Most things can catch fire when you apply 300 volts 😅 it's rated for 12 volts and was running great at that voltage and can probably be pushed far beyond that in short periods without issues
I love this! Especially how much magic smoke it took to make the turntable work. And how that massage pillow motor took up to 190V before it popped and caught fire. And I'd love to see the destruction inside the turntable. Great job once again! Please do more of this!
So much magic smoke is needed to make a record player work but evidently fire is needed to make a massage pillow work. Amazing the game boy took nearly 10volts but the screen went crazy long before the CPU eventually died
@@Козелка36 probably the heat from the CPU cooked the liquid crystals or the backlight LED was overdriven and got hot. Blackening happens when LCD displays get warm.
It is interesting that it ran faster. Normally that should not be possible due to use of a quartz for the clock. Wonder now if replacing one of the AA cells in a Gameboy by a 3.7V Lithium cell makes it go faster and allows for cheating at speedrunning. Of course this would quickly be found out anyway ;)
@@divVerent cheap crap like that usually uses an RC oscillator and both resistors and capacitors change value when they heat up so the speed does change once the voltage is high enough to cook the components.

The pillow, holy shit. Record player was amazing (try it direct drive next time with modification for the tone arm!), the cassette player was pretty much turned into a record player (if one could instantly reverse the polarity using a rocker or flip switch, a tape could be played backwards instantly!), then it popped. The stereo on the otherhand, holy fuck it didn't take much. LOL
2:58 - god, that thing looks creepy-like, i know its a massager pillow, but just looks creepy looking to me.... that motor blowout must have been loud.

If you ever need a powerful, durable and cheap dual-axis DC motor, I can recommend buying one of these massage pillows!
