it off really really good one time. Let it dry out for a few days. No issues.
I don’t miss gas, oil, spark plugs, bad idling. Haha. But I did keep my Hondas just because one was $550 and the hrx217 I paid $650 for ten years ago.
@@americandude3825 Thanks for the feedback! Always good to hear from a fellow Honda owner for perspective!
@@JR-sr6go anytime. Take care. Good luck with your decision.
I got mine on a sale they did I think in the spring.
It came with the 10ah battery and fast charger as standard. Then I got a 5ah battery “free.”
Also got the attachment that can separate from the lower part and have the edger. Going to grab the hedge trimmer for it.
I bought the weed eater separate instead of the attachment for the piece above I mentioned because it was on sale and less expensive than the weed eater attachment. Their base model weed eater is powerful enough for anything I can imagine anyone needing it for. It has two speeds and telescoping shaft for different heights.
@@americandude3825 Did you get the string trimmer with bump-less string advance?
I have the 80 volt professional Greenworks self propelled mower and love it. I did have the Ego equivalent but didn’t like it as well. I would like to try out the Ego mower he reviewed but for $1200 I think I’ll pass on it.
What happened to all the toro gear?
I still have my Super Recycler in the garage.
It just came to my mind , why not paint the underside of the aluminium deck with Rhino turf , the stuff they put on Pickup beds , might help keep the aluminium underside from corroding🤔
Is the bagging blade included? The one I'm looking at at Lowes says it's not. If not, can the mulching blades be used with a bag?
Mine came with both mulching and bagging blades but yes, the mulch blades will bag just fine.
I have an Ego and I kept my old gas mower. I would choose my gas mower any day of the week, over the Ego, or any other electric mower. The Ego doesn't suck up grass like the gas mower does. And the Ego can't be lowered enough for my liking. To me, the Ego was a waste of my $500.
This one is $1300!! 😂
The mower is nifty as is normal with Ego, however, with the Aluminum Deck and large push rail structure, and 10 AH battery, this thing is a pig to push! I never used the power assist [my wife did] but this thing is a workout to push compared to my old 21-inch self-propelled with the folding collapsable handle. I'll be trying the self-propel on occasion which will reduce the battery life.
Hey from Palm Harbor. No Boogaloo Assassins? I miss those guys on your old video formats. Al, this was a terrific video and I appreciate the demo. The COST though is eye popping! Let's keep the old format rolling. BTW, how are the tropical plants and landscaping going. I thoroughly enjoyed that video!
Now that this mower has been out and people have had a chance to use it where would y’all rank it in the battery mower market? Seriously thinking about getting one to replace my 3 year old select xp
First time on your videos and i clicked on this one because I thought about telling my kid who is about to buy a home about this one. It was nice to see how upgraded it is, but why the weird noise? Do you have to be strong to push this one or do you think a young adult female who doesn’t weigh much could push it just fine for under half acre ?
I want to try mowing my lawn myself and I am not sure which mower to purchase. I have a 500 ft St Augustine lawn. I am looking for a small, simple, light and easy to use mower. What would you recommend?
Heavy mowers are hard to turn. But the self propelled feature is nice
How do you power it off when done? I push the power button, it doesn't turn off
I like this mower, only issue I've heard is gear whine. I can hear some in the video is it really noticeable? Trying to decide between this and the Toto Super Recyclable Aluminum deck
Are you no longer using any Toro mowers? I see your garage is full of EGO mowers.
Have you tried the Toro 60V ETimemaster 30"?
Bro, hard flexing with that lawn!! It’s actually distracting from the review itself. But, I’m sure it makes a surreal mow, and that’s what it’s all about.
Can you adjust the cutting height in 1/2 inch increments? On the early models you couldn't.
yes you can. 8 total positions
Wonder how it’s gonna go fixing these up when they come into my shop
I have stayed away from electric mowers for 2 reasons. I need to mow sometimes when grass is wet, Ego manual previously said NOT to use on wet grass, and secondly because they could not free-wheel backwards. I need to mow under some hedges, then pull it back. No problem for these with my self-propelled Honda gas. Is this Ego different?
have not have any issues cutting wet grass or sometime under light rain at towards the end of the cut with two different models now for the past 5 years. It is not rated as waterproof but it is rated as water resistance.
@@Jeo-What Maybe, but owners manual (read online) says not to mow wet grass.
Is it easier to get the deck clean?
I guess they're counting on their name and that additional 1" width to convince people to spend $100 more than the Milwaukee M18 Fuel mower, which also an aluminum deck, that has become the standard among top of the line battery powered mowers.
I've heard good things - I need to try one myself
This mower is a LOT more powerful than the Milwaukee. Milwaukee is fine if you have their power tools but their out door equipment does not have the umph you need at 18 V.
I SEE Ego - I hear Ergo in my head.
What's the differences with this one vs the commercial lmx5300sp?
I have to lift and transport my lawnmower to other properties. I prefer the composite material.
I think im going to upgrade from my old ego to the Toro timemaster 60v
Sounds like a 03 termi cobra mowing the lawn!!!!
As long as you already have a decent lawn without a ton of rocks, twigs, and debris you shouldn't really need a metal deck with a battery powered mower. There is virtually no vibration with a battery mower (especially versus a gas motor) and the risk of the composite (plastic) deck fatiguing and failing is almost nil.
I would like my Ego push mower to cut lower than 1.5", but I found some wheels at Harbor Freight that are an inch smaller for the front and back that allowed me to scalp my Bermuda.
I really wish Ego would quit pushing their mower lineup higher up in price. I can't imagine that too many people are going to want to spend $1200 on a walk behind.
I need to cut below 1.5 inches. I have the LM2100sp. Harbor Freight. Can you tell me how your new wheels 'adapted' ? Which brand ?
Great vid. Very informative. I considered one last summer, but would up going with a commercial grade Toro gas unit. I only have 1/4 acer and NEED TO bag. Can the Ego bag? If so, how does it affect battery life?
Thanks
Yeah, I have had all the ego push mowers too and was never happy with their cut quality. It just wasn't ever good enough for me so I agree with you!
Could you please tell me if the wheels 🛞 are plastic or rubber.
the tread is rubber, the wheels are plastic
cut quality honestly looks the same as the regular recycler. and that cost significantly less than this one. 60v or gas.
I like the smell of Ethanol Free gas when I mow
Future Islands….can’t wait to see em live in June
Forget that crap. Bring back the Lawn Boy 2 cycle !

@@mplslawnguy3389 Yes.
This may be the one for me. I bought an original in 2016 and suffered through a month of shitty cuts, bought a Honda. I'm still using the Honda and it's my only gas powered equipment. You didnt even mention Battery life ??
21 inch blades?
I just cant give up my Toro with Personal Pace. The electric drive noise for me would drive me crazy.
Thanks for the video I really like mine.... I can see why the noise might bother some but I guess everyone has different hearing sensitivity. A pair of noise canceling earbuds while I do the yard drowns out 90% of it anyways.
Just ordered Certianty, when is a good time to spray the poa in the lawn with it? 10 day forecast is showing lows in 50s highs in low 70s got some green coming out of the St aug is there anything I should be applying to help it? App is telling me on the 2nd to apply Freedom. Thanks
I don’t know why Ego would make it with an aluminum deck, the plastic one I have is light and durable. I’m completely satisfied with it.
$1200 no wonder why you enjoy the free products for good reviews. Your garage is fulled with ego mowers.
I have the LM2100SP model. Only the one original blade. My lawn is Discovery Bermuda. I can only cut down to 1 1/2 inches. Need to cut at 1 inch. HELP !
Does your lawn really look that good in February? Well done.
yes thanks! I hit it with 7-0-20 Stress Blend a few weeks ago.
Excellent review 👏
thank you!
But how does it do against bermudagrass?
When it comes to electric push mowers, I would strongly suggest people consider brands/models that allow the user to control the blade speed, e.g Eco/Normal/Powerful. The mowers that use automatic electronic governors are useless in long grass in my opinion, because at the end of a run, when you’re turning the mower around, the mower blades slow down, then the slow blades hit the long grass and it takes 3-6 feet before the blades speed up, affecting the quality of cut.
The unit you reviewed gets a tick in this regard ✅
However, the unit you reviewed seemingly has a terrible whine in its forward propulsion motor 🤔
Hey @lawncarenut, I’m a homeowner in southeast Florida, in the Hobe sound area, I just got 11 pallets of st.Augustine sod delivered Monday and I found your videos and love them!
Other than watering it right now, what else should I be doing to ensure the sod takes root and does not die. I bought your boot camp and have combed your videos but I don’t see much of fresh new sod, please help. Thanks 😊
Hey bro, first thing I always recommend with watering is that after you finish a cycle, go out and lift up the sod in several places and make sure it's wet underneath. Not soaked and muddy, just wet. That ensures you are watering enough. This time of year 2-3 times per day would be best. Other than that, hit it with RGS (sea Kelp) at 6oz/1000 right now and again in 2 weeks. that will help it root. thelawncarenut.com/collections/n-ext/products/rgs-root-growth-liquid-biostimulant#
@@Thelawncarenut Just purchased RGS, and I will begin to check the sod underneath. I currently have not done that and have been running each zone for about 40min, 9 zones.
The drive gear makes an awful noise, wow.
Use a quiet gas mower then LMAO
@@troyhoughor use an old ego mower that doesn’t have the crazy loud whine?
@@dnairishor quit screwing around with Ego and get a Toro or a Honda.
@@dnairish Crazy loud whine? Have you ever mowed before?
Corners were cut in production for this one. I think we found where all the speed iq gearboxes were used after discontinuation.
Yes we enjoyed the video. Did you ever do one on the Toro 60V mower?
