I think Kris wants things to go back to the way they use to: their parents being together, being friends with Noelle; Asriel, Dess, Noelle and them hanging out... I think all of that changed after Dess' disappearance and they think everything will be fixed once she comes back
DRT: Susie is Harem protag theory: In deltarune, we play as Kris, so obviously we are the protag right? Wrong. Throughout chapters 1&2, susie undergoes the most character development. In addition, she has consistantly proven to be more canonically shippable than other characters. In chapter one, she is matched only by Kris, if KriSusie is a thing, and wins if Ralsusie is a thing, with Ralsusie, Suselle, & Krisusie, beating everyone in the chapter. In chapter 2, this remains true, Susie gains berdly with him flirting with her, and she reinforces all her existing ships. If you want more evidence then please ask.
DRT Mayor Holiday is the knight Imagine this: Your daughter mysteriously disappears and some weird guy tells you she’s in some sort of “dark world” but also tells you that you could create these dark worlds by simply stabbing the ground (not telling her about the roaring and stuff). I think Gaster is manipulating Mayor Holiday into causing the roaring while She is searching for Dess. But HEY! That’s just a THEORY!!! A GAME THEORY!!!!

Temmie will be the sacrifice, making true on her promise to become something we can't even imagine.

That they would create dark world for fun / entertainment, or maybe as some sort of therapy idk. Then after too many where made something close to the roaring happened, thus the ban of the tradition. This would one, explain how the darkners have memory of things in the past and why they have stories. And two, why many darkners feel betrayed by their lightner counterparts.
